ATLANTA – The much-anticipated annual Candler Park Music & Food Festival returns to Candler Park in Atlanta on Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3. Produced by Rival Entertainment and sponsored by Athens-based Terrapin Brewing Co., 2017’s two-day event offers an incredible lineup of live music, food and local artisans in an all-ages, family-friendly festival environment. The live-music-filled weekend lineup features Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Railroad Earth, Lake Street Dive, Matisyahu, The Motet, The Marcus King Band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Ripe, as well as Atlanta artists Chelsea Shag and Webster.

“Rival Entertainment is proud of our little neighborhood summer festival at Candler Park that began 8 years ago and has grown to be a truly relevant Atlanta affair,” says Festival Producer and Rival Entertainment Partner Josh Antenucci. “We’ve always focused on offering the biggest talent lineup possible while being the best-produced neighborhood event in town. This year will be no exception.”

As its name suggests, the festival isn’t just about a live music experience. This year, the event will feature more than 20 local food trucks and local restaurant vendors. But the fun doesn’t stop there—additional experiences include a local artist market, adult field games by Atlanta Sport & Social Club, the Terrapin Draft Lounge offering an expanded selection of rare Terrapin brews, a craft cocktail bar and a Saturday morning 5K race benefiting Atlanta ContactPoint.

A portion of festival proceeds will support the festival’s philanthropic beneficiaries including City of Atlanta parks and Candler Park community organizations. “Last year’s Candler Park Music & Food Festival’s philanthropy fund topped $28,000. It’s an incredible opportunity for our local small business to give back,” says Antenucci. “Those dollars went directly into our City of Atlanta Parks, neighborhood security, community programming and an education fund at Mary Lin Elementary. It’s a real community impact, made possible by people’s love of live music.”

Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 2 and noon on Saturday, June 3. Weekend tickets cost $25 for General Admission and $80 for VIP and are now on sale at candlerparkmusicfestival.com. All persons 12 years old and over require a ticket. Children under 12, accompanied by an adult ticketholder, do not require tickets.
