Skyline Park, Nine Mile Station and Rooftop Terrace to Host Patriotic “Rooftop Backyard BBQ”

 

ATLANTA (Thursday, May 18, 2017) – Hail the stars and stripes this Independence Day at Ponce City Market’s inaugural Rooftop Backyard BBQ event on Tuesday, July 4! From 5 to 11 p.m., guests are invited to break out their red, white and blue for an evening of barbecue, libations, live music, entertainment and the city’s best panoramic fireworks view to celebrate America’s birthday.

 

The roof will offer three ways to celebrate Fourth of July at Skyline Park, Nine Mile Station and Rooftop Terrace. Each experience will give guests access to skyline views, jugglers, stilt walkers, fireworks and live music, in addition to signature menu items such as the “Walking Taco,” a snack-size bag of Fritos, opened up and filled with braised beef, pico de gallo and guacamole. General admission tickets will be available for purchase at the door only and VIP Admission and Rooftop Terrace BBQ Admission can be purchased on Eventbrite and in advance online here.

 

General Admission

Families are invited to head up to Skyline Park, the roof’s boardwalk amusement park, for a family-friendly celebration. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, and free for children under three years old. General admission tickets will be available to purchase at the door and will include:

  • Elevator access to Skyline Park
  • DJ Hands of Grace
  • Complimentary boiled peanuts (while supplies last)
  • Kids’ activities including face painting and balloon artists
  • Access to Skyline Park’s regular menu and special treats including regular and adult snow cones
  • Open access to the Slide and Heege Tower

 

Rooftop Terrace BBQ

For $55 per person, guests can enjoy an exclusive barbecue dinner at Rooftop Terrace, the roof’s private, tented event space located on the East side of the rooftop, adjacent to Skyline Park. Terrace ticket access will include:

  • Expedited check-in and roof access
  • Live band at Rooftop Terrace
  • Barbecue buffet dinner featuring pulled pork. BBQ chicken, sliced beef brisket, sides and dessert
  • Two drink tickets (choice of beer or wine)
  • Elevator access to roof
  • General admission access at Skyline Park

 

VIP Admission (200 tickets)

For a more extravagant affair this Fourth of July, guests are invited to Nine Mile Station, the roof’s modern beer garden on the west side of the rooftop, adjacent to Skyline Park. For $75 per person, tickets include:

  • Elevated barbecue dinner at Nine Mile Station featuring whole roasted suckling pig, smoked leg of lamb, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, sliced beef brisket and sides
  • Dessert display featuring fruit, cookies, brownies, lemon bars and chocolate covered strawberries
  • Exclusive seating and viewing of fireworks display and the best panoramic sunset views of the skyline
  • Two drink tickets (choice of beer, wine or cocktail)
  • Elevator access to roof
  • Access to Skyline Park and Rooftop Terrace BBQ access

Free Music Series for Ages 21 and Up Every Sunday April 30 Through October 1, 2017

 

Atlanta, Georgia  – Park Tavern has announced the addition of several new artists to Sunset Sessions powered by Mountain Dew – a weekly, alternative music series in Piedmont Park. First launched in 2015, Radio 105.7, The Bowery Presents and Park Tavern have once again come together to bring Atlantans and visitors alike an incredible lineup of live music from some of today’s most buzz-worthy artists every Sunday for free this spring and summer. The annual series kicked off on April 30th under Park Tavern’s spacious, air conditioned Garden Tent with the Southern tinged rock band Atlas Road Crew, Disco Tendencies, and The Gypsies. Since then, Sunset Sessions has welcomed capacity crowds to enjoy such well know acts as: San Fermin, Sweet Tea Trio, and Trae Pierce & the T-Stone. Taking a brief hiatus for the Memorial Day holiday, Sunset Sessions returned June 4th, with a stronger than ever lineup to take fans into the summer. Confirmed artists include: Jamestown Revival, Colter Wall and Cody Huggins (6/4); John Paul White and Lera Lynn and Old Sea Brigade (6/11); Noah Kahan and The Georgia Flood (6/18); Surfer Blood, Winter and Small Reactions (6/25); Ruby Velle & the Soulphonics (7/2); Blair Crimmins & the Hookers (7/9); The Whiskey Gentry, Pony League and Little Country Giants (7/16); The Howling Tongues and Sunny South Blues Band (7/23); Quaildogs (7/30); Radio Birds, Cordovas and Foxtrot & the Get Down (8/6); Girls Guns & Glory and Cold Heart Canyon (8/20); Tropidelic (9/3) and Wes Cook (9/10). More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

 

Located conveniently off of the Atlanta BeltLine, concert goers can enjoy giveaways throughout the series and, the opportunity to mingle with Aly, Knox, and Sully from Radio 105.7 in Atlanta. Plus, fans can try specialty seasonal cocktails, house-brews, 1/2 off sushi from 10 p.m. to midnight, and much more. Atlanta Food and Wine Festival 2017

About: Centrally located in Midtown Atlanta, the seventh annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival will bring together more than 180 chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, and pit-masters from Texas to the District of Columbia June 1 – 4 at the Loews Atlanta Hotel. Through in-depth Learning Experiences, all-you-can indulge Tasting Tents, distinct Dinners, and Events, and a talented Advisory Council, the four-day event provides guests with countless ways to know the South. Refined Learning Experiences include classes from 40 to 150 with offerings from technique laboratories, pairing sessions, tasting seminars, and panel discussions plus increased time between classes giving guests more opportunities to connect with talent after class. 2017 Candler Park Music and Food Festival

About: Candler Park Music & Food Festival returns to Candler Park in Atlanta on Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3. Produced by Rival Entertainment and sponsored by Athens-based Terrapin Brewing Co., 2017’s two-day event offers an incredible lineup of live music, food and local artisans in an all-ages, family-friendly festival environment. The live-music-filled weekend lineup features Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Railroad Earth, Lake Street Dive, Matisyahu, The Motet, The Marcus King Band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Ripe, as well as Atlanta artists Chelsea Shag and Webster. As its name suggests, the festival isn’t just about a live music experience. This year, the event will feature more than 20 local food trucks and local restaurant vendors. But the fun doesn’t stop there—additional experiences include a local artist market, adult field games by Atlanta Sport & Social Club, the Terrapin Draft Lounge offering an expanded selection of rare Terrapin brews, a craft cocktail bar and a Saturday morning 5K race benefiting Atlanta ContactPoint.
