Atlanta restaurants have curated menus for Thanksgiving for dine-in and carry-out and have even added some pre-Thanksgiving events. Many menus take traditional meals and add a unique twist. Atlanta’s talented chefs are ready to prepare Thanksgiving feasts so home cooks can savor precious time with family and enjoy the holiday outside of the kitchen.

Midtown/Buckhead

Both 5Church Midtown and 5Church Buckhead will be open on Nov. 24 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. serving a bountiful Thanksgiving buffet. Buffet highlights include herb-roasted turkey and prime rib carving stations and an array of fresh salads, side dishes, and desserts including apple cider donuts and chocolate pecan pie bars. 5Church Midtown curates the perfect Thanksgiving with its family-style takeout packages: dinner for four is $250, dinner for six is $350 and dinner for eight is $450. Packages include slow-roasted turkey and sorghum and brown sugar-glazed ham; sides such as mac and cheese, pecan-glazed green beans, and cornbread stuffing; and a choice of one dessert from chocolate pecan pie or pumpkin cheesecake. Pickup is on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and once the order is placed online, an email will be sent to schedule a pickup time.

Upbeat Midtown restaurants 10th & Piedmont and Gilbert’s (aka G’s) invite guests to a traditional Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Among the featured items are a carving station with herb-crusted baked turkey with gravy, honey-roasted ham with a pineapple demi glaze, and bourbon-glazed salmon. These mains are complemented by an array of hot and cold sides and a dessert station including Caesar salad, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, country cornbread stuffing with gravy, green bean casserole, and chocolate truffle cake. Virginia-Highland

Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar in Virginia-Highland invites guests to dine in on Big Green Egg smoked turkey breast with caramelized apple and sage stuffing, braised pork shoulder with roasted root vegetables, green bean casserole with crispy onions and roasted mushrooms and more. Poncey-Highland

Get the holiday started with Southern Belle. Southern Belle will be hosting a pre-Thanksgiving Travel in a Glass wine class on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The class will include tastes and discussions of six wines perfect for pairing with the Thanksgiving meal. Chef Joey Ward and his team will provide small bites that pair with the wines. Tickets are $82 per person including service and can be purchased online.

Decatur

Revival is selling Thanksgiving sides starting Nov. 7 for pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 4-7:30 p.m. Among the featured sides are collard greens, cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, honey-molasses carrots, and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Southside

Wood’s Chapel BBQ on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill is serving Thanksgiving to-go. The a la carte menu includes a whole smoked turkey with gravy for $95 and a smoked turkey breast for $65. Wood’s Chapel also is offering a dinner for four ($215) and a dinner for eight ($395) with all the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home. Alpharetta/Milton

Cattle Shed is hitting all the marks with its four-course traditional Thanksgiving meal. The Alpharetta eatery will be open from 11:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. offering a four-course meal for $95 a person (plus tax and gratuity) and a kids’ plate for $19.95 (plus tax and gratuity). Menu highlights include an amuse-bouche of prosciutto deviled eggs, beet and pear salad with dates, eight-ounce filet mignon, and halibut almondine with almonds and brown butter. Each meal comes with a large side such as sweet potato mash with brûlée marshmallows, baked three-cheese mac and cheese, or asparagus with hollandaise. The dessert options include caramel cake, pumpkin crème brûlée, and sweet potato cheesecake. The kids’ menu features smoked turkey breast, house-made gravy, classic mac and cheese, and peanut butter cake. Optional wine pairings are available for $35 per person. Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails is offering a three-course prix-fixe menu from executive chef Derek Dollar from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Menu highlights include butternut squash bisque with maple crème fraîche and pumpkin seed granola; applewood smoked turkey with sage-corn spoonbread, green bean casserole, blood orange-cranberry relish, and Madeira turkey gravy; shrimp and grits with red and yellow bell peppers, smoked bacon, mushroom scallions, tomatoes, lemon butter sauce, and cheddar stone-ground grits; and dark chocolate pie with salted caramel. The turkey comfortably feeds six to eight guests with sides feeding two to four. A sides pack of five savory sides also is available for $100 (early-bird pricing of $80 if ordered by Oct. 31). The Award-Winning Restaurant Welcomes Michelin Star Guest Chef Nicolai Tram

Known for its elevated dining experiences, Atlas, located at the St. Regis in Atlanta, continues to lead the way in Atlanta’s culinary scene. This November, it plans to continue its Four Hands Collaborative Dinner Series, along with introducing a brand new dining series, Atlas Away. Both events will feature Atlas’s Executive Chef Freddy Money and Michelin Star Guest Chef Nicolai Tram from Knystaforsen in Sweden.

The first Atlas Away will be held in the woods at Chattahoochee Hills, with well-known Atlantan Dominique Love, enjoying the wooded backdrop of CERES, a soon-to-launch culinary community. Cooked over an open fire, paying homage to the concept behind Chef Tram’s restaurant in Sweden, the dinner is $460/person (including tax + gratuity) and takes place from 3-7 p.m., featuring local ingredients and holistically sourced products to showcase the Nordic cuisine. LATIN RESTAURANT WEEK ATLANTA 2022

Latin Restaurant Weeks (LRW) celebrates its inaugural year to drive awareness to Atlanta’s Latin chefs, restaurant
owners, caterers, and bartenders while spotlighting the diversity of Latin flavors offered throughout the city. In partnership
with Grubhub and Feed the Soul Foundation, local restaurants will feature special dishes and menus showcasing a wide
range of Latin American/Hispanic businesses.


The “Tour de Sabor” campaign – tour of the flavors – encourages residents to expand their palate during the two-week
event beginning on Friday, November 4 through Friday, November 18. LRW will bring prominence to the variety of Latin
regions represented in the greater Atlanta area. Participants will highlight menu selections that represent their fare’s
authenticity and culture. While each style of cooking implements unique methods with region-specific produce and spices,
all Latin/Hispanic foods present bold flavors and evokes feelings of nostalgia.


Latin Restaurant Weeks encourages participants to create an experience outside of their traditional offerings – reintroduce
discontinued features, prix fixe menus and/or developing meal-beverage pairings – to pique the public’s interest. This
method may assist business owners and chefs with establishing new dining opportunities in an overall effort to expand
their customer base. This year’s participants feature an authentic taste of Venezuelan gastronomy at Arepita Cafe or
Mango Latino Grill, savory dishes from the Dominican Republic at Mamajuana Restaurant & Lounge, or robust
Mexican fare at El Taco Veloz.


Atlanta is one of the fastest-growing regions for Latinx growth with over 49% of all foreign-born residents in the city
identifying as Hispanic and/or Latinx – and expected to be home to over 820,000 Latines by 2040. The amount of growth
within the Latinx community is due to the ever-growing business scene in the Atlanta metropolitan area. LRW partners
with Hispanic entrepreneurs and professionals of the culinary industry to elevate them through the platform created for
aspiring and existing Latinx hospitality professionals. Co-founded by Karinn Andréa Chavarria, the campaign originated
in Houston in 2019 and was designed to highlight the contributions of Latinos in the culinary industry as an integral part of
the local community.


“As we close our National Hispanic Heritage Month, it’s crucial to highlight and support Latinx businesses outside of a
30-day awareness period,” explains Chavarria. “We witnessed significant successful markers for our participants in
Houston, Chicago and Miami. As a resident of Atlanta, we are especially excited to add the city to our campaign by
contributing to the growth of the city’s cultural and social influences. Our platform showcases varying Latin countries in
addition to the distinct regions within those territories while highlighting the complexities of their cuisine. LRW’s ‘Tour de
Sabor’ provides a path for Atlantans to discover a hidden gem or visit their favorite restaurant, coffee shop, food truck,
bakery, and caterer.”


LRW gives participants a voice and increased visibility. Since its first year, a majority of LRW participating restaurants
reported seeing up to a 20% increase in foot traffic as well as an increase in social media engagement, along with
awareness among new customers during and following the campaign.

PONCE CITY MARKET TO HOST SUNDAY SUPPER SOUTH

Honoring the South’s Harvest from Local Farms, Menu will Feature Dishes from Chefs Across Georgia

After a three-year hiatus, Sunday Supper South, the annual charity dinner held to raise funds for the James Beard Foundation®, will return to Atlanta on Sunday, November 6 at Ponce City Market. Created to embrace the simple cooking philosophy and inspired by the harvest of the South, Sunday Supper South is hosted by Anne Quatrano, beloved Atlanta chef and owner of Bacchanalia, Star Provisions Market & Cafe, W.H. Stiles Fish Camp and Floataway Cafe. Tickets are now available here.

This year, the event will honor the region’s harvest with a vegetable-forward menu featuring dishes from a dozen-and-a-half Georgia chefs who will incorporate produce from local farms like White Oak Pastures, Riverview Farms, Woodland Gardens, Crystal Organic Farm, Sweet Grass Dairy and more. The chef lineup will be announced soon.

The evening will kick off at 5:30pm with a cocktail reception along the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail at The Shed, with drinks from Atlanta’s top beverage industry vets and passed hors d’oeuvres. Following, guests will gather around festive communal tables in Ponce City Market’s third floor Trestle to enjoy a plated dinner highlighting Georgia’s creative talents and artisan producers. The night will end with a dessert station featuring treats from some of Atlanta’s most talented pastry chefs.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the James Beard Foundation®, which celebrates and supports the people behind America’s food culture, while pushing for new standards in the restaurant industry to create a future where all have the opportunity to thrive. Through the mantra of Good Food for Good®, the organization is committed to providing chefs and other leaders in the food community with the support, tools and resources they need to make our food culture more sustainable, equitable and delicious for everyone.

This is the sixth year that Sunday Supper South will take place at Ponce City Market. Atlanta’s historic, mixed-use community hub features a Central Food Hall, serving as home to both established chefs and emerging new talent across the country, as well as fashion and retail shops, residential lofts, offices for innovation and technology companies, and more. Ponce City Market recently broke ground on its next chapter, which is converting underutilized areas to productive economic and community use. DINE WITH ADELE’S TO HELP BREAST CANCER RESEARCH THIS OCTOBER

The neighborhood eatery will release specialty menus whose proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research

On Wednesday, October 5th, Adele’s will launch special menus to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Located in the Old Fourth Ward, fundraising menus will be available during dinner and brunch until Wednesday, October 12th (Extended to 10/31). Adele’s is part of Nashville-based group, Red Pebbles Hospitality, who expanded the popular concept to Atlanta earlier this year. This initiative is of special and personal importance to the company as a whole, as too many members of the Red Pebbles team – both in Atlanta and Nashville – have been directly affected by breast cancer.

Hannah Young, executive chef of the Edgewood Avenue eatery, has curated menus that incorporate healthy, cancer-fighting superfoods suggested to patients by doctors to maintain an immune-healthy diet. The intimate dinner menu consists of dishes such as lentils with roasted sweet potatoes, shallots, and spinach, salmon with cauliflower, wilted kale, and housemade pepper relish, and raspberry rose cheesecake with an almond graham cracker crust. Furthermore, Adele’s will reimagine their weekend brunch buffet with pink pastries and cakes, and incorporate additional pink dishes and cocktails. 

“This is an important initiative we have spearheaded in years past with great success,” says Howard Greenstone, CEO of Red Pebbles Hospitality, “As many of our staff have been directly affected by breast cancer, this is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.”

The Adele’s beverage team has crafted specialty cocktails for the event – the pink gin-based Fight Back cocktail boasts citrus notes with lemon and orange liqueur while the tequila-based Angel Wings cocktail will be slightly sweeter with hints of coconut and pomegranate. For brunch, guests can expect riffs on classic brunch beverages such as the Pink Bellini

The Adele’s team will be wearing pink ribbon lapel pins, and the back-of-house staff will wear pink ball caps with the Adele’s logo. Red Pebbles Hospitality will donate a portion of the proceeds from the dinner, brunch, and cocktail menus to breast cancer research.

Atlanta’s esteemed Atlas restaurant invites Atlantans to experience its next installment of the Four Hands Collaboration Dinners, beginning this Wednesday, Oct. 5 and happening each night through Saturday, Oct. 8, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

This installment of the series features Two Michelin Star Chef Kirk Westaway from JAAN in Singapore. Chef Kirk is a multi-award-winning and
