Atlanta, Georgia—On Tuesday, October 18th, from 4pm to 8pm, Ponce City Market will host “Make Your Meal: A Celebration of Home Cooks,” a free food and drink tasting and shopping event open to the public in the Central Food Hall.

In addition to offering dine-in and takeout dishes for guests, all food stalls inside Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall carry grocery items and individual ingredients, curated by each restaurant’s owner and/or chef to reflect the menu’s flavor. For example, find Italian cheeses, cured meats, and imported jams, honey, and crackers from Bellina Alimentari, Mediterranean spices and housemade hummus from Marrakesh, South African rubs and chutneys from Biltong Bar, Mexican food staples like beans and Mixteca salt from Minero, hand-scooped, homemade pints from Honeysuckle Gelato, and growlers of craft beer from Tap on Ponce.

The October 18th event will celebrate the grocery aspect of the Central Food Hall, and visitors will have the opportunity to sample dishes and drinks from chefs at tables set up in front of their restaurants. Every dish and drink featured during the tasting event will highlight at least one ingredient available for purchase inside the respective food or drink stall. Chefs will also have take-home recipe cards for visitors who are interested in making the dish or cocktail at home using ingredients from the Central Food Hall.

This one-time tasting event will take place during the same hours as Ponce City Market’s weekly farmers market, so interested guests can pick up items at the farmers market and enjoy grocery shopping from food stalls inside the Central Food Hall. Complimentary market tote bags designed by celebrated, NYC-based illustrator Timothy Goodman will be distributed for visitors.
