On April 18th, the band concludes their Texas shows at Empire Garage in Austin, TX.

Their southern run continues at Yeehaw Brewing Company in Nashville, TN on April 21st, before Park Tavern at Piedmont Park in AtlantaGA hosts the band on April 22nd. Then, on April 23rd, the Rainbow Seekers hit Lenny Boy Brewing in Charlotte, NC, followed by Pour House in Charleston, SC on April 24thGreenville, SC sees the band next at Quest Brewing on April 28th. The band will head back to North Carolina, with a stop in Asheville at Salvage Station on April 29th, and the tour will come to a close in Columbus, OH at Woodland’s Tavern on April 30th.

As COVID-19 drastically altered life as we knew it, frontman Joe Hertler recalls the night in February 2020 when the band had to cancel their tour, and immediately rented a van to head home, embracing uncertainty and change like never before. “Change, I believe, is an expression of nature’s joy – and over the next year, we bunkered down, did what we were instructed to do, and learned to live our lives without live music. Humanity adapted, as it always does. I dare to say a sense of normalcy even emerged from the chaos, as we learned the value of patience.”

With a renewed sense of optimism, Hertler continues, “The lengthening light of spring will soon crack through winter’s shell – and it seems, perhaps, that we’re on track to return to life as it was. Outdoor, socially-distant show opportunities have been approved in many communities – and we, Rainbow Seekers, will be emerging from our dens.”

The band invites you to join them as they aim to bring a rainbow after the storm unleashed by a deadly pandemic. Joe echoes, “I have a feeling that 2021 is going to be one of the most refreshingly memorable years that any of us have yet to live.”

NATIONALLY-TOURING SELTZERLAND COMING TO ATLANTA

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 3/5/21

Saturday, April 3rd

Fox Creek Golf Club

Cannonball Productions will hit the fairways for their safely socially distanced, nationally-touring hard seltzer celebration like no other, called Seltzerland. Attendees are invited to leisurely walk the course while safely sampling from 50+ flavors of hard seltzer on Saturday, April 3rd at the picturesque Fox Creek Golf Club (1501 Windy Hill Road) in the Greater Atlanta area of Smyrna, with no actual golfing involved. Tickets for this can’t miss event begin at $29, are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.seltzerland.com.

Seltzerland debuted at Chicago’s Cog Hill Golf Club on August 2020, before heading to golf courses in Minneapolis, Denver, Tampa, and Dallas. All five events sold out and ticket holders enjoyed a day packed with brands big and small like White Claw, Bud Light Seltzer, Bon V!V, and Cutwater Spirits. Seltzerland’s 2021 tour will include stops in Austin, Scottsdale, Tampa and now Atlanta for the first time.

Guests are able to socially distance in groups of 20 or less and spread out across each course’s fairways. The best hard seltzer brands in the land — from iconic national brands, to beloved local companies — will be on-site offering a variety of beverage samplings, and HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Bacon will provide mouthwatering brunch bites.

“These past 11 months have been incredibly trying, and one thing we know is that everyone needs something to look forward to, now more than ever. As the weather became nicer, I, as a consumer, just wanted to get outside and have a drink with my friends while being safe. What better place to do that than on an open, outdoor, sprawling, and gorgeous golf course? With courses around the country open to the public and tee times available to manage check-in, it is
the safest venue and structure for in-person events. We know this experience will provide a safe opportunity to have some much-needed fun and we’re so excited to bring Seltzerland to life,” said Cannonball Productions CEO & Founder Kate Levenstien.

Safety is a primary focus of this event. Here are some of the precautions attendees can expect:
● Vendors and staff must wear protective gloves and regularly hand-wash. The public is also encouraged to wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer, and wear a face mask while not sampling.
● Attendees within different time slots must maintain at least six feet of space between each other, and vendors will also be spaced out accordingly to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
● Restrooms will have a devoted porter to regularly clean in between uses.

When purchasing tickets online, attendees will sign up for a “tee-time”, which is available every 10 minutes, for a group of 20 or less for this 2.5-hour experience. There are two ways to experience Seltzerland with General Admission and VIP tickets offered. General Admission tickets begin at $29 and VIP tickets start at $49. VIP ticket holders will kick off the event with premier timeslots, a full-sized can of hard seltzer, a specialty cocktail, and complimentary food.
For tickets and more information, visit https://www.seltzerland.com/. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/seltzerland/ Instagram: @seltzer_land

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 3/5/21

Test your St. Paddy’s Day knowledge for a chance to win the grand prize – your weight in beer!

Saturday, March 13
1 to 8 pm

Do you know the difference between a four-leaf clover and shamrock? If so, you don’t want to miss Eventide Brewing’s Shamrocks & Shenanigans, the brewery’s St. Paddy’s Day party, on March 13.

Eventide will test your St. Paddy’s Day knowledge with a winner-take-all-game of trivia from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., where one lucky team will win the equivalent of one team member’s weight in beer!

Teams may consist of 2-6 people, and each team member will receive a limited edition t-shirt and two Eventide beer tickets after registering. The cost for team registration is: $55 for a team of two, $100 for a team of four, and $135 for a team of six. Additional team members can be added for $25 each.

And what St. Paddy’s celebration would be complete without authentic Irish fare? Food will be available throughout the day from The Marlay House’s food truck, The Mobile Marlay, which features battered fresh fish and perfectly fried hand-cut chips.

Finally, guests will enjoy live music throughout the day from Alex Cavanaugh.

For more information and to register for trivia, visit Eventide’s event page: https://www.eventidebrewing.com/stpaddys2021.

The Cigar Cellar

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 3/3/21

Dark stained wood lines the wall, a black piano sits in the corner, several plush leather chairs dot the floor space, as the large, elegant bar wraps around the entire room and displays all the beautiful liquor assortment perfectly. In the middle of the space, a humidor with all types of cigars illuminates the low-lit interior of The Cigar Cellar, a new cigar lounge with swanky cocktails and divine eats. On Valentine’s Day we ventured up to this new spot to check out their new brunch menu including superb Steak and Eggs, fresh French Toast launched that very day, as well as a killer Breakfast Burger, Mimosas, Bloody Marys and a fantastic signature Old Fashioned. So, let’s light up a cigar, sip on the Cellar Signature Smoked Old Fashioned, and get some stellar food. Who’s hungry?

Nothing goes as well with a freshly lit cigar than a perfectly balanced old fashioned. The Cigar Cellar’s Cellar Signature Smoked Old Fashioned is one experience cocktail to behold! Executed flawlessly, the cocktail is placed in a dome and filled with smoke and presented to the customer and the dome removed and the smoke released unveiling the beautiful old fashioned inside. Beyond the beautiful presentation, the cocktail itself is a flavor extravaganza starting sweet and boozy and ending with a light smoke finish. This is a must try! All of their glass wear and cocktails are presented well, we loved the design on the Bloody Mary glass in particular.  Stunning.

From the brunch menu, we selected the French Toast, Breakfast Burger, and Steak and Eggs. Starting with the French Toast was pretty spectacular with a slight crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. From the crunch of the nuts, the tang of the fruit, and the right amount of maple syrup, the toast had a ton of flavor all the way around. The second entrée we sampled was the Breakfast Burger with Bravas Patatas.  This delicious option has everything you’d want with a savory runny egg, hearty-cut bacon, gooey sharp cheddar cheese and double angus patties all encompassed in a toasty-buttery bun. The burger is perfectly seasoned and is a great bite! The accoutrement to the burger were the Bravas Patatas that were perfectly cooked and crisp, hearty, and warm, topped with a spicy, sweet aioli that’s amazingly good. Our pro tip is to put some of the potatoes and aioli on the burger, you’ll thank us.

Of all the bites we tried, our favorite had to be the superb Steak and Eggs. Fall-apart tender and meaty pieces of steak atop of some crunchy, sweet, spicy potatoes and grits and next to that sensationally seasoned over-medium eggs! Just imagine the meaty and tender steak mixed with the crunch of the potatoes, spiciness and sweetness of the grits and sauce, then even more taste with the addition of the runny egg to liven up the dish with some savor. Can’t stop thinking about all the flavors combined; we’d recommend getting all the ingredients together in one bite. Divine.

As we sat by the fire on the patio, we lightly chatted with a couple at a table near us and finished sipping on our drinks. This will be a Valentine’s Day to remember for sure. What do you want to try?
