The Grant Park Conservancy has revealed the live music lineup and schedule for the 15th annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, 2017. Earning a reputation as a must-attend event to see some of the hottest up-and-coming bands, local talent and notable favorites, festival goers are invited to watch two days of nonstop high-energy performances on Grant Park Summer Shade Festival’s two stages, the Boulevard Stage and the Cherokee Stage. Featuring a diverse lineup for all tastes, 2017 artists include Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, Blair Crimmins, Grant Green, Jr., Michelle Malone, James Hall & The Steady Wicked, Front Porch Session Players, and the Matt Wauchope Trio.

Presented by and benefiting the Grant Park Conservancy, the 2017 Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is open to all ages and free to attend. In addition to the impressive music lineup, this year’s festival will also have an expansive artist market, a Kids Zone, a 5K run, a diverse selection of local food trucks, Monday Night Brewing craft beer, Bold Rock Cider, and Frida Kahlo Tequila and Status Vodka cocktails and more. Additionally, tickets are now available for the exclusive Beacon Atlanta VIP Lounge. Attendees are invited to relax in a private pavilion, and enjoy complimentary food from Love, Eat, Local and premium wines, Monday Night Brewing craft beer, and the Signature Summer Shade Cocktail. Southern Wing Showdown 2017

About: Springer Mountain Farms Southern Wing Showdown (SWS) Produced by Taste of Atlanta is back for its second year and plans to bring the heat. On Sun., Aug. 20 from 1-5 p.m., The Foundry at Puritan Mill will host the sizzling event for wing enthusiasts where 25 of the hottest chefs from Atlanta, Savannah, and Charleston to name a few, will debut their most enticing wing recipe. The second annual event promises to be a sensory experience that blends live music, lawn games, wings and spirits for a clucking good time. Known as the ultimate party food, this year’s wings will take center stage, ranging from sweet and mild to fiery hot. Between tasting stops at each station, wing aficionados can play corn hole, snap a photo in the Smilebooth and chow down in a wing-eating contest. Attendees become judges when they cast a vote for the festival’s finest wings, awarding one lucky participating chef with the “Best of Fest” traveling trophy. Reigning champion, Zach Schultz of Savannah’s Cotton & Rye, will make his second festival appearance in hopes of clenching the title once more. Tickets run $30 to $65.

1st Annual Taco Crawl Atlanta

About: It’s the First Annual Taco Crawl. Yes that is right! On Saturday, August 19th from 12 pm to 6 pm, come stroll throughout the heart of Midtown eating tacos, checking out new bars, enjoying drink specials, and making hundreds of new friends. Tickets run $30 to $35 and include 4 complimentary taco tickets, exclusive drink specials at every stop, crawl map, additional taco specials, giveaways, and more to come! You will also be provided a voting card for the best tasting taco and most unique taco at the last bar. Participating bars include Zocalo, Escorpion, Taco Mac, Joe’s on Juniper, and tons more.
