Georgia Renaissance Festival Last Huzzah Weekend

Date:  Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th
Time: 10:30am

About: Starting on Saturday, June 4th, The Georgia Renaissance Festival starts it’s Last Huzzah Weekend! It’s the last weekend to enjoy fried meat on a stick, a cool drink, and some exciting Jousting, not to mention some comic relief. We went last weekend and some of the highlights include the Splatter Time Players Mud Show, Wheel of Death, O’Tuber Brothers,Washing Well Wenches, and so many other acts. Let us start off with Splatter Time Players Mud Show, two young gentlemen, who find humor in jumping into a mud pit for laughs from the crowd. Yuck. What did we like? They spoofed “Dirty Dancing” and literally did the “I Had The Time of My Life” dance crescendo-ing into into the “lift” – did we mention the guy playing Baby had a blonde wig on? When it came to Irish ditties, O’Tuber Brothers did a few Irish songs, but the best was, “Whisky In the Jar.” Thanks, Metallica. We also heard them perform “Mary Mac” but as people gave them a dollar, they’d go faster and faster. It was ridiculously funny how fast they had to go. Final thought: we wonder, what do they do with the area on the off-season? Hm. For adults, tickets are $19 online, $22 at the gate.
