PUTTSHACK ATLANTA & DUNWOODY GIVE BACK TO LOCAL COMMUNITY THIS BACK-TO-SCHOOL SEASON

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 8/21/25

Puttshack and Back 2 School America are teaming up to make a meaningful impact in the lives of underserved students.

For every $30 donated, one fully stocked Back 2 School Kit will be assembled and donated to a child in need. These kits are more than just supplies—they are a powerful step toward academic success and self-confidence for students who may otherwise start the school year without the essentials.

To make this partnership even more special, every kit distributed through this initiative will feature a custom Puttshack-branded sticker. This is a small but powerful reminder to each recipient that their community cares about them.

And we’re not stopping there!

In August, Back 2 School America staff will visit Puttshack’s Chicago Headquarters for a special Lunch-n-Learn session. During this hands-on volunteer opportunity, Puttshack team members will write Notes of Inspiration —uplifting, handwritten messages that will be placed inside each donated kit. These heartfelt cards are often a favorite part of the kits for the kids who receive them, offering

encouragement, kindness, and a personal touch.

Together, we’re making a real difference— one donation, one kit, and one note at a time.

Back 2 School America (B2SA) launched in 2007 to

address the inequities in educational opportunities

for children first in Illinois, and now across the

country. Its mission is to provide school supplies and

other tools throughout the year to ensure the

educational success of children in need.

In an effort to level the playing field and reduce the

financial burden on families and teachers, the B2SA

Our hands-on activities foster collaboration, communication, and a sense of accomplishment as teams work toward a common goal. It’s not just about assembling supplies; it’s about building connections, strengthening teamwork, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of teachers and their students.

www.b2sa.org 844.FUN.B2Sa program has supplied more than 400,000 children with their own school supply kits, distributing over 12 million supplies to those who need them most.
