Metro Atlanta’s First Music Festival of 2021 Kicks Off This Weekend

Lost Art Music Festival on June 11-12 at Foxhall Resort in Douglasville

Nationally-touring artists include St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Shovels & Rope,
 The War And Treaty, Ben Nichols of Lucero, Aaron Lee Tasjan, The Pink Stones, The Sundogs

Music festivals are back for Atlanta with Lost Art Music Festival Presented by Cathead Distillery on June 11-12, 2021. As we emerge from the pandemic, the area’s first music festival of 2021 with nationally-touring artists takes place at the spacious Foxhall Resort in Douglasville, just 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta.

Lost Art celebrates the Americana fan community through high energy performances and immersive experiences in a spacious, outdoor setting.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Shovels & Rope, The War And Treaty, Ben Nichols of Lucero, and The Pink Stones round out the eclectic and diverse lineup of Americana acts, which blend elements of Southern soul, folk, alt-country, cosmic country, and more.

Aaron Lee Tasjan performs a Friday night kickoff show on June 11. Late night Saturday, The Sundogs Present The Tom Petty Show. Tasjan and The Sundogs shows are available as separate, standalone tickets.

Inner Circle Experiences, which connect artist and fans through shared, handpicked outings include a BBQ cookout and bocce ball/horseshoes tournament with St. Paul and The Broken Bones, ATV tour and short performance with The War and Treaty, and more. More info on the Lost Art website.

Tickets are on sale now. General admission tickets are priced at $69.25 (tax included), and VIP tickets are sold out. Both Aaron Lee Tasjan and The Sundogs shows are available as separate, standalone tickets.

THE BATTERY ATLANTA SLIDES INTO JUNE WITH MUST-ATTEND RESTAURANT AND RETAILER EVENTS

School’s out, and summer is in! With baseball season in full swing, The Battery Atlanta has rounded up special restaurant deals and outdoor activities for June. Brave Country can beat the heat and treat themselves to frozen daiquiris at Fat Tuesday, refreshing craft beers at Terrapin Taproom or fruity margaritas at El Super Pan. At the Plaza Green, locals can score fresh produce and artisanal goods at the Farmers Market presented by UnitedHealthcare on non-event Sundays or recharge at an outdoor yoga class on non-event Mondays. Parents can help their kids get in some early summer fun at Good Game powered by Topgolf Swing Suite while they socialize and dine from the restaurant’s diverse menu of elevated bar food and hand-crafted cocktails. Favorite local venues Coca-Cola Roxy and Park Bench offer an impressive roster of concerts this month for rock, jazz and country music fans.

Wellness Series: Yoga by Kaiser Permanente
Mondays (non-home gamedays) from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Start the week off stress-free with a limited capacity, outdoor yoga class presented by Kaiser Permanente on non-event days at the Plaza Green. Pre-registration and event participant waivers are available online. Participants are required to bring a mat and are encouraged to bring water. A live stream on Facebook and past sessions on YouTube are also available to fitness fans virtually on event days.

Cornhole ATL Summer League
Tuesdays from 6:45-9 p.m.
A tailgate favorite is now a league of its own! Spectators are encouraged to watch the action and cheer on league participants as they play games leading up to the summer season’s final tournament. League winners will receive a championship trophy and other prizes.

The Battery Atlanta Walking Trail presented by UnitedHealthcare
A brisk walk can curb cravings, reduce stress and offer a healthy way to catch up with friends and family! Get out and get active on the 1.5-mile loop circling the campus.

American Red Cross Blood Drives:
The American Red Cross is hosting a four-day blood drive at The Battery Atlanta! All presenting donors will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a chance to win special Atlanta Braves and American Red Cross giveaways, while supplies last.

Interested donors can visit redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or use the Blood Donor App with sponsor code ‘DeltaATL’ to schedule an appointment in advance. Free parking is available in the Delta Deck for donors and free 3-hour parking is available in the Red Deck.

Fourth Annual Tucktoberfest™: Tucker Brewing Company, a brewery located in Tucker, Ga., will host its fourth annual Tucktoberfest™ celebration where guests can enjoy German traditions mixed with Southern hospitality. During this European takeover, the beloved brewery and beer garden, recently named one of USA TODAY’s 10Best Beer Gardens in America, will be decked out in all things Oktoberfest, from authentic German attire for the staff to steins replacing all barware. Guests can expect to enjoy activities such as a classic stein holding competition, a wiener toss, cornhole, and more, along with live music.

Guests can enjoy authentic German fare from Executive Chef Nicole Fey and German-inspired brews, including the famous Tucktoberfest™ Märzen Lager from Head Brewmaster Tucker Eagleson. Featured last year were menu items including a German-style charcuterie board with Patak family bratwurst, knockwurst, and kielbasa, sweet potato pancakes, Tucktoberfest™ fries, a crispy pork shank, pretzel lobster roll, apple strudel cheesecake and more, and attendees can look forward to fresh new offerings at this year’s event.

The 11th annual Atlanta Summer Beer Fest will be held on Saturday, June 12th from 4-8pm at Historic 4th Ward Park. We will have over 150 beers, hard seltzers, as well as a selection of wine and some cider to choose from. ATLANTA’S CHEF INDIA TO HOST MULTI-COURSE POP-UP DINNER AT TWISTED SOUL COOKHOUSE

On Tuesday, May 25, Atlantans can savor a carefully curated pre-fix menu inspired by southern cuisine and classics from Trinidad and Tobago. 

“The Mangrove Experience” will take place at Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours in West Midtown (1133 Huff Road). 

One of the city’s most notable chefs, Chef India, has grown a loyal following who regularly attend her pop-ups at popular establishments like Clermont Hotel as well as events for brands like Martell Cognac and Patron. 

 

The six-course, pop-up dinner will include:

  • Pholourie Fritters, Cornbread, Pan-Fried Johnny Cakes

  • Honey Hot Sauce, Hot Pepper Sauce, Tamarind Sauce, Cucumber Chive Chutney

Chattahoochee Food Hall and iHeart Radio Atlanta have teamed up to present a fun-filled, daytime event on Saturday, June 5 from 11:00* am to 3:00 pm. The first Unofficial Summer Kick-Off for the newly opened food hall. Owned/Operated by Robert Montwaid, will feature partner Andrew Zimmern, Emmy- and four-time James Beard Award-winning TV personality and chef along with iHeart DJ Luis Toro, and a few new food hall culinarians: Philly G Steaks, LoRusso’s Italian Market, and Smoked Pearl — all offering a taste of whats to come this summer.

From July 15 through Sept. 6, fans can celebrate their favorite FRIENDS characters and revisit some of the series’ most iconic moments with this two-story enhanced experience created by Superfly X, Warner Bros. We will have over 50 wine varieties as well as a selection of beer, cider and White Claw to choose from.
