Event Will Feature Free & Ticketed Panel Discussions, Classes, Styling Sessions & More Covering Conscious Consumerism, Slow Fashion & Sustainability

COCO + MISCHA, Atlanta’s vintage and slow fashion clothing, handmade accessories and home decor shop located at Ponce City Market, announces tickets are now on sale for the 2019 Slow Fashion Symposium. Held Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6 at Ponce City Market, the second annual, multi-day community gathering is designed to inspire, encourage and educate about the merits of slow fashion and sustainability advocacy. The symposium is being curated by Melissa Gallagher, an expert in slow fashion and owner of COCO + MISCHA.

Standard and VIP ticket options are now available online, including an early bird ticket option while supplies last. In an effort to make the symposium accessible to all, free events will also be featured throughout the weekend. Speakers will include the below, with more to come:

Where It Begins – For anyone who’s refining their path and defining their style, this discussion will cover how shoppers can begin building a wardrobe to withstand the test of time and passing of trends, no matter their budget, as well as how to navigate gaps in a wardrobe and when to splurge or save.

Progressive Pop-Up Party – This free event will invite attendees to meet sustainable designers popping up throughout Ponce City Market, shop sample sales and try on brands typically available online only.

Panel Discussion: Sustainability = Inclusivity – An engaging discussion about embracing all sizes, races and budgets to achieve a truly sustainable initiative.

In Good Company Market – Citizen Supply, the curated, artisan shop located inside Ponce City Market, will present a marketplace of handmade, vintage and local small businesses. The free event will be located at the Shed on the BeltLine with easy access for attendees to visit between panel discussions.

Q&A with author Elizabeth L. Cline – Attendees can join a ticketed discussion with author Elizabeth L. Cline about her new book The Conscious Closet and her journey to conscious consumerism, such as tackling a wardrobe overhaul in a sustainable way. Coffee and breakfast will be provided.
