This will be the 6th year in a row they cram 4000+ maniacs on to the hills of Park Tavern for a day of pure mayhem.  Music includes our DJ friends DJ Mynd, DJ Madflip, and many more. There will also be a twerk and wet t-shirt contest, Easter Egg hunt, and a doughnut eating contest. Don’t miss out on all the green shenanigans and dress in your leprechaun best. Atlanta, Georgia (March 1, 2016) – For the past twelve years, thousands of music and food loving festivalgoers gather annually at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park to celebrate the Oyster Crawfish Festival. For the 13th installment on Saturday, March 26, 2016, Park Tavern will once again serve up approximately ten thousand pounds of fresh Louisiana crawfish that are brought in the night before – making it Atlanta’s biggest crawfish festival. Conveniently located on the Atlanta BeltLine, Park Tavern will also serve fresh, regional fried, raw, and steamed oysters, delicious fried oyster, shrimp and chicken baskets, Abita brews, Bacardi cocktails and more.
Featuring live music performances throughout the day, the music starts at 2 p.m. with a foot stomping set from Tray Dahl & The Jugtime Ragband. Then, Wasted Potential Brass Brand, known for its New Orleans standards, sarcastic pop, blues, funk and hip hop, will get the crowd going before Athens-based Kick the Robot warms up the stage for the one-only Cowboy Mouth. The hard-hitting band out of New Orleans will once again fill the headliner spot for the annual spring festival, serving up fans their unique style of ‘rock and roll gumbo’ and an unparalleled high energy performance that promises to be unforgettable.
The festival begins at 1:30 p.m. Ages 21 and under are allowed to attend the event when accompanied by a parent. Children 12 and under will not be charged admission.
