DISTILLERY OF MODERN ART CONTINUES TOP SHELF COMEDY SERIES
Stand-Up Comedy Show Serving Up Laughs, Cocktails, Art and More
Thursday, January 19, 2023 From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
– As we enter in to a new year, Distillery of Modern Art continues its Top Shelf Comedy series, a monthly stand-up show featuring the best of Atlanta’s comedians. On Thursday, January 19th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m, host Amy Brown and comedians Amanda Marks, Carlette Jennings and Paul Ollinger will deliver a healthy serving of non stop laughs. Seating is first come, first served, so guests are encouraged to arrive early to grab a craft cocktail and mingle with fellow comedy lovers. Beyond the signature drinks made with in-house spirits, mocktails from Distillery of Modern Art’s zero-proof menu are available for guests as well as snacks, cheese, charcuterie and sweets from The Spotted Trotter. Tickets for Top Shelf Comedy are available for $20 for ages 21 and up. VALENTINE’S DAY CALLIGRAPHY CLASS

Make this Valentine’s Day extra special and gift a hand written love letter. Come alone to learn how to write a letter in modern calligraphy or bring your lover with you as a cute Valentine’s Day activity.
In this class, you’ll learn the basic process of building letters in modern styles with guides, worksheets, and instruction. You’ll also receive a beginner kit of calligraphy materials including a pen holder, nibs, ink, and of course paper. During the last portion of class I’ll walk you through creating a layout for your letter and how to apply the skills you learned to a final piece.
No prior calligraphy experience is necessary. We’ll be covering how to use the materials as well as how to build letters, write words, and layout a final piece of calligraphy.
