2ND ANNUAL BIG HUGE TINY HOUSE EVENT

Free 2-Day Event Will Include Tiny House Tours, Speaker Series, Sustainable Village, Tours of the FLATS at PCM & More

The “Big Huge Tiny House” event returns to Ponce City Market (675 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE) this month to offer visitors an educational, hands-on experience with a focus on sustainable, micro living. Free and open to the public, the two-day event will take place on Saturday, August 26th and Sunday, August 27th from 10 am to 6 pm. Tiny House Atlanta is a Georgia non-profit dedicated to building walkable, sustainable “micro-hood” communities and educating individuals, groups, and cities about the positive impacts of micro living.

Four tiny houses from Shelter Supply, MicroLife Institute, Tiny House Atlanta, and Free Range Tiny Homes will be set up on Ponce City Market’s South Lawn facing North Avenue for visitors to tour and experience eco-friendly, smaller space living. Homes will be decorated by Ponce City Market shops including Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, Sugarboo & Co., and Citizen Supply, an artisan marketplace on the 2nd floor of the Central Food Hall.

The event will also feature a Sustainable Village in the South Lawn and parking lot with like-minded businesses and organizations, including Habitat for Humanity Dekalb, EarthShare Georgia, Global Growers, Mitsubishi Electric, Hannah Solar, LifeCycle Building Center, CHARM, Grounds for Empowerment, and more. Summertime treats from King of Pops and Honeysuckle Gelato will be available for purchase.

The event also welcomes two notable speakers who will host free sessions on sustainable living topics, as well as tours of the FLATS at Ponce City Market, which promote green and healthy living. Find more details about the schedule below:
