Grand Opening Event Held in Collaboration with NFL Hall of Fame Players

Elevated Gastropub to Offer Elevated Beer Program & Craveworthy American Fare

City Tap, the much-anticipated, elevated American gastropub located in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood at 848 Peachtree Street NE, will celebrate its grand opening on Sunday, February 3rd. That night, they will host a Super 53 watch party in collaboration with NFL Hall of Fame Players. To mix, mingle and talk football with guests throughout the game, Pro Football Hall of Famers including James Lofton, Andre Reed, Jack Youngblood, and Bobby Bell and NFL Legends including William Henderson will be in attendance.

At Midtown’s new premiere game watch location, doors will open for a la carte food and drink at 3pm on Sunday, February 3rd, and the grand opening party will begin at 4:30pm. Guests can reserve tickets by emailing info.atlanta@citytap.com, priced at $150 including an open beer and wine bar, soft drinks, all-you-can-eat game-day favorites like sliders, nachos, crab and corn hushpuppies, wood-fired pizza, and more. During the night, attendees can watch the game, discuss plays, and take photos with Gridiron Legends for a once in a lifetime experience. Complimentary valet will also be available for ticketed guests.

When City Tap opens next month, Executive Chef Greg Gettles will oversee the kitchen and serve a food menu of inventive and craveworthy dishes such as Elote “Street Corn” Dip with jalapeño, chili powder, cotija, cilantro, and chips; Ten-Spice Wings with blue cheese ranch and crisp vegetables; and Honey & Goat Cheese Wood-Fired Pizza with sliced red onion, pistachio pesto, rosemary, and truffle honey. Those dishes pair with City Tap’s extensive beer list, featuring many picks from local breweries like Monday Night Brewing, Orpheus Brewing, Wild Heaven Beer, SweetWater Brewery, and New Realm Brewing, alongside international offerings.

City Tap’s location in Midtown includes 10,000 square feet of restaurant space with a covered patio, an expansive mezzanine with a full bar and two private dining spaces, and first-floor dining with seating for over 100. The design draws inspiration from City Tap’s signature aesthetic, with a mix of rustic and industrial elements including iron framework, reclaimed wood, and copper and stone bars. Alongside the front of the restaurant is a brick patio featuring a firepit and lounge-style seating, and around the corner, a double-sided bar opens to the interior on one side and onto a long patio for al fresco dining.

Featuring Light Bites & Craft Cocktails Served Alongside the Shop’s Collection of Curated Makerspaces

Food & Drink Menus from Chef Jason Jimenez & Beverage Director Ben Richardson

Likewise, a new in-store eatery and bar inside Citizen Supply at Ponce City Market, will open on January 25th. Housed on the second floor of the Central Food Hall in the center of Citizen Supply’s lively space, the restaurant concept will serve as an approachable and elevated hang-out place, where patrons can dine and drink while perusing the shop’s curated collection of rotating makerspaces.

In celebration of Likewise’s opening, the eatery will host a special grand opening party on Friday, January 25th from 7-11 p.m. During the event, guests can enjoy live music from DJ Esme beginning at 8 p.m., dishes and drinks for purchase from Likewise’s newly launched food menu of nostalgic Southern classics, in-store raffles featuring Citizen Supply gift cards and more.

Likewise will feature a selection of seasonally driven light bites and shareable plates developed by Chef Jason Jimenez of Kitchen Six and Homespun. The menu will offer approachable, well-executed dishes recalling nostalgic Southern classics, such as Pimento Grilled Cheese, featuring house-made aioli and B&B pickles served on multi-grain bread; Butternut Squash Hummus, made with pomegranate and cilantro gremolata, crudite and pita; spicy chili caramel popcorn and more.

“We’re looking forward to adding a new element to the Citizen Supply space where guests can experience this unique environment and hang out over great food and drinks,” says Jimenez. “Citizen Supply is already known for curating great local and global brands, and we’re excited to further this through our intentionally sourced menu.”

An impressive beverage program of classic and creative craft cocktails from Beverage Director Ben Richardson will round out the menu with signature drinks like Cats and Dogs, a fizzy libation of vodka, aperitivo, grapefruit and soda; Eastwood, which includes bourbon, vermouth, sherry and amaro and Mojo, an aged rum cocktail with sparkling brachetto, fresh lime and mint.

Designed by Grace-Made’s Savannah Metcalf, the intimate in-store space offers a plush, 25-seat communal lounge area to accompany the eatery’s expansive open bar, which accommodates up to 20 additional guests.

Headed up by Atlanta-based creative entrepreneur Phil Sanders, Citizen Supply is a reimagined take on a curated and artisan marketplace that first opened at the mixed-use community hub in November 2015. Beloved for its rotating collection of makerspaces, the store bridges the gap between artists, small brands, makers and consumers by redefining traditional retail and providing their community, friends and customers with a unique shopping experience.
