PONCE CITY MARKET HOSTS SPALDING NIX FINE ART POP-UP

Ponce City Market, the mixed-use community hub in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, has teamed up with Spalding Nix Fine Art to host a photography pop-up gallery this month featuring works from renowned artists Landon Nordeman, Spencer Sloan and Jerry Siegel. Curated by local art expert and gallerist Spalding Nix of Spalding Nix Fine Art, the pop-up will be open through the end of March, and is located between Ponce Denim Company and COCO + MISCHA.
Looking for the eternal in the ephemeral, NYC-based Landon Nordeman is one of the world’s most sought-after fashion photographers. He has photographed events from the Oscars to the Met Gala, and his images have been featured in Vanity Fair, The New York Times, The New Yorker, National Geographic and many more. Though his photographs often appear staged, Nordeman pulls back the curtains to give viewers a look into backstage scenes where his subjects are shown in candid moments that are surreal and even surprising. His first monograph, “Out of Fashion,” was published by Damiani in 2016 and was named one of the best photo books of 2016 by TIME.

RAY’S AT KILLER CREEK KICKS OFF ROSE FRI-YAYS MARCH 15TH

Some call it the “pretty in pink” movement, but the Ray’s at Killer Creek team believes sipping an aromatic glass or two of rosé is a lifestyle, one they’re eager to help guests embrace every Friday in spring, starting March 15. To ensure the sipping is sensational, they’ll be popping the cork on Whispering Angel and Fleur de Mer, two flavorful rosé wines. Whispering Angel, credited with starting the international rosé trend, also is the world’s most popular rosé. Representatives from Whispering Angel will be on hand Friday, March 15 to help guests get their pink on. No tickets are needed to attend the 5-8 p.m. event to be held throughout spring on the Creek Terrace. Drink specials will range from $5 – $12. Executive chef Mike Fuller will be offering tasty bites that pair perfectly with the wines’ intensely fragrant notes. Both food and wine will be accompanied by live music that will help set just the right rhythm for the weekend ahead.

Culture Drivers with INFINITI & UrbanDaddy Event Recap

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019 hundreds of Atlantans descended upon The Stave Room at American Spirit Works for Culture Drivers, an exclusive event hosted by UrbanDaddy and INFINITI. An evening stimulating each of the senses, art, culture, food, cocktails and automotive excellence joined together during the private affair where culinary innovations by celebrity chef Roblé Ali took center stage. With entertainment in every corner, guests enjoyed a premium open bar, chef-driven food activation stations, an on-site DJ spinning top tracks, along with additional live music and hip-hop dance performances.
What stuck out at this year’s Culture Drivers was the remarkable food: the best was the salt encrusted salmon. It was slightly salty from the salt outside, but extremely tender and flaky on the inside. What a great bite! Plus, we got to break the salt with a mallet! The leg of lamb, onion rings, pretzel bites, and all of the food was dynamite. They always put on a good party!
