TASTE OF THE FOURTH 2018

The Taste of the Fourth, a favorite neighborhood event, returns for the 9th year. Local restaurants will once again compete for the O4W People’s Choice Award and, of course, bragging rights. Experience delicious tastes from ~10 local O4W restaurants. Enjoy our signature cocktail from O4W Distillery, a cold beer from New Realm Brewery, or a glass of wine from City Winery. Gather with friends, new and old, for an amazing night of food, drinks, and music. All while supporting a good cause!

REVOLUTIONARY WINE EVENT FOR MILLENNIALS WINE RIOT COMING TO ATLANTA

With two-parts education and one-part revolution, Wine Riot has reinvented “wine tasting” for the Millennial consumer through its entertaining and interactive wine events and is pleased to announce its 2018 schedule, which will include the addition of Atlanta and Austin to its multi-city schedule. Designed for the thirsty and curious Millennial consumer, Wine Riot aims to change the often-intimidating nature of wine and wine tasting into an entertaining and educational experience, while also helping wine brands connect with this important consumer segment. Each Wine Riot event taps into the Millennial consumer’s sense of adventure and desire to try new things by providing opportunities to interact with wines from around the globe.

Piedmont Parks Art Festival 2018

The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces is thrilled to announce the return of the Piedmont Park Arts Festival on Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19, 2018. With an emphasis on the visual arts and family fun, the ninth annual event will once again be held in Piedmont Park, one of the most respected and beautiful public parks in the City of Atlanta. This year’s two-day event will feature 250 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalwork artisans, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters. Festival-goers are also invited to enjoy artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, an expansive artist market, children’s play area, festival foods and beverages, games and much more. Free to the public, the event is open to all ages and pets are welcome.

Georgia Beer Fortnight 2018 All Events

1. Starting August 18th and running through Saturday, September 1st the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild brings you Beer Fortnight. It’s 15 days and nights of Georgia local beer, all while traveling all over Georgia to celebrate with all the beer lovers out there. From Atlanta, Westside, North, Northeast, over to Athens, and down to Savannah, there are tons of events you can get into, like the Wrecking Bar kick-off, bottle releases, special batches, tap takeovers, and everything in between. Most of these events are free, so check out all the events on Facebook and see you there!

JOIN THE GRANT PARK CONSERVANCY FOR A BIRTHDAY BASH AND AUCTION CELEBRATING THE PARK’S 135TH ANNIVERSARY

It’s time to celebrate Atlanta’s oldest park, because on Friday, August 24th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the Grant Park Conservancy is hosting the official 135th birthday bash in honor of Grant Park. Kicking off the festivities before the 16th annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival set for Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th, the high-energy party hosted by The Beacon Atlanta will feature cocktails, delicious bites, a DJ and dynamic silent auction boasting an array of items including sports paraphernalia, getaways, tasting experiences, and much more. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Grant Park Conservancy, a non-profit, membership-based organization with a mission of protecting, enhancing and preserving the park while planning for its future needs and uses. Tickets are on sale now starting at $35.
