GRANT PARK SUMMER SHADE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES DATES FOR 15TH ANNUAL EVENT THIS AUGUST 2017

Raising approximately 87 thousand dollars for the Grant Park Conservancy at the 2016 event, the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival will once again welcome music and art lovers to Atlanta’s oldest park for two days of nonstop fun on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, 2017. Presented by and benefiting the Grant Park Conservancy, the festival will once again feature an impressive lineup of live music throughout the weekend on two stages in addition to an expansive artist market, Kids Zone, 5K run, and a dedicated VIP area. Open to all ages and free to attend, the 15th annual Summer Shade Festival will also have a diverse selection of local food trucks with offerings for all tastes, Monday Night Brewing craft beer, Bold Rock Cider, and Frida Khalo Tequila and Status Vodka cocktails and more.

Atlanta’s favorite fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant, Bezoria is the new hangout for Atlanta United FC fans! On game days through August, fans can bring in their Atlanta United ticket stubs on the day of a home game and get 10% off the entire menu. This includes Bezoria’s famous house-cut fries, freshly baked pita bread, baklava and steak shawarma at both the Midtown and Alpharetta locations. BISTRO 217 WINS PNC BEST OF THE FEST AT THIS YEAR’S ATLANTA FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL

The seventh annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is pleased to announce 2017 South Carolina Ambassador Chef Adam Kirby as this year’s winner of the PNC Best of the Fest competition. Kirby who is the Executive Chef and Owner of Bistro 217 and Rustic Table in Pawleys Island, SC delighted Festival-goers with shrimp and grits featuring South Carolina Bulls Bay jumbo white shrimp served over iron skillet cream corn grits and Adluh Grits from Columbia, SC. Each ingredient was sourced from South Carolina and North Carolina, including Lee’s Market silver queen corn grown in Aynor, SC and okra and tomato from Inlet Culinary Garden in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Brookhaven Beer Fest 2017

Summer’s here and so is the beer! Join us for the 7th Annual Brookhaven Beer Festival, one of Atlanta’s largest and most popular beer tasting events featuring tastings of 200 beers and wines, as well as food from local restaurants and Atlanta’s best food trucks. This year the festival is held at a new location in Brookhaven Park off Peachtree Road at Osborne. Tickets include beer and wine tastings, plus tasting cup and live music from The Velvet Stones and Taste. Ticket are $40.

Tunes from the Tombs 2017

On Saturday, June 10th, Tunes from the Tombs, Historic Oakland Cemetery’s annual summer music festival brings some of Atlanta’s favorite bands to the city’s most unique performance venue. Rock in Peace with cold drinks, the hottest food trucks, kid’s activities, and much more. All proceeds from Tunes from the Tombs benefit Historic Oakland Foundation’s mission to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery. Tickets are $15.
