SHIRLEY VALENTINE: A COMEDY BY WILLY RUSSELL FEATURING MANDY FASON

Shirley Valentine is a one woman show. Inside Mrs. Joe Bradshaw, a 42 year-old mother of two grown children… is the former Shirley Valentine longing to get out. Her hope and self-confidence badly shattered by school, marriage, and life, she is reduced to talking to the kitchen wall whilst preparing her husband’s evening meal. As she sips a glass of wine she dreams of drinking in a country where the grape is grown. Her feminist friend offers her a holiday in Greece and, with great trepidation and a lot of forward planning, Shirley seizes the opportunity. Shirley, breaking out of the mold cast for her by society, is brilliantly shown with humor, warm sympathy and human insight by the author of Educating Rita and Blood Brothers. Featuring Mandy Fason. Directed by and Production Design by Tony Smithey. Presented by City of the South Theatricals and The Vineyard Cafe Dinner Theatre. For more info give us a call at 678-581-3771 or go to thevineyardcafe.com and click on the dinner theatre link. Tickets are $40 for buffet style dinner and show. The buffet style dinner will consist of a garden salad, a choice of two entrees, two veggies, rolls, beverage and dessert. The menu will vary for each show in our season. Wine and Beer will be sold separately. Seating is limited so tickets will need to be purchased in advance and can be up to three days before the show date. We can take credit card information in person or over the phone and will email you a confirmation and receipt.
