9th Annual Doggies on the Catwalk Returns Saturday, June 4th, 2016

 Atlanta, Georgia (April 28, 2016) – Doggies on the Catwalk and its philanthropic founder, E. Vincent Martinez of fashionado, are once again set to present an unforgettable evening of fashion, cocktails, bites, and four-legged friends – all for a great cause. On Saturday, June 4, 2016, beginning at 7 p.m., the ninth annual event will descend upon the stylish streets of The Shops Buckhead Atlanta where some of the cities’ most notable personalities will don the latest trends with loving pups in tow.  Benefiting Canine Assistants, who provides service dogs to assist children and adults with physical disabilities or other special needs with tasks such as turning lights on and off, opening and closing doors, pulling wheelchairs, retrieving dropped objects, summoning help, and providing secure companionship.  Tickets are available now for purchase beginning at $50 at www.fashionado.net/doggiesonthecatwalk.

Emceed by Monica Pearson, Martinez has paired stylish, celebrity humans glammed up in NARS cosmetics and designer looks by Alice+Olivia, AKRIS, Theory, Les Copains, Theory and Planet Blue with gorgeous “off duty” service dogs and a few Canine Assistants puppies in training!  Guests are also invited to enjoy a tasting of light bites from Dolce Italian from 7 to 8 p.m., an impressive silent auction, a special guest DJ, and outdoor lounge.  Doggies on the Catwalk is excited to welcome Porsche Cars North America to our furry family as a sponsor so you can “prowl around” the latest model Porsche as you await the start of the show.

Back by popular demand, VIP front row seating at Le Bilboquet will be available for avid animal lovers and fashion mavens alike.  The popular upscale, cafe and white-tablecloth restaurant featuring traditional French cuisine will offer limited front row patio seating from 7 to 9 p.m. starting at $150 per person. With a portion of the proceeds benefiting Canine Assistants, you’ll be treated to complimentary champagne cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, with the option to order dinner and cocktails from the main menu a la carte.  Additional seating has been added to ensure everyone has the best view.  Reservations and payment for VIP seating can be confirmed directly through the restaurant at 404-869-9944 or by emailing ilona@lebilboquetatlanta.com. Inaugural Atlanta Taco Festival

Date:  Sunday, May 1st
Time: 1pm

About: On Sunday, May 1st, The 1st Atlanta Taco Festival will take place at Candler Park from 1pm until 7pm. This is the largest taco competition and taco celebration on the East Coast. There will be local bands, Gringo Bingo, Salsa Dancing, Lucha Libre Wrestling and huge bar experiences by some of your favorite local establishments. Restaurants include Pure, Tin Lizzy’s, El Myriachi, Superica, and so much more. A donation will be made to CHRIS Kids with proceeds from the festival. CHRIS Kids has a mission to heal children, strengthen families and build community. CHRIS is an acronym that stands for our core values: Creativity, Honor, Respect, Integrity, and Safety. Yacht Rock Revue Performs Purple Rain at Legacy Fountain

Date:  Friday, April 29th
Time: Gates 6:30pm & Music 7:30pm

About:  Prince tribute alert! On Friday, April 29th, Yacht Rock Revue is bringing Prince’s Purple Rain back to Piedmont Park. The concert will take place at the beautiful Legacy Fountain on April 29th (not at Park Tavern). The concert area will be protected by a Garden Tent. People may bring blankets to sit on however, no chairs or coolers will be allowed in the concert area. The Nectar food truck will be on site, and the Park Tavern will have plenty of beverage options to quench your thirst. Gates open at 6:30pm and music starts at 7:30pm. General Admission tickets are $20. VIP tickets include seating and are $50. Proceeds go to benefit the Piedmont Park Conservancy Green Market.
