About: To be held on Saturday, August 29th from 3pm to 8pm at Candler Park, the 1st Annual Cork Pullers Beer, Wine and Spirits Festival brought to you by Ignition Events is unique in because it features all types of beverages: wine, spirits, and beer. Ticket holders will get a souvenir 6oz sample cup and allowed to sample any of the attending craft breweries, distilleries, and wineries. Entertainment will play on several stages throughout the park and include several genres for all music lovers. Full music and entertainment line up includes The Halem Albright Band and Hot Sauce & Honey. Food trucks and vendors from local restaurants will be available for purchase. Advanced tickets are $45 until August 29th. If available, tickets are $55 at the door.

Atlanta Meatball Festival

About: Meatballs, meatballs, meatballs! Get ready Atlanta for the 2nd Annual Atlanta Meatball Festival showcasing the world’s most beloved beef-pork-lamb-chicken (and sometimes seafood!) combos. Join us as Atlanta’s favorite restaurants will prepare a wide selection of mouthwatering meatball dishes in this “battle of the balls” competition under the big top tents Sunday, August 30 from 1-5pm in Sandy Springs at the Belle Isle Square parking area next door to Cibo E Beve. Produced by TasteATL and hosted by Chef Linda Harrell, the event will benefit Second Helpings Atlanta. There are also some serious bragging rights up for grabs. As a true “battle of the balls” challenge, each dish will be voted on by judges and attendees to see who has Atlanta’s mightiest meatball. Once the votes are cast, the top three winners will advance and go head-to-head in a Meat Brawl Throwdown at Taste of Atlanta. In addition to the wide selection of meatball dishes, wine and beer (available for purchase), this festival will spice things up with sweet treats, limoncello tastings, music by DJ MadFlip. Atlanta, Georgia (August 20, 2015) – Head to The Cockentrice on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 3 to 5 p.m. for an afternoon of Cheese, Bourbon and Jazz.  Hosted by Certified Cheese Professionals and self-proclaimed jazz lovers Hannah Thompson and Tim Gaddis, the two-hour, jazz-infused class will feature a welcome cocktail and 12 cheese and bourbon pairings. Attendees will also leave with a CD of the jazz music featured throughout the class, a pairing guide, and a greater understanding of how food and music influence each other.
