RIVAL ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS BIG NIGHT OUT FEAT. LAKE STREET DIVE & MARVELOUS 3

Hosted at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark, the Event is Part of a Series of Concerts Under the Stars in Public Spaces

Call off your dogs and grab your freak of the week because Big Night Out is back as a two-part story featuring Lake Street Dive and Marvelous 3, October 03 and 04 at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark. Presented by Atlanta festival producer Rival Entertainment, Big Night Out is a series of concerts under the stars in public places, which has included last year’s An Evening with CAKE, Big Boi, Futurebirds, Marcus King Trio, Moon Taxi, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and others. 

Lake Street Dive, the genre-blending band with a sound described as “if the Beatles and Motown had a party,” will get the party started- headling night one. Hometown heroes Marvelous 3, who have recently enjoyed a resurgence and have recently played three sold-out nights at The Tabernacle to celebrate their 25th anniversary, will close out the festivities on night two. Additional details, including special guests, will be released soon.

Located at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark on the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail, which hosted last year’s near-capacity crowd, organizers are encouraging fans to take advantage of the proximity of the venue to several landmarks such as Inman Park (.3 miles), Ponce City Market (.5 miles), Krog Market (.6 miles), and Piedmont Park (1.2 miles). While the event will be walkable for many, there will also be a complimentary bicycle valet, ride-share drop-off locations, and nearby parking.

General Admission and VIP ticket options for Big Night Out will go on sale Friday, May 16, through Rival Entertainment at Big Night Out. Lake Street Dive has partnered with PLUS1, donating $1 per ticket to First Peoples Fund and their work supporting artists and culture bearers helping Native communities heal and thrive, and the PLUS1 LA Fires Fund, providing critical relief and long-term recovery support for individuals, families, and communities impacted by the devastating LA wildfires.  Big Night Out is an all-ages event. Battle of the Bands Enters Round Two with Twelve Local Acts Vying for a Chance to Open SweetWater 420 Fest

Half-Day, Single-Day, Two-Day GA, Kush and Big Fish VIP Options On Sale

Presented by SweetWater Brewing, one of Atlanta’s anticipated festivals, SweetWater 420 Fest is two weeks out from its return April 20 and 21. Known for its eclectic lineup, as well as its charitable and environmental activations, food trucks, artist market, and, of course, beer from the largest craft brewer in the Southeast- this year’s lineup showcases artists of varying genres, from alternative to rock and pop to singer-songwriter, jam, soul, and an indie, with one slot left to fill. 

SweetWater 420 Fest recently announced it would be holding a fan-fueled Battle of the Bands contest where one lucky artist would win a chance to open up the event. After a period of open nominations, the competition is down to twelve acts from across the region that will go through three rounds of public voting. The top twelve artists include Basement Recess; Golden Habits; TasteBud; The Weekend Lovers; Aint Sisters; Are You Kind; Duncan Brothers Band; Strictly Liquid; Zyx; Koyal; Groove Moose, and The Outfield Clovers. From this, the top three will be chosen and have the opportunity to live stream an original track and cover song during the SweetWater 420 Fest live showcase on April 9th, after which voting will decide the ultimate winner.

Previously announced artists include headliners Beck and Slightly Stoopid, with support from Big Gigantic; Black Pumas; Gov’t Mule; Trombone Shorty; Cory Wong; Grace Potter; Moe.; St. Paul & The Broken Bones; Larkin Poe; Houndmouth; Ripe; Andy Frasco & The UN; Hayes & The Heathens; Little Stranger; Papadosio; Lespecial; Couch; Fireside Collective; The Psycodelics; Emily Wolfe; Bombargo; Hedonistas, and Connor Clark & Blue Rhythm Revival. Held on the weekend closest to Earth Day, this year’s event will be a true 420 Fest, beginning on April 20th at Pullman Yards. In addition to the music, the event will feature local vendors, workshops, regional and local food vendors offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, an artist market, bars, concessions, festival merch, water stations, and more. Last fall, the venue hosted the Highball festival experience, which USAToday rated as one of the Top 10 Best New music festivals in the country.

Atlanta, GA (September 29, 2022) –Uncorked Atlanta, the city’s premier wine tasting experience, is returning to Pullman Yards on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dive into over 50 varieties of wine and craft beer tastings along with live music, wine-themed activations, and much more.

With a branded sampling glass in hand, Uncorked attendees are invited to explore a diverse selection of wines, from whites to reds, chardonnay to cabernet; vino fans can stick to their signature favorites or try them all. In addition to wine, crisp craft beers and cocktails will be available to sip on or as a means to “cleanse the palate” throughout the day.

An Evening of

Wine, Whiskey, Tequila, and Bites

at The Village Dunwoody

Thursday, September 29, 6-10 pm

On Thursday, September 29, The Village at 5521 Chamblee Dunwoody Road will host Barrel & Bites, an elevated evening of bites from local hospitality owners plus music, wine, whiskey, and tequila, as well as a VIP hour. This ticketed event will be hosted by The Village owner, DASH Hospitality, and will take place throughout the expansive courtyard and parking lot. Each bite will be paired with a complementing wine, whiskey, or tequila cocktail. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to The Atlanta Community Food Bank. 

Barrels & Bites will be from 6-10 pm, with VIP ticket holders gaining exclusive entry at 6 pm, while General Admission ticket holders will gain entry at 7 pm.

VIP ticket holders will experience an exclusive whiskey tasting in addition to wine, whiskey, and tequila, plus one hour of passed bites at 6 pm compliments of Aussie Select, a commemorative gift upon exit, live music, and unlimited bites. ($120 per ticket +ticket fee, 21+ only)

General Admission ticket holders gain entry at 7 pm and will experience unlimited wine, whiskey, tequila, bites, and live music. ($85 per ticket + ticket fee, 21+ only)

“After the tremendous success of our first festival this past April, Green Eggs & Kegs, The Village team thought it would be enjoyable to host an evening event and highlight our incredible wine and whiskey vendors and our neighboring Dunwoody restaurant owners. We want to do as much as possible to bring our Dunwoody community together and support all the small, local business owners,” said David Abes, owner of Dash Hospitality Group and the newly opened The Village.
