We’ve got all the classic events like tug of war, relay races, obstacle courses, etc. – plus some crazy new games and some surprises throughout the day. Teams will earn points in each event to add up to your total for the day.

Will your team have what it takes to take home the King of the Field title? Grab some friends, start your team, and get ready for the most fun you’ll have in 2019! This event is brought to you by Atlanta Sport and Social Club.

Start recruiting your Co-Ed team of 8 now! Registration is open for corporate and co-ed groups, including individual tickets to join a team that day. Tickets run $56 for individual and up to $500 for a team. Link to more info: https://bit.ly/2RMbYQZ

What to expect during Field Day

Teams will compete in 8 competitions over the course of the day, consisting of (3) scheduled relays, and (5) scramble games events. The full game list and rules will be released the week of the event!

  • Each team will compete in (2) scheduled relay events. In these two events, your team score is ranked against every other team participating in the event.

  • We’ve teamed up with the Playworks Georgia for this year’s charity challenge! The more funds your team raises, the more points you earn towards your overall score!

2ND ANNUAL FIREWORKS IN THE FOURTH WARD

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 6/2/19

PONCE CITY MARKET & OLD FOURTH WARD BUSINESS ASSOCIATION TO HOST 2ND ANNUAL “FIREWORKS IN FOURTH WARD,” A FAMILY-FRIENDLY FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION

Free & Open to the Public, the Community Event Brings Together Fireworks, Family Fun, Food & Libations at
Historic Fourth Ward Park

Guests Can Also View the Fireworks Show from The Roof at Ponce City Market

In partnership with Old Fourth Ward Business Association, Ponce City Market is hosting the second annual “Fireworks in Fourth Ward” to celebrate the Fourth of July. Free and open to the public, the community event will be held across the street from Ponce City Market at Historic Fourth Ward Park from 5pm to 11pm.

Guests are invited to bring a picnic or enjoy bites from local vendors and food trucks, and King of Pops and Queen of Cream will also be serving frozen desserts. Local favorites including New Realm Brewing Company and Old Fourth Distillery will provide libations; wine, margaritas and a vodka punch will also be available for purchase (no outside alcohol is allowed). All beverage proceeds will directly benefit the Old Fourth Ward Business Association, whose mission is to create a safe and sustainable community environment for businesses and residents alike.

In the park, there will be live music from local Atlanta band Sucker Punch, covering hits from the 90’s and 00’s. Once the sun sets, the evening will culminate in a grand fireworks show, and DJ Q-Tip will be spinning a soundtrack coordinated with the display.

The Fourth of July fireworks show can also be seen from The Roof at Ponce City Market during their annual Fourth of July celebration. The kid-friendly event begins at 5pm and will have live entertainment, a DJ and activities for kids. There will be two ticket levels – VIP access and General Admission – for adults, and tickets for children will be offered at a lower price point. While space is available, guests can purchase walk-up tickets on July 4 for the evening fireworks show. Advance tickets will be available at www.poncecityroof.com.

Expected to draw several thousand people, attendees are encouraged to bike, walk or use a ride share service to travel to and from the event. Bike racks are located around the periphery at Historic Fourth Ward Park and at Ponce City Market, and pick-up points for Uber and Lyft users are available at Ponce City Market and adjacent to the park on the corner of Garden Park Drive and Rankin Street.

Ponce City Market restaurants and retail shops will be open during normal hours on July 4, from 10am to 9pm. Event sponsors include Ponce City Market, Skyline Park, Gas South, Atlanta Dream Center and Good2Grow.

Please note that no pets, scooters and bikes, drones, outside fireworks, weapons, grills or pop-up tents will be allowed inside the park during the event.

Get fired up as over 150 chefs, sommeliers and mixologists from Texas to the District of Columbia round out a robust lineup of talent for all to enjoy.

This year, the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is taking attendees Off the Eaten Path by spotlighting off-the-grid foodie destinations, rising culinary stars, and more.
