Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 10/13/25

Ray and Paul Drop Fading — A Bold New EP Blending Surf and Garage Rock, Available Now

Music Video For Title Track “Fading” is Out now

Ray and Paul are proud to share their brand-new EP, Fading, now streaming everywhere.

“These six songs reflect the past five years of our lives—love, heartbreak, sadness, doubt, confusion, and pain,” the duo says. “They’ve shaped who we are and changed how we see the world and our music. We’re so grateful to finally share this with you and excited for what’s ahead.”

Fading is a 6-track collection featuring the fan-favorite and top-streaming single “Pelican,” live staple “Blue,” three new tracks released earlier this year, and the title track “Fading.” The EP will also be available on limited edition vinyl.

Hailing from the SF Bay Area, brothers Ray and Paul started the band at just 17 and 13 years old. After building a loyal local following, they found their stride playing house shows in Isla Vista while attending school in Santa Barbara. Their signature surf-rock-meets-garage-rock sound shines on Fading, shaped by producer Jarvis Taveniere (Mild High Club, Surf Curse, Allah-Las) and three tracks produced by John Goodmanson (Weezer, Pavement, Nada Surf, Hockey Dad).

2025 has been a breakthrough year for Ray and Paul. They’ve performed at SXSW, Treefort Festival, and toured in support of The Moss and Sun Room. This fall, they’ll hit the road for a California headline tour in September, followed by a full U.S. tour in October supporting Australian band Dice. See all tour dates below.

Explore Gwinnett, the official tourism organization of Gwinnett County, is thrilled to announce its ninth annual ARTober Gwinnett, a monthlong celebration of the county’s arts, culture and community. This month, Gwinnett County will transform into a living gallery as local artists, performers and cultural organizations bring their talents to stages, streets and unexpected spaces across the community. This year’s 31 days of programming includes the return of the award-winning Not Your Mother’s Art Fest in Lawrenceville.

“ARTober is such a special time for Gwinnett because it gives residents and visitors the chance to experience our community’s creativity in so many unique ways,” said Madison Chucci, senior community development manager of Explore Gwinnett Tourism and Film.“After a successful inaugural celebration last year, we’re excited for Not Your Mother’s Art Fest to return and once again break the mold of the traditional art festival.”

Named the 2025 Best New Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Festivals & Events Association, Not Your Mother’s Art Fest will take place on Friday, October 10, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Slow Pour Brewing. The free, family-friendly festival celebrates nontraditional art styles and unconventional creativity through immersive installations, live performances, street art, hands-on workshops and interactive experiences. From cutting-edge contemporary works to fresh takes on classic forms, Not Your Mother’s Art Fest spotlights diverse voices and underrepresented artists who are redefining what art can be. Hosted in partnership with the City of Lawrenceville and Slow Pour Brewing, the celebration blends creativity with community spirit, complemented by local craft beer, food and an inclusive atmosphere.

In addition to Not Your Mother’s Art Fest, ARTober Gwinnett will feature a lineup of events showcasing the depth and diversity of the county’s creative community. From live theater and poetry slams to music festivals, chalk art, haunted tours and public art, each day offers a new way to connect with creativity. A full list of ARTober events is available here.

“Our 2025 ARTober will be the biggest and most exciting yet,” said Lisa Anders, chief operating officer of Explore Gwinnett Tourism and Film. “As we enter our ninth year celebrating and elevating Gwinnett’s arts and cultural spaces, we’re proud to continue adding new ways for residents and visitors to experience the people, places and stories that shape the county’s vibrant creative community.”

ARTober Gwinnett will also kick off the Gwinnett Creativity Fund (GCF) 2026 grant cycle. Now in its seventh year, the GCF aims to enhance the county’s diverse cultural landscape by providing financial support to local arts and educational organizations through operational and project-based grants. Applications are open through January 15, 2026.

AMORE E AMORE CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF FESTIVE TRADITIONS, UNFORGETTABLE DINNERS, AND ATLANTA LOVE STORIES

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 10/2/25

Marking 25 Years With a Citywide Call for Memories, Festive Surprises, and a Holiday Experience Like No Other

Amore e Amore has spent the last 25 years turning dinners into memories, traditions into celebrations, and Inman Park into the backdrop for countless Atlanta love stories. Known for its immersive pop-ups, wildly over-the-top décor, and the unmistakable magic created by Mama Gale and Professor Giovanni, the beloved ristorante now marks a milestone anniversary with a season of festive surprises, unforgettable dinners, and a citywide call for memories.

Beginning October 1, guests are invited to help mark the milestone by sharing their favorite memories, photos, videos, and stories from the past two and a half decades. Whether it’s a romantic moment over ravioli, a family holiday tradition, or a snapshot from one of the restaurant’s many immersive pop-ups, each submission is a chance to be part of the story. Select memories will be featured throughout the season, and several lucky participants will receive prizes, including dinner for two. For detailed information on how to submit memories, visit www.amoreeamore.com or follow @eatamoreatl on Instagram.

“Reaching 25 years is more than a milestone. It’s a reminder of every laugh, every love story, and every memory shared around our tables,” says Amore e Amore co-founder “Mama Gale” Parker. “From Il Localino to Amore e Amore, this has always been a place to celebrate life, family, and the joy that comes with simply being together. I’m beyond grateful we get to keep doing what we love and for our loyal guests, our incredible staff, and the Inman Park community that continues to embrace us.”

The official 25th anniversary celebration begins November 5 with the debut of a limited-time 25th Anniversary Prix Fixe Dinner available alongside the full à la carte menu through Christmas Eve. At $125 per person (excluding tax, gratuity and alcohol), guests can expect a multi-course experience filled with fan-favorite dishes, seasonal touches, and unexpected tableside delights, each one a toast to Amore’s past, present, and always-theatrical future.

In true Amore fashion, the restaurant itself will be completely transformed for the season. Every ceiling, surface, and chandelier will be draped in garlands, glittering trees, oversized ornaments, and festive flourishes as it evolves into a whimsical winter wonderland. Alongside the anniversary prix fixe menu, guests can sip holiday-themed cocktails, enjoy the full festive à la carte dinner offerings, and even meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy pop-up entertainers like balloon artists and face painters during select dates. Special holiday prix fixe menus, along with Dinner with Santa & Mrs. Claus dates, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Amore e Amore is open Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 5 p.m. Kids ages 12 and under are welcome to dine from open until 7:30 p.m. For more information or to make a reservation, visit www.amoreeamore.com or call 404-600-2176.
