THE FRENCH MARKET HEADS TO BUCKHEAD VILLIAGE THIS SEPTEMBER

Francophiles rejoice – the French Market is back and heading to Buckhead Village! On Saturday, September 9 from noon to 7pm, Buckhead Avenue will transform into a Parisian-inspired, open-air market bringing together regionally and locally-owned French and French-inspired businesses including Ade by Femi, Lisa’s Creperie, Maison B. Encore, Ché René Macaron, diptyque and Saint Germain Bakery & Cafe, all offering visitors the chance to stroll and shop curated selections of designer goods, art, home furnishings and French fare. This year’s festivities will also include live music, crafts and entertainment for all ages, including performances from The Bonaventure Quartet jazz band, Théâtre du Rêve and the Atlanta Petanque Club. 

The French Market is free and open to the public. A wristband will be required to purchase food & beverages from participating vendors – wristbands are now available online for $5 and will be available for $10 beginning September 5. Children 12 & under are not required to purchase a wristband. All event proceeds directly support the Alliance Française of Atlanta, a nonprofit whose mission is to promote the French language and francophone cultures through educational and cross-cultural programs. Businesses who are interested in becoming a market vendor can visit www.frenchmarketatl.com/vendors.

Welcoming spring with open arms, the flower fête of the season is back in Buckhead Village with the second annual show-stopping Bodacious Blooms Flower Festival, running Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, April 30. Stacked with flower power from featured florists East Olivia, New York-based dried and preserved flower shop, and Canaan Marshall, renowned Atlanta-based florist of HBO Max’s “Full Bloom,” the community-wide festival invites visitors to join a “1970’s chic” inspired weekend of far-out floral installations, hands-on floral workshops from master floral designers, stellar in-store activations, exclusive promotions and funky photo-ready moments – all vibrantly designed to celebrate spring in style. 

To celebrate, Jamestown’s Buckhead Village is joining forces with neighboring properties including Andrews Square, Buckhead Commons, Shops Around Lenox, St. Regis Atlanta, Livable Buckhead, 99 West Paces, Atlanta History Center, Sylvan Kimpton Hotel, Path 400, Resurgens Plaza and Buckhead Tower, to create a walkable weekend complete with a budding line-up of ticketed events, open-to-the-public floral displays and over-the-top installations across all properties. 

Bodacious Blooms will feature a retro mural from Dazy LA by designer Dani Dazey. The artwork will complement the chic, dazzling floral installation by East Olivia filled with vibrant colors, shimmering lights and whimsical flowers.

Thursday, April 27, 6-8pm 

An evening with flowers and friends, Buckhead Village will host a grand unveiling and exclusive first-look at all of the far-out floral installations throughout the property. Guests will enjoy canapés from Saint Germain and live music by Tune Union, and models will flaunt floral headdresses of preserved flowers by East Olivia alongside the latest fashions from shops around the neighborhood including Frances Valentine, Abbey Glass and Sarah Flint. The event will take place in the beautiful, weather-protected, open-air area of The Veranda – located at the corner of Bolling Way and Buckhead Avenue across from Le Bilboquet. Friday, April 28, 11:30am-1:30pm

Top floral designer Canaan Marshall will be leading an intimate, hands-on floral arrangement class. As seen on HBO Max’s Full Bloom (S2), Canaan describes this experience as a fantastic introduction for those who are interested in creating a breath-taking arrangement for their own home, or anyone who would like to learn to use everyday floral elements to enhance their next get together. Tickets are $200 per person, and guests will be provided with florals, a vessel and all of the necessary supplies to design a beautiful centerpiece to bring home. The class will be held in The Veranda, and boxed lunches and refreshments will be provided by Saint Germain Bakery.

Friday, April 28, 3-6pm

In preparation for Livable Buckhead’s annual 5K, kids can express their inner creativity and celebrate spring by decorating PATH400 with chalk art flowers. Livable Buckhead encourages runners of all ages and abilities – and their four-legged friends – to join the buckheadRUN! 5K. In addition to awards for the fastest runners in various age groups, buckheadRUN! includes a “Fastest Fido” category, bandana giveaways for dogs, a pre-race hype event and post-race celebration. Runners are also encouraged to celebrate spring by dressing in flower-themed costumes and garb. Livable Buckhead will award prizes for the best flower costumes. Featuring Holiday Fun Including the German Christkindl Market, a Performance from Atlanta Ballet 2, a new Holiday in Technicolor Event Series, Festive Pop-Ups & More

Buckhead Village is decking the halls this holiday season with an abundance of new and returning holiday activities, inviting guests to reunite with annual favorites like The German American Cultural Foundation’s German Christkindl Market & a performance from the Atlanta Ballet 2 and explore a variety of exciting offerings like a new Holidays in Technicolor event series, festive pop-ups and more.

The property will celebrate the merriest time of year as it transforms into an abstract winter wonderland decked with sparkling globes, illuminated trees and fresh eucalyptus garland. Dashing happenings will abound all season long, including:

  • Fri., Nov. 25 through Sat., Dec. 24, open Fri-Sun from 11:30am-9pm and Mon-Thurs from 3-8:30pm – German Christkindl Market

Join Buckhead Village in toasting the season with German Glühwein – also known as mulled wine – hot chocolate or cider, and discover delicious traditional German treats like pretzels, schnitzel, brats and more. Shop items like ornaments from Kaethe Wohlfahrt – one of Germany’s best known Christmas ornament shops – wooden toys, jewelry, clay and hardwood pipes, German handcrafts, and bath and body items, among much more.

Buckhead Village will transform into a music- and dance-inspired holiday nirvana, inviting the community to enjoy magical performances by the Atlanta Ballet 2, presenting selections from classics like The Nutcracker and Snow White plus other contemporary works. Selected by audition from all over the world, Atlanta Ballet 2 represents the highest level of training in the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education

Cozy up alongside fire pits in the open-air space across from Le Bilboquet to enjoy the performances. Performances will be free and open to the public – no tickets required. 

Prefer to spectate with a cocktail in hand? Guests can also reserve a special dining experience at Le Bilboquet’s outdoor patio to enjoy the performances. Reservations are available on OpenTable & will require a $95 per person minimum spend on food & beverage.

Create new traditions with Buckhead Village’s Holidays in Technicolor event series, set to transform The Veranda into a whimsical Christmas Tree-scape with the help of renowned and decorated florist Canaan Marshall of HBO Max’s “Full Bloom.” One of the city’s most anticipated photo ops of the season, the technicolor wonderland will don an array of traditional flocked Christmas trees mixed with contemporary painted trees adorned with cozy lighting, unique jewel-tones, dramatic ornaments and bows, lifesize ornaments throughout the space, a dusting of snow throughout The Veranda and other colorful, themed accents.

The series will also kick off with the unveiling of a new mural by Hvass&Hannibal, a Copenhagen design studio, that will debut the artist’s signature style along with a rich color scheme that seamlessly blends with the jewel toned hues from Marshall’s enchanted wonderland.

Stop by to experience a revolving door of family-friendly activities and crafts like ornament and cookie decorating, appearances throughout the day from Stylish Santa, Lilac Wine, Tinsletone Carolers and snowglobe ballerinas, plus restaurant specials and in-store events from shops around the property. Seasonal treats from Saint Germain Bakery, Georgetown Cupcakes, Bella Cucina, Shake Shack and The Southern Gentleman will be available with donation to the Atlanta Ballet.

Vendors will rotate weekly.

  • Sat., Dec. 3, 10:30am-12:30pm – Le Jardin Français Holiday Wreath Making Workshop in The Veranda

Next up in Buckhead Village’s Curated Series, a series of bespoke workshops for the creative and curious, is a wreath-making workshop with Le Jardin Français. Under the impeccable direction of floral extraordinaire Marie-Laure Coste-Dujols, attendees will embark on a journey to master the art of French floral design and create inspired holiday wreaths using the season’s best materials. Tickets are available for $325 and can be purchased here

Hosted on Buckhead Avenue, Buckhead Village has partnered with Livable Buckhead to kick off a community tree decorating event set to transform Buckhead Village’s streets into a forest of fully-decorated Christmas trees that will remain on display throughout the weekend before they are donated to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation to spread this season’s holiday cheer. The event will take place from noon to 3pm, alongside festivities from the day’s Holidays in Technicolor event that will continue until 6pm. Buckhead Avenue will be closed on Sat., Dec. 3 for this event.

In addition to donning this season’s pines with festive lights, cards and fire truck ornaments, attendees can enjoy s’mores by the fire pits, festive blooms from Gussied Up Flower Truck, kid-friendly ornament decorating stations, live street art from Atlanta-based chalk muralist Jessi Queen, a vintage photo booth from Atlanta Photo Camper and holiday performances by Xiamara (noon-2pm), Tinsletone Carolers (2-6pm), Tune Union (3-6pm) and Stylish Santa (noon-4pm). Seasonal treats including hot chocolate from Saint Germain Bakery and bites from Georgetown Cupcakes will be available with donation to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation.

Buckhead Village announces it will be home to The German American Cultural Foundation’s 2021 German Christkindl Market. Open to the public from Friday, November 26, 2021 through Sunday, January 2, 2022, the German holiday market will be located on the corner of North Fulton and Buckhead Avenue (309 Buckhead Ave) and feature over 50 vendors offering food and beverage treats and items to shop, plus live music and entertainment on the weekends. Market hours will be 11:30am-9:30pm Sunday through Thursday and 11:30am-10:30pm on Friday and Saturday.

 

Attendees will be able to wind their way through the festive holiday market and enjoy drinks like German Glühwein – also known as mulled wine – hot chocolate and cider, and traditional German food, including pretzels, schnitzel, brats and more. To shop, visitors will find items like ornaments from Kaethe Wohlfahrt, one of Germany’s best known Christmas ornament shops, wooden toys, jewelry, clay and hardwood pipes, German handcrafts, and bath and body items, among much more.

Filled with contemporary photo opp moments, the space will feature pastel floral canopies, life-sized abstract trees and colossal flowers. Guests will be able to let their inner pixie roam free amongst life-size paper trees in Buckhead Village’s reimagining of a classic holiday scene, and strike a pose with sugar plum ballerinas each Saturday beginning November 27 from noon to 6pm. 

 

  • Every Sat., Nov. 27 – Dec. 18, noon-6pm – Holiday Shop & Strolls: Buckhead Village’s Shop & Stroll series will invite guests to enjoy an open-air dining and shopping experience featuring family-friendly activities and crafts like ornament and cookie decorating; holiday performances and appearances throughout the day from Stylish Santa, The Mad Violinist, Tinsletone Carolers and ballerinas; restaurant specials; in-store events from shops around the property; food and beverage carts offering complimentary treats from Saint Germain Bakery, Georgetown Cupcake, Bella Cucina, Shake Shack, The Southern Gentleman and more.

Holiday Market: Buckhead Art & Co., a premier contemporary art gallery located at Buckhead Village, will be hosting its second annual Holiday Market this November, benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) and supporting Pamela “Pammy” Reid, a local sixth grader who has struggled and overcome pediatric medulloblastoma. The Holiday Market helped raise $62,000 for CHOA last year, and this year’s market will feature paintings, jewelry, holiday gifts and more for purchase from artists including Charlie Hanavich, Laura Deems, Angela Chrusciaki Blehm and Millie Sims. The Market will be open to the public and will be located in the space next to Billy Reid, across from The Veranda.

 

  • Sat., Dec. 11, 5-8pm – Miracle on Peachtree: Hot Chocolate Crawl: Buckhead Village will be a part of Livable Buckhead’s Miracle on Peachtree Hot Chocolate Crawl this holiday season! Participants can view the community hub’s beautiful light displays, explore retailers’ festive window displays and stop by Saint-Germain Bakery for complimentary hot chocolate as well as other Buckhead Village restaurants to enjoy special holiday drinks, live music, beats from DJ Grace and entertainment throughout.   • Opening Mid-November – The Blitzen Room at Biltong Bar: Biltong Bar at Ponce City Market and Buckhead Village are “Up to Snow Good” as they transform their spaces for the third annual holiday pop-up: The Blitzen Room. The restaurants will feature swanky, vintage Christmas decor and seasonally themed cocktails from Chartreuse Hot Chocolate to Frozen Egg Nog.

Kicking Off on November 28, the Sip & Stroll Series Will Be Held Every Saturday Through December 19 & Feature an Artist Market, Special Food & Beverage, Live Entertainment, Roaming Performers, Holiday Decor, Photo Opps & More

This holiday season, Buckhead Village will transform into a holiday wonderland, complete with dazzling window displays and festive decor, jolly events and pop-ups, and a series of Sip & Strolls to celebrate the most merry time of year. The Veranda and the property’s iconic streetscapes will be decked out in green and white, and adorned with eucalyptus garland, wreaths, ornaments and colorful string lights. The paseo alongside Dior will be outfitted with lit archways overhead, and throughout Buckhead Village’s common areas, festive flagpole banners, cheery lighted window displays and more will ignite the holiday spirit.

Kicking off on Black Friday weekend (November 28) and held every Saturday through December 19 from noon-6pm, the Sip & Stroll series will welcome guests to enjoy an open-air dining and shopping experience featuring seasonal food and drink specials at Buckhead Village restaurants; discounts from retailers like Bella Cucina, Tod’s, alice + olivia, Warby Parker, Kimberly McDonald and more; live entertainment in The Veranda; family-friendly activities and crafts; and holiday performers and musicians. Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase a custom mug to gain access to exclusive specials and discounts around the property during each Sip & Stroll and to be entered into a raffle. Atlanta. There will be two curated tiers of design, and all services are inclusive of a gift box, tissue paper, ribbon, bow, gift tag and embellishment.

  • Tues., Dec. 1 – Tues., Dec. 24 – Good+ Toy Drive: alice + olivia’s annual Good+Foundation Toy Drive returns for another year! From December 1 through December 24, shoppers will receive a 15% discount when they bring a toy to the Buckhead Village store.

  • Fri., Dec. 11 – Sun., Dec 13 – Sleigh-In Holiday Movies: Presented as part of Miracle on Peachtree with Livable Buckhead and located at 309 Buckhead Avenue NE, the “sleigh-in” movie series invites people of all ages to enjoy holiday classics outdoors this holiday season. Guests can purchase bites and drinks from Biltong Bar, Fado Irish Pub and Taverna through their online ordering platforms, and tickets will be available here. The cost is $25 per car and $35 per car for double showings ($5 discount for Livable Buckhead members and electric vehicles), and there will  be front row seats reserved for those who ride bikes or walk ($10 per person).  Buckhead Village is hosting a Fall Block Party + Sidewalk Shop & Stroll on

Saturday, October 3 from 11am-6pm and Sunday, October 4 from noon-6pm.

The community destination will welcome guests to enjoy open-air shopping from participating retailers like Alice + Olivia, Bella Cucina, Billy Reid, B.M. Franklin & Co, Theory, Buckhead Art & Co and Pinker Times, and complimentary fall treats – apple cider, Georgetown Cupcakes and flowers from Pinker Times – will be offered throughout the property. Visitors can also enjoy complimentary kombucha and cold brew coffee from Kea Beverages and live music at The Veranda, a newly debuted 1960-square-foot covered space bringing the outdoors in with lush greenery, soaring ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling screens.
 
Also on Saturday and Sunday, HERMARKET®️, a community and marketplace for woman-owned indie brands and the women who love them, will be popping up on Buckhead Avenue and feature products for purchase from makers including Suakoko Betty, Candy x Paints, Roots ATL, Tranquilo Teas and more. Founded by Jazlin Pitts and Kia Perry, HERMARKET also organizes virtual experiences and brand partnerships to provide a platform where women can discover and support these brands while connecting with each other.

Friday Evening Kickoff with Gather/Chill: A Founder Series with Local Fashion Designer Abbey Glass

 

Saturday & Sunday to Feature Outdoor, Open-Air Shopping, Live Music, Complimentary Beverages & HERMARKET®️ Pop-Up Showcasing Woman-Owned Indie Brands

 

Buckhead Village, the dynamic community destination that blends diverse shopping and culinary experiences with welcoming communal spaces, bold design and interactive art installations, will host a series of outdoor happenings the weekend of August 28-30, including:

 

  • Gather/Chill: A Founder Series with Abbey Glass – Kicking off the weekend on Friday, August 28, Buckhead Village will host the first Gather/Chill: A Founders Series with local fashion designer and Atlanta native Abbey Glass. Beginning at 6pm, guests can gather at The Veranda for an evening of fashion discussion and shopping with Abbey Glass, the founder behind the eponymous Atlanta-based womenswear brand offering classic, refined clothing designed to stand the test of time and trend. The brand has a flagship boutique located at Buckhead Village and collections available in 70 other specialty retailers across the country. During the discussion moderated by lifestyle blogger and marketing strategist Safiyyah O’Quinn, Abbey will cover her journey as a founder and fashion designer based in Atlanta. Attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP here in advance of the event, and to provide a safe environment, masks will be required and social distancing measures will be in place.

 
  • Summer Sidewalk Shop & Stroll – On Saturday, August 29 from 11am-6pm and Sunday, August 30 from noon-6pm, the Summer Sidewalk Shop & Stroll will welcome guests to enjoy open-air shopping & dining. Participating retailers include Amorino Gelato, Abbey Glass, alice + olivia, Bella Cucina, Billy Reid, Bonobos, Intermix, Kimberly McDonald, Shake Shack, Theory, TOD’s and more, and visitors can also enjoy complimentary coffee and live music at The Veranda, a newly debuted 1960-square-foot covered space bringing the outdoors in with lush greenery, soaring ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling screens. Also on Saturday and Sunday, HERMARKET®️, a community and marketplace for woman-owned indie brands and the women who love them, will be popping up on Buckhead Avenue and feature products for purchase. Founded by Jazlin Pitts and Kia Perry, HERMARKET also organizes virtual experiences and brand partnerships to provide a platform where women can discover and support these brands while connecting with each other.
