Forsyth County’s premier mixed-use village invites the community to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Head to Halcyon in December for an exciting line-up of events. Kick off the month by enjoying festive drinks at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl, meeting Santa with your little ones at Kids Club and celebrating all the winter holidays at Halcyon Holiday Magic and Chanukah at Halcyon.

The full December events schedule is outlined below:

Hobnob’s Ski Chalet Pop-Up Bar

Running through December 31

Head to Hobnob at Halcyon this month for its winter ski resort pop-up bar. Try some of the best Apres-ski fare east of the Rockies and enjoy snowy-season-inspired, cozy cocktails by the fireplace. Halcyon Holiday Magic

Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for a magical day as the district officially welcomes Santa and friends! Guests can meet and take photos with their favorite characters including Santa Claus, The Grinch, Minnie and Mickey, Anna and Elsa and Buddy and Jovie. Families can also visit the Northside Hospital Teddy Bear station to get their own teddy bear to take home, groove to live local music (line-up to come) presented by Galaxy Music and Arts and enjoy face painting, balloon artists, crafts and so much more. 

Early bird tickets are $20 per child through Nov. 27. If any tickets remain, ticket prices will revert to regular pricing of $25 per child on Nov. 28 until all tickets are sold. This is a rain-or-shine event! Most activities and all characters will be moved inside in case of inclement weather. No refunds will be issued.

Cherry Street’s Brewville Holiday Events

Christmas Kid’s Craft

Sunday, December 8 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Bring the whole family for a festive morning of Christmas cheer at Cherry Street! Kids can get creative at our ornament decorating station, while parents relax and enjoy brunch in the Brewhouse.

Two time slots are available, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Holiday Sip and Paint

Wednesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Join Cherry Street for a merry Sip and Paint night at Halcyon, where creativity meets holiday cheer. Get into the festive spirit as guests craft their own seasonal masterpiece while sipping on holiday brews and cocktails. With a cozy, 21+ only atmosphere, holiday decorations, and expert guidance, it’s the perfect blend of artistry and holiday fun. 

Ticket sales will cut off on Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. Tickets include a reserved seat in the festive Brewhouse, a holiday-inspired signature cocktail, all necessary painting supplies, guided instruction to create a holiday masterpiece and gratuity and tax. Holiday Trivia

Tuesday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Experience holiday joy with Holiday Trivia in Cherry Street’s Brewville Pop-Up Bar. Enjoy themed drinks and festive decor while competing in trivia for prizes. Reserve a spot now for a jolly good time. A deposit of $25 is required upon sign-up to reserve a table (deposit is applied towards the tab at the end of trivia). The deposit includes one reserved table or bar seat for up to 6 guests in the Brewville Brewhouse and one round of rousing holiday-themed trivia. Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl

Thursday, December 12 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.

The Annual Halcyon Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl is back, so head to Halcyon for a fun night for a great cause, benefitting The Place. The $15 admission ticket includes a Grinch Margarita (mocktail option available) at CT Cantina & Taqueria, an incredible night of fun, photos with the Grinch, and visits to all participating restaurants, including two seasonal pop-up bars, Brewville Christmas Bar at Cherry Street Brewpub and the Ski Chalet Pop-up Bar at HOBNOB.

Some of Halcyon’s restaurants and bars will feature live music, DJs, and dance parties. The Grinch will also be selecting the winners of the Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest and each winner will receive a $50 gift card from one of Halcyon’s restaurants. Guests can also purchase $10 tickets for a chance to win prizes. Prizes include a reserved VIP table at Cherry Street Brewpub’s Brewville Christmas Bar during the December 12th event and HOBNOB at Halcyon Bourbon Club Tasting tickets for four guests on January 8th, 2025 ($160 value).

The Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl is a fundraiser for The Place, a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist the people in Forsyth and Dawson County areas with essential needs and to be self-sustaining. This event is strictly for those 21 and over. Halcyon strongly encourages Uber & Lyft. This event is also rain or shine and tickets are non-refundable. Chick-fil-A Halcyon Dinner With Santa

Friday, December 13 at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Join Chick-fil-A Halcyon for a magical evening at Dinner With Santa! Get into the holiday spirit and enjoy a delicious dinner with the jolly man himself. The whole family is invited for a fun-filled night of food, festivities, and special surprises. Don’t miss out on this special event and make sure to reserve your spot early. It’s sure to be a jolly good time!

The regular ticket includes dinner, dessert, pictures with Santa and other holiday festivities for one adult and one child. Cars and Coffee Hosted by Mercedes-Benz Club of America

Saturday, December 15 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Join the Mercedes-Benz Experience by RBM of Alpharetta for a beautiful morning sipping on specialty coffee drinks, viewing Mercedes-Benz vehicles from a variety of years in the Halcyon event parking lot and mingling with friends and other members of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. Mercedes-Benz Experience by RBM of Alpharetta will be offering special discounts off merchandise for all Mercedes-Benz Club of America members. This event is open to all Mercedes-Benz owners. Santa at Kids Club

Wednesday, December 18 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Kids are out of school, so Halcyon has planned a special holiday edition of Kids Club. Children will be able to visit and take photos with Santa and a Nutcracker ballerina thanks to Tutu School (bring your own camera, no professional photographer on-site). There will also be crafts and kids activities and the chance to play with and meet adoptable puppies from FurKids.

Families are encouraged to stay for lunch at Halcyon and wrap up their holiday shopping at retailers such as Piggy Jo’s – Halcyon’s children’s clothing and toy boutique! Dress warm, as all activities will be held outside. This event is rain or shine. Santa photos and some of the activities will move inside in case of inclement weather. Brunch n’ Brews with Santa at Cherry Street

Saturday, December 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Join Cherry Street at Halcyon for one of the year’s most festive and fun events! Savor a scrumptious brunch, then head to the Brewhouse to meet Santa, snap photos, and share your Christmas wishes. Reservations are not required for pictures with Santa or for brunch. Cherry Street is accepting a limited amount of brunch reservations; please email Kirstie at k.allen@cherrystreetbrewing.com to inquire. Walk-ins will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis! HOBNOB’s Adult Christmas Party

Saturday, December 21 at 8 p.m.

Eat, drink and be merry at HOBNOB at Halcyon! The adults-only Christmas party will include a dance floor, raffle, DJ’s on the rooftop and 1st floor, drink specials and $5 Naughty Shots. Chanukah at Halcyon

Thursday, December 26 at 6 p.m.

Halcyon invites the entire community to its Chanukah Celebration. Meet in the Village Green for the lighting of the Menorah, gelt (chocolate coins), latkes, games, giveaways and music. HOBNOB New Year’s Eve

Tuesday, December 31 starting at 5 p.m.

Butcher and Brew New Year’s Eve

Tuesday, December 31 starting at 8 p.m.

Georgia Avenue Offers an Exciting Month Full of Specials, Giveaways and Holiday Fun

‘Tis the season to be jolly, and Summerhill has many things planned during December that bring the neighborhood together in a special way. From Halfway Crooks’ Boevenmarkt to Wood’s Chapel Winterfest, Summerhill captures what the holidays are all about: community.

  • Halfway Crooks invites guests to its Boevenmarkt every Friday through Sunday until Dec. 23. The Boevenmarkt is a holiday market featuring over 50 unique local artists, and shoppers also can enjoy food and various drinks such as beer and hot chocolate. There will be live music on Dec. 9 and 17 as well as movies on Friday evenings. A kid-focused day on Dec. 10 boasts cookie and ornament workshops along with a children’s holiday jam. The Boevenmarkt will take place in the Biergarten.
  • Junior’s Pizza’s pizza of the month for December is “Big Trouble in Little China” and is available in regular, vegetarian or vegan. This year’s special gives guests the option of sweet Thai chili or orange chicken instead of sesame chicken. Starting Wednesday, Dec. 13, the pizzeria will host Drag Bingo twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Drag Bingo runs 7- 9 p.m., is free to play and kid-friendly.
  • Little Bear is celebrating the season with two events. Sunday, Dec. 24 marks the return of Little Bear’s Jewish Chinese Christmas Eve. The event starts at 5 p.m. and features a four-course prix fixe menu and a holiday booze pack that includes a cocktail, two wine glasses and a nightcap. Tickets can be purchased online. On Sunday, Dec. 31, the restaurant hosts its Fancy Ass Baller Welcome to 2024 NYE Prix Fixe Bonanza. The event starts at 6 p.m. and includes a four-course prix fixe menu and holiday booze pack. Tickets can be purchased online.
  • Little Tart is now offering cookie boxes just in time for the holidays. These are available for pick-up and shipping leading up to Christmas. Cookie boxes can be pre-ordered online.

  • Saturday, Dec. 9 from 8-10 p.m. – 2nd annual Champagne + Oysters with shucked oysters and a lineup of incredible Champagnes and sparkling wines
  • Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 7-9 p.m. – Book Club with “So Late in the Day” by Claire Keegan
  • Thursday, Dec. 14 from 6-8 p.m. – Glad & Young studio pop-up with customizable leather goods, custom calligraphy and free bubbles
  • Dec. 13-15 – Gift Wrapping
  • Story time every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
  • Golden Hour Tastings every Friday from 6-7 p.m. and Saturday from 4-7 p.m.
  • Wood’s Chapel BBQ’s courtyard will be decked out in holiday décor for Winterfest. The grand event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 6- 8 p.m. and will highlight an array of entertainment from the Maynard Jackson High School Choir and Glee Club to the Neighborhood Ballet. There also will be a gingerbread house decorating contest, an ugly sweater contest, a tree lighting ceremony and giveaways. The gingerbread house decorating contest entry fee is $20, and the entry form is online. The restaurant also is offering Christmas catering including whole smoked turkeys, maple-glazed ham, sides, desserts and more. Orders must be placed online by Dec. 15 for pickup on Saturday, Dec. 23. Wood’s Chapel BBQ gift cards are perfect for even the pickiest on Santa’s list. All $100 gift cards purchased by Jan. 1, 2024 receive a $20 bonus.

Featuring poetry, stagecraft and daring acrobatics, Cirque du Soleil “ECHO” explores a story about evolution and the symbiotic unions that our future depends on. Ticket prices and times vary. Before or after the show, lace up your skates and spend a night under the stars at Atlanta’s largest outdoor skating rink. Skate the Station, running Friday, Nov. 17 through Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, returns with a Skate Snack Shop and warming zones. Featuring an exciting lineup of theme nights, including Superhero Night (Nov. 19), Pink Night (Nov.28), Cosplayers on Ice Presented by MomoCon (Dec. 2 and Jan. 6, 2024), Atlanta Falcons Night (Dec. 9), Kids Night (Dec. 18), Ugly Sweater Night (Dec. 23) and First Responders Night (Dec. 30), Skate the Station promises a joyful time for all. And the holiday fun doesn’t stop there. Visit Atlantic Station for one of the biggest events of the season, Light the Station, on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.! This annual event transports guests into a holiday spectacular with the lighting of the 50-foot Christmas tree in the center of the Atlantic Green. Partake in the free festivities leading up to the epic lighting with a live set from DJ Chika Takai, a Winter Wonderland Parade with merry characters, performances by the Atlanta Drum Academy and the Abominable Marching Band and much more. Football Watch Parties, Live NFC Fight Event, Heroes and Villains Halloween Party, NYE Live! Hollywood Nights & More

 Live! at The Battery – the entertainment destination located in the heart of The Battery Atlanta – announces its events lineup for October, November and December 2023, plus ongoing happenings like Freedom Friday and Silent Disco Saturday.

  • College Football & Professional Football Game Watch Parties – The thrills of football are back on the field and available to watch at all the venues right inside Live! at the Battery Atlanta with the ultimate football experience! From one of the biggest screens in the Southeast inside Sports and Social Atlanta to VIP booth experiences and Bull Riding inside of PBR, the liveliest atmosphere in all of Atlanta starts here. Fans can enjoy a huge selection of game day food like shareable nachos and mouth-watering burgers while enjoying Coors Light Bucket specials! 
  • Heroes & Villains – A Live! Halloween Party (Friday., Oct. 27, 8pm-2am) – Things are getting spooky at Live! this October with a Heroes & Villains themed Halloween party! Guests are invited to don their best costumes for a night of exhilarating suspense, where forces of good clash with the shadows of evil in an epic showdown of fun.   • Wizards & Wands (Saturday, Nov. 18, 8pm-1am) – This Fall, Live! At the Battery is conjuring up a magical experience full of wonder and sorcery with fan favorite witches and wizards. Potterheads are invited to don their finest robes representing their house or favorite character and be immersed in spellbinding ambiance, complete with flickering candles and mystical marvels.   • NFC Fight Night (Friday, Dec. 8, 7pm-midnight) – Live! at the Battery is hosting their second National Fighting Championship (NFC) event this winter. The adrenaline-filled night will feature live professional and amateur MMA and Muay Thai fights. Fight attendees will have the chance to be a part of the non-stop action during 12+ Fights in the NFC cage at one of the most exciting and new environments for watching live fights. Plus, there will be fan-favorite drinks and an official after party next door at PBR. The event will be 18 and up with certain areas being 21 and up. Tickets are available here.
  • Tinsel Tavern (Nov., 30 through Dec., 23, excluding select dates) – Live! at The Battery will once again be home to popular holiday pop-up bar Tinsel Tavern throughout the merriest time of year. Featuring an explosion of tinsel and twinkling lights, holiday-inspired cocktails and small bites, photo moments, themed nights and more, the whimsical experience is a can’t-miss holiday spot.   • NYE Live! Hollywood Nights (Sunday, Dec. 31, 8pm-2am) – Live! at the Battery is rolling out the red carpet and flashing lights for New Year’s Eve! Guests can be the star of the party with exclusive access to all the venues during this Hollywood Nights-themed event. Ticket packages include entertainment with live music, unforgettable photo-op moments and a midnight champagne toast featuring the Times Square Ball Drop on a 32-ft LED screen! A one-of-a-kind place to catch sports, dine in style, sip cold beer and craft cocktails, play games and do a bit of bull riding and line dancing, Live! at The Battery plays host to some of Atlanta’s most fun food and drink events. Ongoing happenings include:

  • Freedom Friday, which welcomes military personnel, vets, first responders and public service members to skip the line, get free cover (credentials required) and enjoy drink specials every first Friday of the month.
  • Silent Saturday, inviting guests to grab a pair of headphones and get in the groove with beats from local DJs.
