Wrecking Bar Brewpub’s 8th Anniversary

About: Hoppy Anniversary to Wrecking Bar! Join them as they celebrate our 8th anniversary June 14-16. Here’s the low down on what’s happening each day. Friday: they will be giving away a commemorative gift to othe first 50 guests, barrel-aged and cask beers, and 4-packs of 8th Anniversary Juice Willis IPA, Technological Ripeness Double IPA v4, and Double Rainbros available to-go. Saturday: they will be giving away a commemorative gift to the first 50 guests, barrel-aged and cask beers, 500 mL bottles 8th Anniversary BBA Siberius Maximus Blend, as well as Seed and Feed Marching Abominable perform at 2:30 p.m. Finally, Sunday, will include barrel-aged and cask beers, Mexican Siberius Maximus (Taps at Noon), Hops for Pops – 3x DH Technological Ripeness v4 (Taps at Noon), and 500 mL bottles Willett BBA Sprinklerhead English Barleywine (2018 GABF Silver Medal winner). 2019 Doggies on the Catwalk

About: Doggies on the Catwalk returns this year for its biggest fashion event to date. Celebrating 12 years of philanthropic success, The Doggies on the Catwalk Foundation founder and notable Atlanta personality, E. Vincent Martinez, is thrilled to take this year’s event to the next level. Taking place at Greenberg Traurig’s Atlanta penthouse office suite at Terminus 200 in the heart of Buckhead for the second year in a row, attendees are invited to experience a crowd-pleasing runway lineup that includes adorable pups, local personalities and coveted luxury brands. An unforgettable evening of fashion, fun and philanthropy, Doggies on the Catwalk fashion event will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 7 p.m. and benefits several organizations including Canine Assistants, a non-profit which educates and provides service dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities or other special needs. Emceed by Tad Lemire and Kara Wilson of “Tad & Drex Mornings” on B98.5 FM, Doggies on the Catwalk will feature a cocktail reception and a high-energy runway show showcasing the season’s most sought after looks from top designers and brands found at SAKS Fifth Avenue including Gucci, Prada, Givenchy, Saint Laurent and much more.  Guests will also have the opportunity to receive makeup touch ups and sample a variety of fragrances from Dior before the event. Daylong Outdoor Event at Waterworks Greenspace Features Food Trucks,
Pop-Up Beer Garden, Live Music, Games and More

Enjoy great food, outdoor games and a pop-up beer garden while supporting public greenspaces at Your Land on Tap. The free public event, which takes place on Saturday, May 18 at the new Waterworks Greenspace in West Midtown, benefits The Trust for Public Land and its #10MinWalk vision to ensure every American has access to a great park within a 10-minute walk.

“More than 135,000 people in Atlanta don’t enjoy access to a park within a 10-minute walk of their homes,” says The Trust for Public Land’s State Director George Dusenbury. “At Your Land on Tap, guests will experience the benefits of public greenspaces firsthand and get involved with our efforts to bring more parks to more people in Atlanta.”

Highlights of this daylong event include:

$1 from each refreshment sold benefits The Trust for Public Land.  Your Land on Tap takes place from 12-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at Waterworks Greenspace, adjacent to the City of Atlanta Waterworks at 300 Reservoir Drive NW.

Roswell Spring Arts and Craft Festival 2019

About: The second annual Roswell Spring Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the historic Roswell Town Square. Known for its preservation of history, celebration of the  arts and cultivation of the entrepreneurial spirit, Roswell is recognized as a family-friendly and enthusiastic art buying  community. An art festival created for artists by artists, the two-day outdoor  festival will feature approximately 100 painters, photographers, sculptors,  metalwork, glass artists, jewelers and more. Festival goers will also have the  opportunity to view artist demonstrations, live  acoustic music, dance  performances, gourmet food trucks with healthy alternatives and more.
