TURN UP THE HEAT WITH HALCYON’S JULY EVENTS LINE-UP

Forsyth County’s premier mixed-use village invites the community to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Head to Halcyon in July for an exciting line-up of events. Kick off the month enjoying live music every weekend by local bands at Groovin’ on the Green; get your sweat on with fan-favorite Farm Animal Yoga; turn back time at ‘80s Night; let your little ones dance with Elsa at Tutu School and enjoy the summer vibes at the Family Dance Party.

The full July events schedule is outlined below:

Groovin’ on the Green

Fridays and Saturdays in July from 6 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate the weekend by dancing and singing along to live musical performances on the Village Green. Enjoy local bands across a variety of genres playing top hits. On the last Saturday of each month, Cherry Street Brewpub will host live music on its patio adjacent to the Village Green. Guests can treat themselves to a craft brew and groove to live music playing all around the village! Halcyon has an open container policy, however outside food or beverages are prohibited. Halcyon Kids Club

Wednesdays through October from 10 a.m. – noon

Preschoolers are invited to play and make new friends at Halcyon’s free Kids Club! Enjoy rotating activities each week ranging from arts and crafts, dance, animal encounters, story time, puppet shows, music and so much more. Themes and activities vary each week and will be announced on Halcyon’s Facebook page and Instagram stories. A parent or guardian is required to stay with each child during the event. Big Peach Run, White and Blue 5K

Thursday, July 4 at 7:45 a.m.

Start your Independence Day off with Big Peach’s 5k, 10k, or 1k Fun Run at Halcyon!  This is a family-friendly event and all events are walker-friendly. Virtual options are also available. To register, visit the Big Peach event page.

Halcyon’s Family Dance Party

Friday, July 12 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Farm Animal Yoga

Saturday, June 13 at 9 and 10 a.m.

Mooove on over to Halcyon for Farm Animal Yoga, featuring live animals from North Georgia Wildlife Park! Treat your mind and body to a relaxing session of yoga appropriate for all skill levels, accompanied by adorable furry friends. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and are welcome to pause and take photos with the animals during the session. Tutu School 2nd Anniversary Party

Saturday, July 20th from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Join Tutu School for a Magical 2nd Anniversary Party! Beat the summer heat at Tutu School for a Special Dance Class with Elsa in honor of Tutu School Halcyon’s 2nd Year of Twirling. The event includes sweet treats, Elsa Friendship Bracelet making (kit included) and lots of twirling with the queen. You do not need to be an active Tutu School member to celebrate. Totally ‘80s Night

Friday, July 26 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Totally ’80s Night is back at Halcyon! Halcyon is turning back the clock for this tubular event in the Village Green. Come chill with us! The event will feature a DJ playing the best of the ’80s, themed ’80s cocktails at participating restaurants, ’80s trivia with prizes from Halcyon merchants, a costume contest, a photo booth and ’80s themed giveaways. 6/11 Make SLIME!! – Join MAKE[R] for a fun morning making SLIME!! Tropical Nights Ladies Night Out

Tuesday, June 11 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for an incredible night of fun at Tropical Nights Ladies Night Out! Event tickets will include your first tropical cocktail (or mocktail), a DJ and dancing in the Green with Silverstar Productions, Salsa dancing lessons with a live band from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Eclipse di Luna, shopping and tropical cocktail specials, activities, games and giveaways as well as a 360 Photo Booth Fun. Every ticket holder will also be rewarded with a special code redeemable for a FREE facial courtesy of Clean Your Dirty Face Halcyon ($50 value) and fresh flower crowns will be available for purchase. Bourbon Babes Luau Night: Enjoy an immersive experience by sampling different styles of bourbon in Cherry Street’s tiki-themed oasis, all guided by Old Dominick distillery. Cherry Street has partnered with Lauren Preskitt of Southern Belle Bourbon and Women’s Whiskey Collective, bringing you a night to take your tastebuds on a journey through a variety of bourbons in a tropical setting. Whether you’re a bourbon enthusiast or simply curious, Cherry Street’s warm and welcoming atmosphere provides the ideal setting to forge meaningful connections. Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt to the event to get entered into the giveaway!

Kick off the month watching the Masters Tournament at Cherry Street Brewpub; enjoy live music every weekend jamming to local bands at Groovin’ on the Green; celebrate fan-favorite farm animal yoga returning this month; shop from a variety of local, handmade products and gifts at the Halcyon Spring Artists Market; and take advantage of the spring weather by dining on one of the many outdoor patios at Halcyon’s restaurants.

From jewelry, pottery, wood crafts, home decor, pet products and candles, it’ll be impossible to leave without taking home something new – especially with Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations and year-end teacher gifts around the corner. Shamrock and roll into HOBNOB’s St. Patrick’s Day party! Halcyon’s beloved Easter celebration is back again this year. Families can choose from a 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. time slot to enjoy several activities on Village Green, such as meet-and-greet photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, petting zoo, balloon animals and so much more. Tickets are $20 per child with proceeds donated to Jesse’s House. Jesse’s House provides a safe haven and therapeutic environment for adolescent girls who have been removed from situations of neglect and abuse or present a safety risk to themselves and others. Cherry Street Brewpub: Kids Craft Brunch and Brunch n Brews with the Easter Bunny

Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

8th Annual Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble 5K, 10K, and 1K Fun Run

Thursday, November 23 at 7:45 a.m.

Join Halcyon for the Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble race before your Thanksgiving feast! Runners can register online or in-person for the 5K, 10K race or the 1K Fun Run, which is reserved for kids ages 10 and under. In-person registration will be available at Big Peach Running Co. in Cumming until Wednesday, November 22 and on-site registration starting at 7 a.m. on race day if not sold out. All participants will receive a lightweight hoodie and a custom medal. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a lightweight hoodie and a custom Fun Run medal. Halcyon Holiday Magic

Saturday, December 2 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Experience the wonder of the holiday season at Halcyon Holiday Magic – with special guests, Santa Claus, the Grinch, Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Anna and Elsa from Frozen. All characters will be available for photo opportunities, appointments are not required. Everyone can enjoy cheerful holiday activities, including free face painting, caricature artists, ornament making, balloon animals and more! Emceed by Galaxy Music & Arts, the event will feature live entertainment from talented teen dancers and singers in the community. Stop by the interactive teddy bear tent sponsored by Northside Hospital where the little ones can take home their own teddy bear. Help stuff the fire truck full of new, unwrapped toys to help children in the community have a wonderful Christmas. In order to make Halcyon Holiday Magic run smoothly and minimize lines, the event will be ticketed this year and all proceeds will be donated to Family Promise of Forsyth County. 8th Annual Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble 5K, 10K, and 1K Fun Run

Runners can register online or in-person for the 5K, 10K race or the 1K Fun Run, which is reserved for kids ages 10 and under. Celebrate International Doodle Dog Day on Sept. 24 with a Pooch Parade, giveaways and more

Doodles, poodles and their furry friends and family are invited to the best paw-ty of the year, Halcyon’s Doodle Dog Day on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelter, Georgia’s largest no-kill animal shelter and rescue organization, will also be onsite for attendees to meet adorable pups who are searching for their forever family and home.

Guests can check in at the Halcyon tent on the Village Green to pick up free dog swag and the schedule of dog-friendly events. At 2:30 p.m., watch the Pooch Parade sponsored by Unexpected Pooch, full of wagging tails and prizes for Unexpected Trick, Unexpectedly Rowdy, Unexpected Hairdo, Unexpected Talent, Unexpected Owner/Pup Lookalike and Unexpected Best in Show. An abundance of doggy samples and treats will be available from Halcyon’s many dog-friendly restaurant patios and shops, including free pup cups from Kilwins. Guests can also expect free dog caricatures, a training demonstration by Dog Training Elite Northeast Atlanta and vendors such as Wag Board’s charcuterie boards for dogs and Unexpected Pooch.

Save the date for the Fourth Annual Halcyon’s Got Talent! Held in partnership with Galaxy Music & Arts, a music studio in Alpharetta, the community is invited to enjoy an evening watching talented kids ranging from 10 to 18 years old perform their best acts on Village Green.
