SPRING HAS SPRUNG WITH APRIL EVENTS AT HALCYON

Forsyth County’s mixed-use village invites the community to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Halcyon welcomes the spring season with sunny skies, warmer weather and a fun-filled calendar of events in April! Kick off the month watching the Masters Tournament at Cherry Street Brewpub; enjoy live music every weekend jamming to local bands at Groovin’ on the Green; celebrate fan-favorite farm animal yoga returning this month; shop from a variety of local, handmade products and gifts at the Halcyon Spring Artists Market; and take advantage of the spring weather by dining on one of the many outdoor patios at Halcyon’s restaurants.

Groovin’ on the Green

Fridays and Saturdays in April from 6 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate the weekend by dancing and singing along to live musical performances on Village Green. Enjoy local musicians across a variety of genres playing top hits. On the last Saturday of each month, Cherry Street Brewpub will host live music on its patio adjacent to Village Green. Guests can treat themselves to a craft brew and groove to live music playing all around the village! Halcyon has an open container policy, however outside food or beverages are prohibited. Halcyon Kids Club

Wednesdays in April from 10 a.m. – noon

Preschoolers are invited to play and make new friends at Halcyon’s free Kids Club! Enjoy rotating activities each week ranging from arts and crafts, dance, animal encounters, story time, puppet shows, music and so much more. Themes and activities vary each week and will be announced on Halcyon’s Facebook page and Instagram stories. A parent or guardian is required to stay with each child during the event. Cherry Street Brewpub: Master’s Pappy Van Winkle Flight

Thursday, April 11 through Sunday, April 14 from 3 – 9 p.m.

Join Cherry Street Brewpub for an unforgettable Masters Tournament weekend experience with the inaugural Pappy Van Winkle Flight! Featuring Pappy 12 year, 13 year rye and 20 year editions, the flights are paired with a delicious pimento cheese board and house-made beer bread. Twirling Under the Sea with Ariel at Tutu School

Saturday, April 20 at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Dive into a sea of fun at Tutu School! Join Tutu School for an enchanting event featuring dance activities with Ariel, a magical mermaid tail craft, a Swimsuit pop-up from Piggy-Jo’s and delicious mini cupcake from It’s A Sweet Life! Farm Animal Yoga

Saturday, April 20 at 10 and 11 a.m.

Mooove on over to Halcyon for Farm Animal Yoga, featuring live animals from North Georgia Wildlife Park! Treat your mind and body to a relaxing session of yoga appropriate for all skill levels, accompanied by adorable furry friends. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and are welcome to pause and take photos with the animals during the session. This event is for ages 10 and up. Spring Artists Market

Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Halcyon’s Spring Artists Market returns with more than 50 talented local artisans! From jewelry, pottery, wood crafts, home decor, pet products and candles, it’ll be impossible to leave without taking home something new – especially with Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations and year-end teacher gifts around the corner. There will be live music from 1 – 4 p.m. each day. Stay for the day and shop around Halcyon’s locally owned boutiques or indulge in a delicious meal at Halcyon’s restaurants with outdoor patios. Kick off the month by treating yourself to some retail therapy at Halcyon’s Boutique Sidewalk Sale; have a beautiful silhouette done of your little one at Piggy Jo’; find the luck of the Irish celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at Cherry Street Brewpub and HOBNOB; and the beloved annual event, Hoppin’ into Halcyon, returns with exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Friday, March 8 from 6 p.m. – midnight

Cherry Street Brewpub: St. Paddy’s Celebration

Monday, March 11 to Sunday, March 17

St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t have to be celebrated in only one day! Cherry Street Brewpub is hosting a week-long celebration with Irish food and brews and Jameson Drink Specials from March 11-17. HOBNOB: St. Patrick’s Day Party

Saturday, March 16 beginning at 6 p.m.

Shamrock and roll into HOBNOB’s St. Patrick’s Day party! The rain or shine event will feature drink specials such as $7 Tullamore Dew Shots, $5 Green Beers, $10 Luck of Irish cocktails and $5 Shamrock Shots. Hoppin’ into Halcyon

Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Halcyon’s beloved Easter celebration is back again this year. Families can choose from a 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. time slot to enjoy several activities on Village Green, such as meet-and-greet photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, petting zoo, balloon animals and so much more. Tickets are $20 per child with proceeds donated to Jesse’s House. Jesse’s House provides a safe haven and therapeutic environment for adolescent girls who have been removed from situations of neglect and abuse or present a safety risk to themselves and others. Cherry Street Brewpub: Kids Craft Brunch and Brunch n Brews with the Easter Bunny

Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hop into Easter fun for the whole family at Cherry Street Brewpub for egg-citing festivities planned and plenty in store for the holiday. On Sunday, March 24 guests can choose from two waves, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., for a kids craft brunch. 8th Annual Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble 5K, 10K, and 1K Fun Run

Thursday, November 23 at 7:45 a.m.

Join Halcyon for the Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble race before your Thanksgiving feast! Runners can register online or in-person for the 5K, 10K race or the 1K Fun Run, which is reserved for kids ages 10 and under. In-person registration will be available at Big Peach Running Co. in Cumming until Wednesday, November 22 and on-site registration starting at 7 a.m. on race day if not sold out. All participants will receive a lightweight hoodie and a custom medal. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a lightweight hoodie and a custom Fun Run medal. Halcyon Holiday Magic

Saturday, December 2 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Experience the wonder of the holiday season at Halcyon Holiday Magic – with special guests, Santa Claus, the Grinch, Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Anna and Elsa from Frozen. All characters will be available for photo opportunities, appointments are not required. Everyone can enjoy cheerful holiday activities, including free face painting, caricature artists, ornament making, balloon animals and more! Emceed by Galaxy Music & Arts, the event will feature live entertainment from talented teen dancers and singers in the community. Stop by the interactive teddy bear tent sponsored by Northside Hospital where the little ones can take home their own teddy bear. Help stuff the fire truck full of new, unwrapped toys to help children in the community have a wonderful Christmas. In order to make Halcyon Holiday Magic run smoothly and minimize lines, the event will be ticketed this year and all proceeds will be donated to Family Promise of Forsyth County. Chanukah at Halcyon

Sunday, December 10 from 5 – 7 p.m.

Halcyon invites the community to gather and celebrate Chanukah. Meet in the Village Green for the lighting of the Menorah, gelt (chocolate coins), delicious latkes, games, exciting giveaways and music. November commences with the much anticipated Halcyon Holiday Artists Market, featuring more than 55 local vendors and artists. For those seeking some physical activity, register for the 8th Annual Gobble Wobble race, followed by a delectable Thanksgiving feast at one of Halcyon’s restaurants. November promises to be a month filled with excitement at Halcyon, with the grand openings of Piggy Jo’s, Eichholtz by O.Dig.We and X-Golf. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy throughout November at Halcyon.

Celebrate International Doodle Dog Day on Sept. 24 with a Pooch Parade, giveaways and more

Doodles, poodles and their furry friends and family are invited to the best paw-ty of the year, Halcyon’s Doodle Dog Day on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelter, Georgia’s largest no-kill animal shelter and rescue organization, will also be onsite for attendees to meet adorable pups who are searching for their forever family and home.

Guests can check in at the Halcyon tent on the Village Green to pick up free dog swag and the schedule of dog-friendly events. At 2:30 p.m., watch the Pooch Parade sponsored by Unexpected Pooch, full of wagging tails and prizes for Unexpected Trick, Unexpectedly Rowdy, Unexpected Hairdo, Unexpected Talent, Unexpected Owner/Pup Lookalike and Unexpected Best in Show. An abundance of doggy samples and treats will be available from Halcyon’s many dog-friendly restaurant patios and shops, including free pup cups from Kilwins. Guests can also expect free dog caricatures, a training demonstration by Dog Training Elite Northeast Atlanta and vendors such as Wag Board’s charcuterie boards for dogs and Unexpected Pooch.
