Two Months of Over-the-Top Dining, Haunted Nights, and the Countdown to October 31

Family-Friendly and Adults-Only Reservations Now Available  

The countdown to Halloween is officially on at Amore e Amore, and this year, it’s creeping in earlier than ever. Beginning on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, and running through the entire month of October, the beloved ristorante will once again transform into a haunted hideaway for its annual Halloween-themed pop-up, A Nightmare on Highland, complete with eerie décor around every corner, spine-tingling treats, specialty cocktails, and sinfully delicious Italian fare crafted by Professor Giovanni himself.

Throughout the season, guests can reserve a table Tuesday through Sunday to dine among ghosts, ghouls, and over-the-top Halloween décor. Themed menus and hauntingly festive cocktails set the tone for evenings where indulgent Italian feasts meet spooky spectacle.

As October winds toward its most haunting nights, Amore e Amore takes the theatrics up a notch. The month-long spectacle builds to two back-to-back weekends designed for every kind of reveler—whether it’s little goblins on the hunt for candy or grown-ups looking to toast the witching hour with cocktails and costumes.

On Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, family-friendly festivities kick off at 4 p.m. Kids 12 and under are invited to show off their most hair-raising looks in a festive costume contest while digging into a spooktacular kids’ menu, priced at $29.95 per child. Little ghouls and goblins can enjoy pizza bites and meatballs, along with child-sized portions of fan-favorites like cheese ravioli, fettuccine alfredo, and spaghetti and meatballs.

Then, as the moon rises on Halloween night, it’s time for adults to raise spirits and take part in a haunted celebration like no other. On Friday, October 31, 2025, revelers 21 and up are summoned for a devilishly indulgent, adults-only evening. Guests can enjoy a four-course prix fixe menu for $125 per person, plus alcohol, tax, and gratuity, with seatings between 8 and 8:45 p.m. The night promises bone-chilling cocktails, a spellbinding set from a live DJ, a roaming magician, and a high-stakes costume contest brimming with prizes, praise, and plenty of boos and booze right up to the witching hour.

This fall, the gates of NETHERWORLD Haunted House burst open once again for its 29th Season of Screams, cementing its reign as one of America’s most iconic haunted attractions. Opening Friday, Sept. 19 and running for 35 chilling nights through early November, the 2025 season promises to be NETHERWORLD’s most ambitious and immersive yet.
 
Known nationwide for its blockbuster-quality special effects, elaborate sets, and Hollywood-worthy creatures, NETHERWORLD ups the ante in 2025 with two massive, haunted attractions. MONSTERS ATTACK!: Savage werewolves created by ancient alchemy, massive robotic war machines built with magic-infused science, and Frankensteinian creations fueled by primordial energy battle vampiric hordes, undying behemoths and a vast army of reanimated corpses in a battle royale. Led by the half-man, half-machine leader of the Brotherhood, Anton Varla, and his greatest creation, Cronus, the cursed town of Whyshburg struggles to hold off the attack and launch a doomsday missile to destroy the NETHERWORLD gate forever. THE WORKS TO HOST 4TH ANNUAL HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION ON OCTOBER 26

The Upper Westside community is invited to celebrate Something’s Brewing at The Works with crafts, candy stations, face painting and more

Join The Works in West Midtown for its 4th annual Something’s Brewing Halloween event for a spooktacular good time. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, come out with your little monsters for candy stations, crafts, interactive experiences, face painting, photo ops, balloon animals, critters and fun for all ages! This popular community event is expected to be the biggest and best one yet.

Guests at The Works’ Something’s Brewing can expect live beats from DJ Steve, music by Nero Simon & The Settlers, face painting by QFaces, animal balloons by Amplified Balloons, a critter show hosted by the Amphibian Foundation and complimentary cocktails from La Dolce Vita Mobile Bar. Upon arrival, guests can stop by The Workshop inside the Makers Building to check in, before heading off to visit the multiple outdoor craft and candy stations throughout the property. Various tenants across The Works will have spooky surprises, including Adelina Social Goods, Chattahoochee Food Works, Dr. Scofflaw’s and more. Groovin’ on the Green

Fridays and Saturdays in October from 6 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate the weekend by dancing and singing along to live musical performances on the Village Green. On the last Saturday of each month, Cherry Street Brewpub will host live music on its patio adjacent to the Village Green. Guests can treat themselves to a craft brew and groove to live music playing all around the village! Halcyon has an open container policy, however outside food or beverages are prohibited. Family Bingo

Sundays in October from 4-6 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for Family Bingo every Sunday from 4- 6 p.m. outside of Market Hall. This event is free, and you’ll have a chance to win small gift cards from our retailers and restaurants. All ages are invited to attend. While outside food or drink is strictly prohibited, dining is available at one of Halcyon’s Market Hall or full-service restaurants before, during or after bingo. Halcyon highly recommends pre-registering. If the event is full, you may stop by around 4 p.m. to see if walk-ups are available. Halcyon posts the link each Tuesday for the following Sunday. Halcyon Kids Club

Wednesdays through October from 10 a.m. – noon

Preschoolers are invited to play and make new friends at Halcyon’s free Kids Club! Enjoy rotating activities each week ranging from arts and crafts, dance, animal encounters, story time, puppet shows, music and so much more. Themes and activities vary each week and will be announced on Halcyon’s Facebook page and Instagram stories. A parent or guardian is required to stay with each child during the event. Season Finale: Farm Animal Yoga

Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m.

Mooove on over to Halcyon for Farm Animal Yoga, featuring live animals from North Georgia Wildlife Park! Treat your mind and body to a relaxing session of yoga appropriate for all skill levels, accompanied by adorable furry friends. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and are welcome to pause and take photos with the animals during the session. Witches Night Out

Head to Halcyon for an incredible night of fun at the annual Halloween Ladies Night Out! Tickets include  your first Black Magic Margarita or mocktail at HOBNOB for free (drink tickets will be provided at check-in), music and dancing in the Green, a costume contest with prizes for best groups and individuals (you can dress as a witch or in any costume you want!), live music and dancing at Eclipse di Luna and a DJ and dancing at HOBNOB High Up. There will also be Halloween-themed cocktails at our restaurants featuring Tito’s, Birdie’s photo booth camper with free take-home photos, discounts and specials at Halcyon retailers and pop-ups, games, and giveaways. Halloween at Halcyon

Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for the 5th annual Trick or Treating event! Activities will include trick-or-treating at over 30 participating Halcyon businesses, petting and grooming farm animals from the North Georgia Zoo, a meet-and-greet with Barbie and Spiderman, face painting and balloon twisting, a DJ on the Green, Halloween cotton candy and a make-your-own flower bouquet pop-up. There are also many fall and Halloween photo spots around Halcyon, so bring your camera to capture the day.

Registration is required and families can sign up for an 11 am or 1 p.m. trick-or-treat entry time. Tickets are $20 per child. Infants under the age of one and adults who won’t be trick or treating or participating in any activities will not need a ticket. Trick-or-treaters will receive wristbands for trick-or-treating and exclusive access to all activities. 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Bald Ridge Lodge to change lives and launch new futures for the young men in their care.

Spooky Street Horror Movie Trivia

Do you consider yourself a horror movie aficionado? Are you the ultimate scream queen or king? Put your knowledge to the test and join Cherry Street Brewpub for a night of thrilling trivia. You’ll be quizzed  on all things horror, from classic slasher films to supernatural thrillers. Trivia will start at 7:30 pm in our Spooky Street Brewhouse, hosted by the incredible A&G Productions. Get in the spooky spirit with festive drinks, cocktail specials, live music and more

 Join The Office Bar in Midtown Atlanta on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. for a spooktacular Halloween Boo’s Bash! The Midtown community is invited to enjoy festive cocktails, scary good drink specials, live music and so much more. Guests are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costumes to receive a complimentary house wine or beer.

New to the menu, The Office Bar is serving up the “Bad Brains” cocktail, featuring a mix of vodka, lime juice, house-made grenadine and a splash of Bailey’s Irish Cream, and the Officeween Burger, featuring a double beef patty, american cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, honey and roasted pepper mayo on a black brioche bun served with sweet potato fries on the side. The Blind Pig Parlour Bar invites guests to step into the shadows and embrace the fright at The Wicked Pig, the chilling new pop-up at The Blind Pig Parlour Bar. Starting Friday, Sept. 20, this Buckhead speakeasy will morph into a spooky lair filled with bone-chilling décor and eerie vibes. Guests should prepare to be bewitched by devilishly delicious Halloween cocktails and light bites, perfect for getting into the ghostly spirit of the season.

GLOW-like Charity Benefit Embraces Cosplay for a Cause

(Atlanta, Georgia) With glitz and glam, SLAW – Southern Ladies Arm Wrestling will hold their Halloween Brawl on October 19th at Wild Heaven West End Brewery & Gardens.

Essentially, the show is like GLOW, but with arm wrestling. 8 ladies compete in full wrestling persona costumes for charity, with one contestant winning the MVP award for raising the most money for the cause, and one contestant winning a championship belt for being the top arm wrestler. The audience trades in their ticketed donation at entry for “SLAW Bucks”, a Monopoly-like currency that they use to bid on which wrestler they think will win. SLAW raised $5,000 in gross proceeds at our first event for Project Safe, an anti-domestic violence charity, and plan on future events for 2024/2025 to be larger scale. With contestants of all walks of life, SLAW embraces a spirit of fun, collaboration, and levity.


Having recently performed at Dragoncon, SLAW’s hype band Vision Video will be playing 80’s-00’s pop song covers as the wrestlers’ introduction music. Led by Dusty Gannon (aka Goth Dad), the goth rock band is high-energy and pays homage to horror. SLAW spotlights Georgia businesses with sponsorships from Topo Chico, Wild Heaven Beer, M3 Yoga, Odyssey Jiu-Jitsu, Good Word Brewing, and others. 


Each event benefits a different women-initiated and women’s causes charity. The October 19th beneficiary is the Southeast Coalition of Psychedelic Practitioners, a female-founded non-profit that serves 4 million veterans with PTSD in the South across six states (please see below for statistics regarding the services they provide).

SLAW is based on an event in the founder’s hometown of Charlottesville, VA that has been running for over 15 years and raised over $100,000 for charity. “It meant the absolute world to me, especially in 2016/2017, to see the city come out in droves and be able to cheer on women at an event that was lighthearted and fun on its face, but directly supported local charities for causes that were suddenly in danger of being upended in our society at large. You could feel an electricity, it gave a lot of people an outlet and way to feel impactful,” Gentry said. “We want this to be a really fun cause that is about just empowering women and making them feel strong and seen, and just to have a great time. It’s supposed to be a friendly environment that’s really approachable. We want people to be proud of the hand they had in helping a local charity.”

Veteran PTSD Assistance Statistics:

13 million people in the US have PTSD, and tend to be co-diagnosed with depressive and/or anxiety disorders. PTSD radiates laterally in families, and forward in generations (most veterans come from military families that have served, affecting multigenerational trauma), and veteran suicides were reported in 2023 to have risen by 25%. 

MDMA-AT (Assisted Therapy) has been submitted to the FDA for approval with research showing an 86% efficacy in PTSD treatment. There are minimal side effects and are effective when antidepressants haven’t worked for many clients. 89% of participants in Ketamine assisted therapy sessions reported improvement in their depression and anxiety symptoms after 4 sessions, and 62% no longer reported suicidal ideation. It will likely be approved for medicinal purposes at the federal level by the end of 2024.

Insurance will not cover these treatments, and the cost is exorbitant. The South is among the lowest areas of economic status in the country, and those with PTSD often have difficulty with job security, relationships, community support, and stability. The Southeast Coalition of Psychedelic Practitioners helps raise and distribute funds for those seeking clinical therapy, with 80% of the pooled funds funneled to the financial cost of individual psychedelic-assisted therapy, and 20% to be provided to therapists seeking assistance with training that facilitates psychedelic-assisted therapy. Types of training include but are not limited to: Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Somatic-Informed Therapy models, and Trauma-Informed Therapy models.
