Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces Introduces Newest Free, Family-Friendly Festival 

Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, 2025

Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces is thrilled to introduce the inaugural Winder Spring Arts & Crafts Festival, a new addition to its roster of vibrant arts festivals including award-winning Piedmont Arts Festival, Chastain Park Arts Festival and the Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival. Taking place Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jug Tavern Park, this free, two-day outdoor festival will bring together a dynamic mix of painters, sculptors, photographers, crafters, and performers in a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Attendees are invited to sip, shop and stroll as they engage with artists, watch live demonstrations, and explore delicious food and drink offerings for all tastes. The Winder Spring Arts & Crafts Festival (139 E. WILD HEAVEN AVONDALE CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Celebrating 10 years of success in Avondale Estates, the crew at Wild Heaven Beer is hosting a Memorial Day Weekend bash with frosty brews, delicious eats, drink specials, music and more. The shenanigans kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24th, with Geoff Melkonian from The Remakes, and continue throughout the weekend with performances by Dave Howard Coons and Mutant County Line on Saturday, Blackfoot Daisy on Sunday, and Omer Netzer accompanied by Brewmaster Eric Johnson on the pedal steel guitar on Memorial Day, May 27th. In honor of the original location’s 10th Anniversary, Wild Heaven’s taproom will be serving specialty brews like Peach Blackbird Saison 10th Anniversary of Avondale Estates, Wiser Blood Double IPA, and Steamboat Cali California Common, alongside its regular lineup of active beers including Sunburst, Emergency Drinking Beer, ATL Easy Ale, Euro-Style Pilsner, and more. In addition to ice-cold beers, sliders, wings, hot dogs, hoagies, Kona Ice shaved ice, and more will be available to complement the festivities. Avondale Estates Celebratory 10th Anniversary commemorative t-shirts and glassware will be available all weekend for purchase. SALUTE WITH A BREW: GUIDE TO MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AT EVENTIDE BREWING

Grant Park’s favorite brewery is honoring its customers and America’s service members by offering a fun-filled calendar of events between May 26-29

Throughout Memorial Day Weekend, Eventide Brewing invites customers to salute with a brew at a variety of events that will delight everyone from the art enthusiast to the comedy fan. If you’re looking for an entertaining and epic holiday weekend, look no further!

Friday, May 26: Comedy Night, hosted by Ian Aber and Shaunak Godkhindi 

Time: Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.

Kick off the weekend and join hosts Ian and Shaunak for the funniest comedy show Grant Park has seen yet. Enjoy your favorite Eventide beer (first one included in the ticket price) while watching a showcase of Atlanta’s top comedians. O Mi Ga Vietnamese Kitchen will serve up the vittles. Saturday, May 27: Pottery + Pints 

Time: 2 to 6 p.m. 

Cost: FREE (Register here)

Paint the pottery red, white and blue – or whatever colors you choose during Saturday’s Pottery + Pints, hosted by Grit Ceramic Studio. Delve into your creative side by adorning Grit’s handmade pottery with any hue or design you imagine. Buttered Bourbon will perform a live set, adding some inspiration as you paint; and Illegal Food will be popping up with the noms. All pottery and seating is first come, first serve. 

Sunday, May 28: Artist Market with Sudnat Studios

Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost: FREE 

Spend Memorial Day eve supporting talented, local creators during the Artist Market with Sudnat Studios. While perusing unique artisan items from more than 20 vendors, you can enjoy a cold one and check out Mascogo Tacos’ yummy offerings while listening to live music from Alex Cavanaugh. 

Monday, May 29: Industry Night Drink Special

Time: 4 to 10 p.m. Cost: $13

From 4 to 9 p.m. on Memorial Day, all are welcome to wind down their weekend on Eventide’s spacious patio with the Industry Night drink special: enjoy four 10-oz. pours of any of the various brews on draft, including Coorsweiser Genuine Draft, for $13. Or pick up a to-go six pack to end the long weekend at home.
