CELEBRATE SPOOKY SEASON WITH HALCYON’S OCTOBER EVENTS LINE-UP

Forsyth County’s premier mixed-use village invites the community 

to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Head to Halcyon in October for an exciting line-up of events. Kick off the month enjoying live music every weekend at Groovin’ on the Green and during the Fall Sunday Music Series; get your sweat on with the final Farm Animal Yoga of the year; go trick-or-treating with your little ones; get competitive at Family Bingo and have fun with your gals at Witches Night Out.

The full October events schedule is outlined below:

Groovin’ on the Green

Fridays and Saturdays in October from 6 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate the weekend by dancing and singing along to live musical performances on the Village Green. On the last Saturday of each month, Cherry Street Brewpub will host live music on its patio adjacent to the Village Green. Guests can treat themselves to a craft brew and groove to live music playing all around the village! Halcyon has an open container policy, however outside food or beverages are prohibited. Fall Sunday Music Series

Sundays in October from 1-4 p.m.

Sunday afternoons at Halcyon just got better! Relax on the green with your favorite drink and listen to great music every Sunday this fall from 1-4 p.m. Follow Halcyon on Instagram and Facebook to know who will be performing each Sunday. For more information, visit the Halcyon Facebook event page.

Family Bingo

Sundays in October from 4-6 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for Family Bingo every Sunday from 4- 6 p.m. outside of Market Hall. This event is free, and you’ll have a chance to win small gift cards from our retailers and restaurants. All ages are invited to attend. While outside food or drink is strictly prohibited, dining is available at one of Halcyon’s Market Hall or full-service restaurants before, during or after bingo. Halcyon highly recommends pre-registering. If the event is full, you may stop by around 4 p.m. to see if walk-ups are available. Halcyon posts the link each Tuesday for the following Sunday. Halcyon Kids Club

Wednesdays through October from 10 a.m. – noon

Preschoolers are invited to play and make new friends at Halcyon’s free Kids Club! Enjoy rotating activities each week ranging from arts and crafts, dance, animal encounters, story time, puppet shows, music and so much more. Themes and activities vary each week and will be announced on Halcyon’s Facebook page and Instagram stories. A parent or guardian is required to stay with each child during the event. Season Finale: Farm Animal Yoga

Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m.

Mooove on over to Halcyon for Farm Animal Yoga, featuring live animals from North Georgia Wildlife Park! Treat your mind and body to a relaxing session of yoga appropriate for all skill levels, accompanied by adorable furry friends. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and are welcome to pause and take photos with the animals during the session. Spooky Street Kid’s Craft

Sunday October 13 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Bring the whole family to Cherry Street Brewpub for a morning filled with spooky fun! There will be a craft station where kids can conjure up their own Halloween masterpieces while you enjoy brunch in the Brewhouse. There will be two time slots: 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. To reserve your spot, just send an email to: chelsea@cherrystreetbrewing.com. Spooky Street Sip and Paint

Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Join Cherry Street Brewpub for a spook-tacular Sip and Paint night at Halcyon, where creativity meets eerie fun! Embrace the Halloween spirit as you craft your own ghoulishly inspired masterpiece while sipping on our seasonal brews and potions (beer and craft cocktails). With a lively 21+ only atmosphere, themed decorations, and expert guidance, it’s the perfect blend of artistry and frightful festivities. 

Tickets include a reserved seat in the Spooky Street Brewhouse, one spooky signature cocktail, all necessary supplies, guided instruction to create your own monsterpiece and gratuity and tax. If you and your party are purchasing tickets separately, please add their name(s) in the order notes to be seated together. This event is 21+ only. Witches Night Out

Thursday, October 24 from 6-10 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for an incredible night of fun at the annual Halloween Ladies Night Out! Tickets include  your first Black Magic Margarita or mocktail at HOBNOB for free (drink tickets will be provided at check-in), music and dancing in the Green, a costume contest with prizes for best groups and individuals (you can dress as a witch or in any costume you want!), live music and dancing at Eclipse di Luna and a DJ and dancing at HOBNOB High Up. There will also be Halloween-themed cocktails at our restaurants featuring Tito’s, Birdie’s photo booth camper with free take-home photos, discounts and specials at Halcyon retailers and pop-ups, games, and giveaways. Halloween at Halcyon

Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for the 5th annual Trick or Treating event! Activities will include trick-or-treating at over 30 participating Halcyon businesses, petting and grooming farm animals from the North Georgia Zoo, a meet-and-greet with Barbie and Spiderman, face painting and balloon twisting, a DJ on the Green, Halloween cotton candy and a make-your-own flower bouquet pop-up. There are also many fall and Halloween photo spots around Halcyon, so bring your camera to capture the day.

Registration is required and families can sign up for an 11 am or 1 p.m. trick-or-treat entry time. Tickets are $20 per child. Infants under the age of one and adults who won’t be trick or treating or participating in any activities will not need a ticket. Trick-or-treaters will receive wristbands for trick-or-treating and exclusive access to all activities. 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Bald Ridge Lodge to change lives and launch new futures for the young men in their care.

This event will sell out prior to the event date, and no walk-ups can be accommodated. This is a rain or shine event and there will be no refunds. For more information, visit the Halcyon Facebook event page.

Spooky Street Horror Movie Trivia

Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Do you consider yourself a horror movie aficionado? Are you the ultimate scream queen or king? Put your knowledge to the test and join Cherry Street Brewpub for a night of thrilling trivia. You’ll be quizzed  on all things horror, from classic slasher films to supernatural thrillers. Trivia will start at 7:30 pm in our Spooky Street Brewhouse, hosted by the incredible A&G Productions. Reservations are first come, first served for Horror Movie Trivia. If you can no longer attend, please let Cherry Street know so they can make other arrangements. This event is 21+ only. Enjoy Atlanta Art Week, Breast Cancer Awareness events, Halloween festivities and more

Fall is in the air at The Works, bringing a crisp lineup of events to enjoy all month long! Start October off strong celebrating visual arts with Atlanta Art Week’s two exhibitions, featuring a variety of artists, collectors and art enthusiasts. Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Adelina Social Goods’ Candles + Cocktails for a Cure Workshop, and show off your pink at Chattahoochee Food Works’ 2nd annual Pink Pumpkin Party. Don’t miss your chance to help shelter pets find the homes they need while our guests enjoy shopping for all the latest pet gear and must-haves in support of the animals. There’ll be a doggy Halloween costume contest, hosted by local actor & comedian Karen Ceesay. Bring your furry best friend to participate! Saturday, October 12: MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER ATLANTA

Join 8,000+ participants, including survivors, families, and supporters, as they walk together to honor those affected by breast cancer while raising funds to help the American Cancer Society in its mission to fight the disease. Join one of Atlanta’s most popular running and walking events. Dash participants will sprint through Atlantic Station with an exciting finish. Upon completion of the youth event, participants and families can make their way into number pickup to shop for merch and grab bibs for the 10 Mile and 5K distance. The superstar of brunch is Atlantic Station’s main attraction. Hosted by Atlanta Wine Festivals, the Atlanta Mimosa Festival will put this boozy, juicy staple front and center, offering flavors including orange mango and pineapple, along with bellinis, wine, beer, and, of course, Bloody Marys (and more!). Things are getting spooky at Halcyon with a host of fall and Halloween-themed events throughout October! With live music on Village Green every weekend, the annual Witches Night Out benefitting All For One Foundation, Halcyon Kids Club and trick-or-treating at Halcyon, the fall season has finally arrived. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy throughout October at Halcyon.

  • College Football & Professional Football Game Watch Parties – The thrills of football are back on the field and available to watch at all the venues right inside Live! at the Battery Atlanta with the ultimate football experience! From one of the biggest screens in the Southeast inside Sports and Social Atlanta to VIP booth experiences and Bull Riding inside of PBR, the liveliest atmosphere in all of Atlanta starts here.   • NFC Fight Night (Friday, Dec. 8, 7pm-midnight) – Live! at the Battery is hosting their second National Fighting Championship (NFC) event this winter. The adrenaline-filled night will feature live professional and amateur MMA and Muay Thai fights. Fight attendees will have the chance to be a part of the non-stop action during 12+ Fights in the NFC cage at one of the most exciting and new environments for watching live fights. The Battery Atlanta welcomes spooky season lovers of all ages to explore the best of Cobb County’s work-live-play destination. This October, in addition to Halloween-filled happenings, guests can indulge all month long in Totcho Tuesdays at Terrapin Taproom and Wine Down Wednesdays at BURN as well as fitness-focused activities like Yoga by Kaiser Permanente or a fresh fall walk on The Battery Atlanta Walking Trail presented by United Healthcare. Guests will also discover a wide variety of live performances at Park Bench and the Coca Cola Roxy.

Fright Night Halloween at Sports and Social
Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.
Thrill-seekers are invited to discover the haunted cemetery-themed party people are dying to get in to! Attendees can expect live music, drink specials and a costume contest with $7,500 in cash prizes. Tickets for the event are $20 and include admission and one drink ticket. Xfinity Fall Movie Series

Hoots N Howls: Halloween Dog Costume Contest

Happy Howl-o-ween! Four-legged friends and their pet parents are invited to join in on the Halloween fun this year at The Battery Atlanta! In addition to live music and various vendors, guests can dress their fur babies in their best costume for a chance to win this year’s Halloween Dog Costume Contest! A $5 entry fee is required for each dog with all proceeds benefitting animal rescue organizations.

Oct. 2 from 9-11 a.m.
The Battery Atlanta and the American Heart Associate welcome families and friends to get moving in this year’s Greater Atlanta Heart Walk! The event will partake both in-person and remotely to promote a healthy lifestyle and raise critical funds for the American Heart Association. Participants can register for the event online.

Yoga by Kaiser Permanente
Mondays (excluding home gamedays) from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Start the week off stress-free with a limited capacity, outdoor yoga class presented by Kaiser Permanente on non-event days at the Plaza Green. The Battery Atlanta kicks off the cooler weather season with the ultimate fan experience and must-attend restaurant and retailer events. October will be packed with outdoor activities and fan-favorite experiences, including the return of the fall cornhole league in addition to sporting experiences at Mizuno Experience Center and Good Game powered by Topgolf Swing Suite. Visitors are sure to catch the tailgating experience at the lifestyle hub, as baseball and football season continue. Metro-area residents can get outside and breathe in the newfound fall air, enjoy alfresco dining with live music, walk the 1.5-mile loop or learn beginner yoga poses on the Plaza Green. Terrapin Taproom, Yard House and Taps at PH’EAST allow visitors to celebrate Oktoberfest with a 2020 twist, all boasting large selections of classic craft brews and rotating taps on draft, all month long!

Wellness Series: Yoga by Kaiser Permanente
Every Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Start the week off stress-free with an outdoor yoga class presented by Kaiser Permanente on non-event days at the Plaza Green. This free event is limited to 75 people. Registration and the event participant waiver are available online. A live stream on Facebook and recorded sessions on YouTube are also available to fitness fans on event days for a free virtual class.

The Battery Atlanta Walking Trail presented by UnitedHealthcare
A brisk walk can curb cravings, reduce stress and offer a healthy way to catch up with friends and family! Get out and get active on the 1.5-mile loop circling the campus.

Cornhole ATL Fall League
Every Tuesday at 6:45-9 p.m.
A tailgate favorite is now a league of its own! Spectators are encouraged to watch the action and cheer on league participants as they play games leading up to the season’s final tournament on Oct. 20. League winners will receive a championship trophy and other prizes.
