CELEBRATE OKTOBERFEST AT RED’S BEER GARDEN

Beer and Food Specials, Live Polka, Das Boot Beer Chug, and More

 Brews, bratwursts and lederhosen; it’s that time of the year! From Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd, Red’s Beer Garden will be filling steins and stomachs in honor of Oktoberfest. Plenty of Märzens will be available in Red’s self-serve coolers along with Oktoberfest Märzens on draft from Ayinger Brewery and Round Trip Brewery Company. In addition to the full menu of hot dogs, sandwiches, and shareables, the three-day celebration will feature a must-try special, Fripper’s Chedderwurst sausages with spicy mustard and pretzel bites with beer cheese. For revelers ready to party, live polka on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Das Boot Beer Chug at 6 p.m. in the expansive, dog-friendly beer garden will be the place to be. Nine contestants brave enough to accept the Das Boot Beer Chug challenge will compete to beat Ed Sumpter, co-owner of Red’s and self-proclaimed boot chugging legend. For ages 21 and up, the $15 entry fee will include a liter boot for contestants to take home and a liter of Round Trip’s Oktoberfest. The first place winner will earn bragging rights and receive a $100 gift card to Round Trip Brewing. PROST! CELEBRATE OKTOBERFEST AT EVENTIDE BREWING

Enjoy German beer, hearty fare, games and live entertainment at Grant Park’s favorite brewery 

Noon – 9pm

Dust off your dirndl or lederhosen, and head to Eventide Brewing for Atlanta’s most popular Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 1! 

Grant Park’s favorite neighborhood brewery will have six varieties of German beer on draft, including its Dammerung pilsner and Citrus Grove hefeweizen. The celebration will also see the return of Eventide’s popular Red Headed Haley, an amber ale.   

In addition to delicious German beer, there will be plenty of authentic, mouthwatering fare, including savory meat pies from Coffyn Pyes and charcoal-grilled hot dogs and German brats from Hot Dog Pete’s.  

The day’s festivities will include a beer stein holding competition, where the champion will win $100 bar cash, as well as a best lederhosen and dirndl contest. Additionally, attendees will enjoy games such as a pretzel toss, balloon bust and more. 

Finally, there will be live music throughout the day as well as a DJ to cap off the festivities. 

Eventide Brewing’s Oktoberfest is a ticketed event with three available options, including a limited number of VIP-level tickets that come with an Eventide beer stein, unlimited draft beer and a commemorative Eventide t-shirt.

Be on Your Wurst Behavior at Red’s Beer Garden’s Oktoberfest

September 21 – October 3

Prost! It’s that time of year again. Between September 21st and October 3rd, Red’s Beer Garden is hosting two weeks of food and craft beer specials in honor of Oktoberfest.  Get into the fall feeling by pairing their limited-edition Oktoberfest hash and German potato salad with Märzen craft brews from Ayinger Brewery, Halfway Crooks Beer, Bold Monk, Arches Brewing, Jack’s Abby, Printer’s Ale Manufacturing Co., and Dry Country Brewing Co.  All the Oktoberfest offerings will be available in Red’s expansive grab-and-go coolers or on draft.  Red’s will also be hosting a Märzen Beer Tasting and Class on Friday, September 24th that’s only $15 per person.  The following Friday, October 1st, an Oktoberfest-themed, adult spelling bee and Line Creek Brewing Co. tap takeover will commence at 7 p.m. Registration is $10 and includes a Line Creek pint glass. The winner will receive a Line Creek bag o’ swag, beer tickets for the brewery, and bragging rights. Masks are required indoors or when not eating and/or drinking at a table.

Hop on down to Eventide Saturday, October 2, for an un-beer-lievable Oktoberfest celebration! 

Now in its third year, the event promises to be bigger than ever with seven varieties of German beer on tap, including its flagship Kolsch-style ale, Citrus Grove Hefeweizen and Dämmerung Pilsner. Additionally, Eventide’s special Oktoberfest Festbier, a malty traditional German Marzen, is back again on draft and available in to-go six packs.

The day’s festivities will include a beer stein holding competition, where the champion will win a $100 gift certificate, as well as a best lederhosen contest. Additionally, attendees can buy raffle tickets for a chance to win free beer for a year!

There will also be plenty of delicious food for sale, including hot dogs and sandwiches from Red’s Beer Garden and savory, authentic hand pies from Coffyn Pyes.

Brewery’s 16-Day Annual Celebration Returns for Fourth Year This September

Fourth Annual Tucktoberfest™: Tucker Brewing Company, a brewery located in Tucker, Ga., will host its fourth annual Tucktoberfest™ celebration where guests can enjoy German traditions mixed with Southern hospitality. During this European takeover, the beloved brewery and beer garden, recently named one of USA TODAY’s 10Best Beer Gardens in America, will be decked out in all things Oktoberfest, from authentic German attire for the staff to steins replacing all barware. Guests can expect to enjoy activities such as a classic stein holding competition, a wiener toss, cornhole, and more, along with live music.

Guests can enjoy authentic German fare from Executive Chef Nicole Fey and German-inspired brews, including the famous Tucktoberfest™ Märzen Lager from Head Brewmaster Tucker Eagleson. Featured last year were menu items including a German-style charcuterie board with Patak family bratwurst, knockwurst, and kielbasa, sweet potato pancakes, Tucktoberfest™ fries, a crispy pork shank, pretzel lobster roll, apple strudel cheesecake and more, and attendees can look forward to fresh new offerings at this year’s event.

Celebrate Oktoberfest With Wild Heaven: 

It’s time to break out the lederhosen and dirndls and raise a stein in honor of Wild Heaven’s Oktoberfest Weekend! Beginning Thursday, September 24, 2020, until Sunday, September 27, 2020, revelers can celebrate the frothy tradition with special German-themed menus and a new craft beer release at both Wild Heaven West End and Avondale locations.  Created by acclaimed Brewmaster Eric Johnson, beer lovers are invited to sip on Old Country 80 Shilling Fall Ale and popular Fest Beer in 1 Liter servings. The Avondale location will be offering German-inspired pairings by Chef Shay Lavi, including Roasted Chicken in a bun, Schweinebraten Pork Roast, Schweinshaxe, a roasted ham hock in a bun, Würstl, sausages in a bun, Brezen pretzels, and Käsespätzle cheese noodles. Available at the West End location, Chef Donte will be serving up specialty bites, along with an outdoor food fest with guest chefs Terry Koval and Rusty Bowers, who will be firing up the Big Green Egg on Saturday, September 26th. Starting on Wednesday September 16th through Sunday the 27th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., diners can enjoy local Flipper’s German style Cheddarwurst sausages, pretzels, and a house-made beer cheese dip.  Guests can also wash down Oktoberfest specials with a selection of Oktoberfest Märzens in bottles from their self-serve cooler and brews on draft. Beginning Friday, September 18th, join Dantanna’s in Buckhead for Oktoberfest festivities. Revelers can enjoy a German-themed menu created by Executive Chef Brad Parker while dining in, on the patio, or celebrating at home. An ideal starter, the fresh pretzel Brezen with Obatzda spiced cheese-butter spread is not to be missed. Serving dishes including Bratwursts sausages cooked with mustard and sauerkraut, Schweinebraten roasted pork with pan gravy, and Schnitzel, Dantanna’s Oktoberfest menu has a bevy of German-inspired dishes for all tastes.
