Three Parties, Great Eats, Anniversary Collaboration Beer Release, Giveaways and More

Festivities Kick Off on Monday, January 30, 2023

Good things come in threes so Ed and Kristen “Red” Sumpter, founders of Red’s Beer Garden, are celebrating the third anniversary of their local haunt with three beer-infused birthday parties and the release of a special anniversary collaboration beer with Elsewhere Brewing.

On Monday, January 30th, the festivities will kick off with an all-you-can-eat Three-Year Anniversary Dinner featuring a “mini snack attack” menu. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., party goers can dig into a miniaturized assortment of Red’s favorites including crostinis, pulled pork sliders, smoked lemon pepper wet chicken wings, chicken salad bites, corn puppies, avocado crostinis, mini cupcakes, and pretzel bites with a (wait for it…) beer cheese fountain. Tickets are $55 per person and include a mini snack attack, an anniversary beer glass, and a 23 oz pour of BFFs: Beer Friends Forever, Red’s anniversary collaboration beer with Elsewhere Brewing. Tickets are for ages 21 and up and must be purchased in advance at www.redsbeergarden.com

Next up is Red’s Three-Year Bottle Share on Friday, February 3rd from 6 to 9 p.m. For $40 per person, beer lovers will be able to sample six to eight rare brews including sour, dark and Belgian offerings handpicked by go-to beer aficionado Kristen “Red” Sumpter. Guests can also talk it up with the experts from Liberator Distributing and get the latest scoop on all things beer in 2023. For the full bottle list and to purchase tickets (ages 21 and up), visit www.redsbeergarden.com

Finally, revelers of all ages are invited to join the fun at Red’s Three-Year Anniversary Birthday Bash on Saturday, February 4th from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The free event will takeover their dinning room and expansive, dog-friendly beer garden and marks the official rollout of BFFs: Beer Friends Forever to the public. Available on draft and in cans, the Belgian-style witbier beer is the perfect companion to Red’s expansive hot dog offerings, hearty sandwiches, snacks and sharables. As always, Kristen and Ed will have an impressive local draft list, special bottles and cans, kombuchas, seltzers, wine and more. Each beer purchase comes with a raffle ticket that enters guests to win a variety of prizes, including gift cards, beers, and merchandise. Winners will be announced every hour, on the hour, and must be present to claim their reward.

  • Saturday January 15th, 4 p.m.
  • Thursday February 24th, 7 p.m.

LAGERS
Not all lagers are pale, so there will be a range of flavor profiles including malty and roasty to crispy and clean. Red will share her expertise on how lagers came about and how they’ve changed throughout the past few centuries.
  • Thursday January 20th, 7 p.m.
  • Saturday February 26th, 4 p.m.

NON-BEER
Sometimes people are in the mood for something that isn’t a beer, and Red has her guests covered. Samples will include still mead, carbonated mead, hard kombucha, and two versions of dry cider.
  • Saturday January 22nd, 4 p.m.
  • Saturday February 19th, 4 p.m.

OLD WORLD BEER
It’s fun to find historical beers from Europe that can be discovered in Red’s grab-and-go coolers. She will chat about the history of these beers, who historically brewed them (women!), how ales and lagers came about, and what makes these brews so special to the world of beer.
  • Saturday February 5th, 4 p.m.

BELGIAN BEER
While not being biased at all…Red believes these are the best beer styles in the world. All samples will come straight from Belgium breweries, with two being Trappist. Hear from the ultimate Belgian beer lover herself about the history of the styles and what makes a Trappist ale so unique.
