CELEBRATE SPOOKY SEASON WITH HALCYON’S OCTOBER EVENTS LINE-UP

Forsyth County’s premier mixed-use village invites the community 

to play, shop, dine and experience what’s new

Head to Halcyon in October for an exciting line-up of events. Kick off the month enjoying live music every weekend at Groovin’ on the Green and during the Fall Sunday Music Series; get your sweat on with the final Farm Animal Yoga of the year; go trick-or-treating with your little ones; get competitive at Family Bingo and have fun with your gals at Witches Night Out.

The full October events schedule is outlined below:

Groovin’ on the Green

Fridays and Saturdays in October from 6 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate the weekend by dancing and singing along to live musical performances on the Village Green. On the last Saturday of each month, Cherry Street Brewpub will host live music on its patio adjacent to the Village Green. Guests can treat themselves to a craft brew and groove to live music playing all around the village! Halcyon has an open container policy, however outside food or beverages are prohibited. Fall Sunday Music Series

Sundays in October from 1-4 p.m.

Sunday afternoons at Halcyon just got better! Relax on the green with your favorite drink and listen to great music every Sunday this fall from 1-4 p.m. Follow Halcyon on Instagram and Facebook to know who will be performing each Sunday. For more information, visit the Halcyon Facebook event page.

Family Bingo

Sundays in October from 4-6 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for Family Bingo every Sunday from 4- 6 p.m. outside of Market Hall. This event is free, and you’ll have a chance to win small gift cards from our retailers and restaurants. All ages are invited to attend. While outside food or drink is strictly prohibited, dining is available at one of Halcyon’s Market Hall or full-service restaurants before, during or after bingo. Halcyon highly recommends pre-registering. If the event is full, you may stop by around 4 p.m. to see if walk-ups are available. Halcyon posts the link each Tuesday for the following Sunday. Halcyon Kids Club

Wednesdays through October from 10 a.m. – noon

Preschoolers are invited to play and make new friends at Halcyon’s free Kids Club! Enjoy rotating activities each week ranging from arts and crafts, dance, animal encounters, story time, puppet shows, music and so much more. Themes and activities vary each week and will be announced on Halcyon’s Facebook page and Instagram stories. A parent or guardian is required to stay with each child during the event. Season Finale: Farm Animal Yoga

Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m.

Mooove on over to Halcyon for Farm Animal Yoga, featuring live animals from North Georgia Wildlife Park! Treat your mind and body to a relaxing session of yoga appropriate for all skill levels, accompanied by adorable furry friends. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and are welcome to pause and take photos with the animals during the session. Spooky Street Kid’s Craft

Sunday October 13 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Bring the whole family to Cherry Street Brewpub for a morning filled with spooky fun! There will be a craft station where kids can conjure up their own Halloween masterpieces while you enjoy brunch in the Brewhouse. There will be two time slots: 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. To reserve your spot, just send an email to: chelsea@cherrystreetbrewing.com. Spooky Street Sip and Paint

Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Join Cherry Street Brewpub for a spook-tacular Sip and Paint night at Halcyon, where creativity meets eerie fun! Embrace the Halloween spirit as you craft your own ghoulishly inspired masterpiece while sipping on our seasonal brews and potions (beer and craft cocktails). With a lively 21+ only atmosphere, themed decorations, and expert guidance, it’s the perfect blend of artistry and frightful festivities. 

Tickets include a reserved seat in the Spooky Street Brewhouse, one spooky signature cocktail, all necessary supplies, guided instruction to create your own monsterpiece and gratuity and tax. If you and your party are purchasing tickets separately, please add their name(s) in the order notes to be seated together. This event is 21+ only. Witches Night Out

Thursday, October 24 from 6-10 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for an incredible night of fun at the annual Halloween Ladies Night Out! Tickets include  your first Black Magic Margarita or mocktail at HOBNOB for free (drink tickets will be provided at check-in), music and dancing in the Green, a costume contest with prizes for best groups and individuals (you can dress as a witch or in any costume you want!), live music and dancing at Eclipse di Luna and a DJ and dancing at HOBNOB High Up. There will also be Halloween-themed cocktails at our restaurants featuring Tito’s, Birdie’s photo booth camper with free take-home photos, discounts and specials at Halcyon retailers and pop-ups, games, and giveaways. Halloween at Halcyon

Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Head to Halcyon for the 5th annual Trick or Treating event! Activities will include trick-or-treating at over 30 participating Halcyon businesses, petting and grooming farm animals from the North Georgia Zoo, a meet-and-greet with Barbie and Spiderman, face painting and balloon twisting, a DJ on the Green, Halloween cotton candy and a make-your-own flower bouquet pop-up. There are also many fall and Halloween photo spots around Halcyon, so bring your camera to capture the day.

Registration is required and families can sign up for an 11 am or 1 p.m. trick-or-treat entry time. Tickets are $20 per child. Infants under the age of one and adults who won’t be trick or treating or participating in any activities will not need a ticket. Trick-or-treaters will receive wristbands for trick-or-treating and exclusive access to all activities. 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Bald Ridge Lodge to change lives and launch new futures for the young men in their care.

This event will sell out prior to the event date, and no walk-ups can be accommodated. This is a rain or shine event and there will be no refunds. For more information, visit the Halcyon Facebook event page.

Spooky Street Horror Movie Trivia

Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Do you consider yourself a horror movie aficionado? Are you the ultimate scream queen or king? Put your knowledge to the test and join Cherry Street Brewpub for a night of thrilling trivia. You’ll be quizzed  on all things horror, from classic slasher films to supernatural thrillers. Trivia will start at 7:30 pm in our Spooky Street Brewhouse, hosted by the incredible A&G Productions. Reservations are first come, first served for Horror Movie Trivia. If you can no longer attend, please let Cherry Street know so they can make other arrangements. This event is 21+ only. With autumn just around the corner, Callaway Resort & Gardens announced today it is already readying for the return of the popular family-friendly and non-spooky fall experience Pumpkins at Callaway – Gardens by Day, Glow by Night (select dates Sept. 14 – Nov.2) featuring thousands of plump pumpkins, colorful characters, towering cornstalks, golden sunflowers, and twinkling lights. This year, the harvest-time fun returns with new daytime and nighttime attractions and activities, including:

HARVEST SKY at Cason’s Corn Maze — hundreds of golden streamers glisten in the autumn sky in this stunning art installation, adding flair and color overhead along a 100-foot pathway.

PUMPKIN KIDS PARADE – A new nightly parade for children of all ages around the towering Pumpkin Tree at Robin Lake Plaza.

Family-friendly, non-offensive, non-violent costumes are allowed within the guidelines below. Failure to not adhere to these guidelines may result in entry refusal or a request to remove the costume.

For Guests ages 13 and under:
Costumes and some costume masks may be worn; masks must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times, including openings so eyes can fully be seen.

For Guests 14 Years of Age or Older:
Masks that cover the face are not allowed.
Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects, or materials that may accidentally harm another visitor.
Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts, and hats are acceptable.
