Join the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces as they celebrate the return of the Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The two-day festival will once again be held in Historic Fourth Ward Park which is conveniently located along the bustling Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. Festival goers are invited to explore painting, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, woodwork and handcrafted items. The festival also features live DJs courtesy of Captains of Revelry, food vendors, drinks, a children’s area, art demonstrations, games, and more. BUCKHEAD VILLAGE NEIGHBORHOOD CELEBRATES SPRING WITH A FLORAL EXPLOSION AT 2ND ANNUAL BODACIOUS BLOOMS FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS APRIL 27 – APRIL 30

Welcoming spring with open arms, the flower fête of the season is back in Buckhead Village with the second annual show-stopping Bodacious Blooms Flower Festival, running Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, April 30. Stacked with flower power from featured florists East Olivia, New York-based dried and preserved flower shop, and Canaan Marshall, renowned Atlanta-based florist of HBO Max’s “Full Bloom,” the community-wide festival invites visitors to join a “1970’s chic” inspired weekend of far-out floral installations, hands-on floral workshops from master floral designers, stellar in-store activations, exclusive promotions and funky photo-ready moments – all vibrantly designed to celebrate spring in style. 

To celebrate, Jamestown’s Buckhead Village is joining forces with neighboring properties including Andrews Square, Buckhead Commons, Shops Around Lenox, St. Regis Atlanta, Livable Buckhead, 99 West Paces, Atlanta History Center, Sylvan Kimpton Hotel, Path 400, Resurgens Plaza and Buckhead Tower, to create a walkable weekend complete with a budding line-up of ticketed events, open-to-the-public floral displays and over-the-top installations across all properties. 

Bodacious Blooms will feature a retro mural from Dazy LA by designer Dani Dazey. The artwork will complement the chic, dazzling floral installation by East Olivia filled with vibrant colors, shimmering lights and whimsical flowers.

“Team East Olivia is thrilled to bring our dynamic, colorful take on florals to Buckhead Village and are even more excited to be collaborating with long time friend Dani of Dazey LA on a neighboring mural that will coordinate with our gorgeous florals,” said Kelsea Olivia, CEO & Creative Director of East Olivia.

Buckhead Village will host live music, themed activations, in-store promotions from retailers including diptyque, Frances Valentine, Abbey Glass, Sarah Flint, Etro, B.M. Franklin & Co., Theory and more, celebratory beverages from dining destinations like Le Colonial, Saint Germain and Shake Shack and of course, various complementary floral stops along the way.

Thursday, April 27, 6-8pm 

An evening with flowers and friends, Buckhead Village will host a grand unveiling and exclusive first-look at all of the far-out floral installations throughout the property. Guests will enjoy canapés from Saint Germain and live music by Tune Union, and models will flaunt floral headdresses of preserved flowers by East Olivia alongside the latest fashions from shops around the neighborhood including Frances Valentine, Abbey Glass and Sarah Flint. The event will take place in the beautiful, weather-protected, open-air area of The Veranda – located at the corner of Bolling Way and Buckhead Avenue across from Le Bilboquet. Friday, April 28, 11:30am-1:30pm

Top floral designer Canaan Marshall will be leading an intimate, hands-on floral arrangement class. As seen on HBO Max’s Full Bloom (S2), Canaan describes this experience as a fantastic introduction for those who are interested in creating a breath-taking arrangement for their own home, or anyone who would like to learn to use everyday floral elements to enhance their next get together. Tickets are $200 per person, and guests will be provided with florals, a vessel and all of the necessary supplies to design a beautiful centerpiece to bring home. The class will be held in The Veranda, and boxed lunches and refreshments will be provided by Saint Germain Bakery.

  • Children’s Chalk Art on Path400

Friday, April 28, 3-6pm

In preparation for Livable Buckhead’s annual 5K, kids can express their inner creativity and celebrate spring by decorating PATH400 with chalk art flowers. Chalk is provided and all ages and skill levels are welcome. This event will take place at PATH400 Peachtree Park Entrance (3399 Peachtree Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30305). See here for more information.

ATL Girl Gang will curate an outdoor, botanical-themed vendor market uplifting women-owned businesses, including a pop-up from NY-based florist East Olivia. Guests can enjoy a floral truck, vintage photo booth, flower-crown making stations, and yard games. 

  • Livable Buckhead 5k “buckheadRUN!”

Saturday, April 29, 7-9:30am

Livable Buckhead encourages runners of all ages and abilities – and their four-legged friends – to join the buckheadRUN! 5K. In addition to awards for the fastest runners in various age groups, buckheadRUN! includes a “Fastest Fido” category, bandana giveaways for dogs, a pre-race hype event and post-race celebration. Runners are also encouraged to celebrate spring by dressing in flower-themed costumes and garb. Livable Buckhead will award prizes for the best flower costumes. Race packet swag bags will include gifts from Barry’s Bootcamp, Highland Yoga, The Daily and Shake Shack. Race and registration details are available at livablebuckhead.org/run.

Atlanta Spring Wine Festival

Come sip on 50+ wines, beer, hard seltzers and more. Plus, live music with Davis & the Love, DJ Q-Tip. Tickets include entry, entertainment, souvenir acrylic wine glass, and all alcohol samples.

Cost: $45 in advance; $50 after April 6; $60 day of event, unless sold out. Tickets HERE.

PCM Goes Inside Out – a Festive Series Bringing the Best of PCM Outside – Returns Saturday, April 3

Plus, Ponce City Farmers Market Opens for the Season on March 24, RoleCall Theater Presents High School Musical Theater Showcase this April & May, & More

Ponce City Market announces upcoming happenings taking place throughout the spring. Amid COVID-19, Ponce City Market is adhering to health and safety guidelines, including requiring guests to wear facemasks in the Central Food Hall; requiring property staff to wear face coverings at all times; providing social distancing signage and hand sanitizer throughout the property; and cleaning and sanitizing the property regularly.

PCM Goes Inside Out (Every Other Saturday Beginning April 3, Starting at Noon) – With warmer weather upon us, PCM Goes Inside Out is back! Kicking off on Saturday, April 3, the series will bring the best of PCM outdoors every other Saturday through December. Starting at noon, visitors will enjoy a variety of exciting happenings as PCM Goes Inside Out brings favorites to The Courtyard and Yard where guests can safely relax and spend some time enjoying food and drink from PCM restaurants, music, yard games and family fun.

Ponce City Farmers Market (Wednesdays Beginning March 24, 4-8pm) – Honoring Community Farmers Markets’ commitment to farmers, vendors and community, Ponce City Farmers Market (PCFM) will open for the season on Wednesday, March 24 with COVID-19 safety protocols in place, including requiring face masks. The producer-only market will be held from 4-8pm every Wednesday through November at The Shed, the covered outdoor space alongside Ponce City Market’s entrance to the Atlanta BeltLine.

Ponce City Farmers Market offers fresh produce, artisan products, handmade crafts, goods for the home and body, and more from an average of 30 rotating vendors per week. Market-goers can take home organic produce from Cosmos Farm and Partnership Farm, baked goods from Martha’s Boy Bakeshop and Sweet Lola’s, kombucha from Cultured South and Figment Kombucha, natural body care from Vibrational Living, Helena Kai and SugarMelon Handmade Cosmetics, green cleaning supplies from Squeaky Green Cleaning Co and much more. Throughout the season, the market will also feature special events, arts and crafts and visits from goats.

Each vendor accepts credit cards, while some additionally take payments via Venmo, CashApp, PayPal and Apple Pay. SNAP/EBT dollars are accepted at qualifying vendors. Through the Georgia Fresh For Less program, PCFM will also match the dollar amount of any SNAP swiped. When shoppers spend $10 in SNAP, they will get $10 for free to spend on fresh, local fruits and vegetables.

Guests may access the market via the Atlanta BeltLine or from Ponce City Market. Parking on the third floor of Ponce City Market’s parking deck (accessible via the ramp to the right of Pancake Social) is the most convenient access point to the farmer’s market via the BeltLine Tressel.

Start to Finish Art & Home Showcase (April 2, 3-8pm & April 3-4, 2-7pm) – The Print Shop by FreeMarket Gallery will host Start to Finish, an interactive art and home showcase, from April 2-4, 2021 at Ponce City Market. Located at The Plaza, next to The Shed and alongside the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, the collaborative exhibit will feature artwork by Adelaide Tai and the start-to-finish process of creating complex, large-format artwork. Art from Yoyo Ferro, Jonny Warren, Aliya Smith, Angie Jezez, Aesek, Chris Veal and more, plus home furnishings and decor from Ponce City Market shops like SustainAble Home Goods and The Victorian, will also be available for viewing and purchase.

RoleCall Presents The RoleCall High School Musical Theater Showcase (Throughout April & May 2021, Noon & 3pm) – Created to highlight the best young actors and singers in the state of Georgia, The RoleCall High School Musical Showcase will feature shows from five metro Atlanta high school theatre groups, including Buford High School, West Forsyth High School, Lambert High School, Tri-Cities High School and Denmark High School. Each school will perform two distinct outdoor shows at The Amphitheater at Ponce City Market at noon and 3pm. Information on show dates and tickets ($15 per show or $25 for both) can be found here. WITH LOVE – A Solo Art Exhibit by Jeremy Brown at The Plaza (May 1-2, Noon-8pm) – Atlanta-based, contemporary visual artist Jeremy Brown will hold his first solo exhibition in over five years at The Plaza, next to The Shed and alongside the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail. Titled WITH LOVE, the collection will include 30+ new, mixed media works exploring the universal concepts of identity, unity, longing and the pursuit of happiness. Brown’s multilayered set includes his signature use of bold colors, loose brushwork and a dynamic blend of actual and implied textures. His art also includes text lifted directly from his personal notes and journals. WITH LOVE is an expression of Brown’s unique visual language inspired by spirituality, philosophy, music, poetry, fashion and the human experience.

2019 Uncorked Atlanta Wine Festival Spring

About: Join us on Saturday, May 18th for the next edition of Uncorked Atlanta Wine Festival at Historic Old Fourth Ward Splash Pad! From 1:00pm – 5:00pm enjoy complimentary wine and craft beer tastings (over 50 varieties), music performances, and fun wine-themed activations. Tickets run $30-$54 in advance and include souvenir glass, complimentary wine and craft beer tastings, DJ, and music. They’ll be $60 at the door. Food available for purchase.

Duluth Spring Arts Festival 2019

About:  The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces is thrilled to present the third annual Duluth Arts Festival on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  and Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The two-day festival  will be held in the fun, vibrant and culturally diverse City  of Duluth; recognized as one of the fastest growing communities in the North Atlanta region and home to the largest and most enthusiastic art buying communities.  Created for artists by artists, the festival will feature  more than 85 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists,  jewelers and more.  Festival goers will also have the opportunity to view artist demonstrations and enjoy gourmet food trucks with healthy  alternatives, live acoustic music, dance performances and much more. The festival is free to attend, open to all ages and dogs are welcome.
