THE AVENUE WEST COBB ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF ANNUAL SPRING FEST EVENT

Free event to provide local families with memorable experiences to celebrate the spring season 

The Avenue West Cobb today announced the return of its annual Spring Fest event. Taking place from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, this free event will feature a curated selection of seasonal activities and offerings for guests of all ages.

“We’re thrilled to bring back this cherished community tradition with a refreshed approach,” said Danielle Kronlein, marketing manager at The Avenue West Cobb. “Whether stopping by to enjoy live music, sample food and drinks from our on-site vendors or simply take in the seasonal atmosphere, Spring Fest will offer guests unique ways to engage with one another as we embrace the excitement and warmth of the season ahead.”

This year’s Spring Fest theme is “In Bloom,” designed to transform the center into a vibrant gathering hub through seasonal décor, playful moments and hands-on activities.

Families will have the opportunity to capture special holiday memories with complimentary Easter Bunny photos. The event will also feature live music, a petting zoo, roaming characters, a balloon bubble dome experience and a variety of other seasonal surprises. 

Guests can also enjoy face painting and a live balloon artist, as well as other hands-on activities such as decorating biodegradable pots to take home and start a garden, and creating tissue paper flowers. All attendees are encouraged to enjoy sweet treats and seasonal products from a selection of local vendors, including Sweetish Sister and Gussied Up Flower Truck. The first 100 families to arrive will receive a free bouquet, and a check-in table at the center’s entrance will provide guests with a coupon for the bouquet.

THE AVENUE WEST COBB BRINGS THE HEAT WITH “SUMMER VIBES” SERIES OF FREE AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENTS

Community members are invited to tap into their summer spirit by attending activities including a summer social, build-your-own-bouquet bar, backyard BBQ bash, a yoga class and more

The Avenue West Cobb is proud to present Summer Vibes, a season-long series of events to encourage community engagement during the warm weather months. Set to run June 9 through July 27, Summer Vibes will transform the lifestyle center into a lively hub of fun and safe summer activities for all ages.

“We’re thrilled to kick off our Summer Vibes series of events and welcome the community to enjoy sunshine, connection and fun this season,” said Danielle Kronlein, marketing manager of The Avenue West Cobb. “From family-friendly activities to laid-back summer memories to be made, our goal is to create a vibrant space where guests can come together and celebrate the spirit of the summer season.”

Summer Vibes will feature a wide variety of fun activities for people of all ages, including:

Summer Social – Fri., June 13

Kick off the season during the Summer Social from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the Green Space. The event will feature family-friendly activities, including games like flamingo toss; crafts such as rock painting, face painting, and a bubble and coloring station; and treats including a lemonade stand.

International Yoga Day – Sat., June 21

In celebration of International Yoga Day, join the center for a yoga class led by BODYBAR from 11:00 a.m. to noon in the Green Space. Guests will enjoy relaxing yoga poses, nutritious drinks from BLENDED Smoothie & Juice Bar, and a chance to enter a “Yoga Essentials” giveaway featuring items and gift cards to BODYBAR, Natural Body Spa and more to support their health and wellness.

Build Your Own Bouquet – Fri., July 11

Brighten your day with a build-your-own-bouquet event from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Guests can stop by a local flower truck to create custom floral arrangements featuring fresh blooms such as roses, carnations, sunflowers, daisies and more.

Backyard BBQ Bash – Sat., July 26

Soak up the sun and summer fun during the Backyard BBQ Bash from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the center’s Green Space. The event will feature entertainment, games such as giant Jenga, tic-tac-toe and cornhole, a picnic, catering from The Avenue West Cobb restaurant tenants like Le’ZiaJim’N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q and The Peach Cobbler Factory, and a chance to enter a “Picnic Essentials” giveaway featuring a picnic blanket, grilling items and more.

THE AVENUE WEST COBB MARKS THE END OF SUMMER WITH CHRISTMAS IN JULY, ART AT THE AVENUE, TOUCH-A-TRUCK AND MORE

The center signs off on summer with a jam-packed free event lineup from now until September

The Avenue West Cobb is wrapping up the summer season with a fantastic line-up of free, family-friendly events open to the public happening now through September.

“We have a packed schedule of activities for the entire family to enjoy the remainder of the summer season,” says Alondra Moya, marketing manager for The Avenue West Cobb. “From art installations and trivia nights to summer parties and donation drives, we are thrilled to invite the community to our events at The Avenue West Cobb as we say goodbye to summer in a big way!”

The Avenue West Cobb has partnered with the South Cobb Arts Alliance (SCAA) for Art at the Avenue, which includes a National Juried Art Exhibit open Friday-Saturdays from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon- 5 p.m. — now through August 4.  In addition, the center will host a series of activities and performances from local artists and students showcasing their talents to the community. The schedule is as follows: 

  • Art in Action at the Avenue  – July 27 at1 p.m.

A live art demonstration by SCAA Artist Bryan Jeppson.

  • Georgia Ballet Performance –  July 28 at 1 p.m.
  • Author Book Reading + More – July 28 at 2 p.m.

Joanne Telcide-Bryant, author of I’m Just Dying to be Queen Bee, will read aloud to shoppers and guests. Following the book reading, guests can participate in interactive learning activities including children’s book art illustrations, a science of honeybees and bee hive demonstration from local honey producer Home Town Honey and a free first come-first serve art class by an SCAA student artist for all ages.

More End-of-Summer Events and Activities:

  • Christmas in July – July 25 from 5-8:30 p.m.

Beat the summer heat with a delightful photo opportunity alongside Hawaiian Santa. Additional activities and entertainment includes balloonists, face painting, live DJ, sandman competition and a bounce house.

  • Harry Potter Birthday Party – July 31 from 4-5 p.m.

Located in Barnes and Noble, guests can enjoy Harry Potter themed trivia, games, readings and birthday cake.

  • Summer Foamalicious Party – August 2 from 5-7 p.m. 

Cool off before school starts with a dance party featuring a splashy foam machine, games, prizes and more! The Foamalicious Party will take place next to Otters Chicken.

  • LifeSouth Blood Drive – August 7 from 11-4 p.m.

Join us in saving lives! The LifeSouth Blood Drive will be held near the Green Space located by Hallmark and Barnes & Noble. All donors will receive a $20 e-gift card after their contribution.

  • TOUCH-A-TRUCK – September 6 from 6-8 p.m.

Bring the whole family to enjoy food trucks, first responder vehicles, buses and cranes.   Additional activities include balloon artists, face painting, a bounce house, vendors, and a DJ.
