Holidays Shine Bright at The Battery Atlanta with Tree Lighting, Santa’s Post Office and New Holiday Markets


Annual traditions return with magical moments for the whole family, capped by the New Year’s Eve Bash at Cobb County’s premier entertainment destination

The Battery Atlanta will once again dazzle visitors as it transforms into a festive wonderland for its fan-favorite Holidays at The Battery Atlanta presented by Wellstar. The season’s celebrations begin with the Tree Lighting ceremony presented by Wellstar, continue with the Santa’s Post Office presented by Truist tradition and culminate in the New Year’s Eve Bash presented by Xfinity, ringing in 2026 in unforgettable style.

“The holidays at The Battery Atlanta have truly become a centerpiece of the season for so many Atlanta families,” said Lauren Abernethy, Vice President of Marketing. “It’s where our community comes together year after year to celebrate, connect and create traditions that make this time of year so meaningful.”

The festivities kick off Saturday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. with the annual Tree Lighting at the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage. Guests will be treated to live entertainment, appearances by BLOOPER and emcee Mark Owens and a countdown to Santa’s grand arrival. Following the ceremony, families can snuggle up on the Plaza Green for a screening of “Rise of the Guardians” as part of the Xfinity Movie Series.

Santa Claus is once again setting up shop at his Post Office in The Battery Atlanta! From Saturday, Nov. 22 to Wednesday, Dec. 24, Santa will continue the time-honored tradition of greeting local children and families in the Truist Community Corner, located at the corner of Power Alley and Battery Avenue. Families are invited to bring their handwritten letters to Santa – postage not required – at his official Atlanta outpost. Santa’s helpers will take care of the rest! This free opportunity allows parents and guardians to take their own photos of their children interacting with Santa as he listens to their wish lists.

The Truist Community Corner will also house a Holiday Market on Sunday, Dec. 7, featuring a shoppable collection of Atlanta-area small businesses. Additional activities include photo ops, giveaways, a free gift wrap station and other family-friendly activities. Later, Kids’ Holiday Market takes over from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21. Presented in partnership with the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, this one-of-a-kind experience highlights young entrepreneurs selling handmade gifts, treats and holiday treasures.

The season reaches its grand finale with Atlanta’s favorite year-end celebration, the New Year’s Eve Bash, on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The Early Innings celebration begins at 6 p.m. with family-friendly entertainment and features an early innings countdown at 8 p.m., with inflatable baseballs handed out throughout the night. The Late Innings festivities start at 9 p.m. with live music from A-Town A-List on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage, leading into a thrilling midnight countdown featuring pyrotechnics, fireworks and confetti to welcome 2026.

Free parking is available in the Red, Green and Purple Decks for two hours on non-event days at The Coca-Cola Roxy.

Cobb County’s top entertainment spot invites families and friends to enjoy weekly movie screenings through Nov. 29

A seasonal favorite is back as The Battery Atlanta will again present its popular Xfinity Movie Series. From Oct. 3 – Nov. 29 at 7 p.m., guests can enjoy a lineup of family favorites and new releases, including How to Train Your Dragon (2025), Migration, Peter Pan (2003), Wicked, Field of Dreams, Jumanji (1995) and Rise of the Guardians. New this year, the series will feature deals from participating restaurants in The Battery Atlanta including Antico, Battle & Brew, Walk-On’s, Blue Moon, Yard House and Live! at The Battery Atlanta. Expect discounts on pizza, sliders, wraps, gaming, themed menus and to-go orders by mentioning the movie series at checkout. From prime rib nights, outdoor yoga and free Pilates class, the lifestyle destination offers experiences for every age and interest. Warrior Alliance 2025 Benefit Dinner & Ballgame

The Warrior Alliance is hosting its 2025 Benefit Dinner & Ballgame to help more veterans and their families navigate to success after service. The benefit dinner, at the TK Elevator Ballroom, includes special guests Andruw Jones (Atlanta Braves 5X All-Star), a musical guest and more.  Sports Journalist and 680 the Fan radio host Kelly Crull will be joining as the emcee for the night.  The Battery Atlanta offers an action-packed schedule of events this August. The Farmers Market and Yoga by Kaiser Permanente continue on the Plaza Green, in addition to new, free Pilates classes from BODYBAR. Guests can enjoy Prime Rib Wednesdays and Jazz Brunch at C. Ellet’s and Atlanta United watch parties and Summer Fest at Live! at the Battery Atlanta. BURN by Rocky Patel offers Espinosa cigar night and an End of Summer Luau, while SITKA kicks off its 2025 season with a special event. Modest Mouse have today announced they will perform The Moon & Antarctica in its entirety on the evening of Sunday, September 14th at their inaugural The Psychic Salamander Festival to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the album.

The band have also announced additional festival programming for the two-day event taking place at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, WA September 13th and 14th. The event will feature local, regional cuisine and libations including Remlinger Farms Microbrewery. Entertainment for the whole family will include a Fun Park with rides including a mini roller coaster, zipline, steam train, ferris wheel and more. Additional activities include an arcade (pay-per-game) located behind the Fun Park, a walk-through animal barn with donkeys, a large Kune Kune pig, chickens, mini goats, and rabbits. Joining Modest Mouse is an incredible roster of artists including The Flaming Lips, Courtney Barnett, Built To Spill, Sleater-Kinney, Yo La Tengo, The Vaudevillian, Mattress, Friko, Sun Atoms and more. The Flaming  Lips will join Modest Mouse both nights, playing The Soft Bulletin from start to finish on Sunday, the 14th.

In addition to The Psychic Salamander Festival, Modest Mouse recently announced a month-long leg of new North American headlining tour dates this fall, featuring fellow Pacific Northwest indie stalwarts Built to Spill. The tour begins September 30 in Aspen and concludes Oct. 21 in Brooklyn, N.Y. All fall tour dates are on sale now, which will come after an extensive summer schedule that started with headlining shows on June 9 in Orlando, Fl., and also includes a co-headlining run with The Flaming Lips beginning Aug. 1 in Atlanta.

The band will also set sail from Feb. 5-9, 2026, on the inaugural Ice Cream Floats cruise, where they will play three distinct sets alongside a lineup featuring Portugal. The Man, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Built to Spill and many others. Fans can expect a twist on Mystery Science Theater 3000, with Modest Mouse’s members offering irreverent commentary about films of their choice, a live Q&A with topics chosen by attendees, a story time during which frontman Isaac Brock will read children’s books, DJ sets and a Parade of Freaks.

The Battery Atlanta’s June Lineup Delivers Mix of Wellness Events, Family Fun and Live Entertainment

Cobb County’s premier lifestyle venue offers outdoor yoga, a summer family series, concerts and more this month

As summer approaches, The Battery Atlanta heats up the fun with a diverse lineup of events designed to inspire wellness, engage families and entertain all ages. Activities include a zen start to the week with outdoor yoga classes presented by Kaiser Permanente and the Wellstar Family Series featuring kid-friendly tennis lessons, teddy bear clinics and creative challenges. Fitness enthusiasts can dive into the Strength in the City Wellness Fest, while foodies will savor mouthwatering offerings at the Bourbon & Brisket Festival. Music lovers will not want to miss performances by Dispatch, The Head and The Heart, Beabadoobee and more at Coca-Cola Roxy.

Yoga Presented by Kaiser Permanente

Monday, June 9, 16, 23 and 30; 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The spring Yoga series continues! Yogis start the week off stress-free at an outdoor yoga class presented by Kaiser Permanente. As part of the Wellness Series at The Battery Atlanta, this free activity is open to all ages to relax and unwind on the Plaza Green. Strength In the City Wellness Fest

Saturday, June 7; 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This lively rain-or-shine event features over 35 fitness and wellness classes—including yoga, HIIT, dance and meditation—plus local vendors, recovery services and a chance to win prizes. A free community 5K run and 2-mile walk, led by Body Art Run Club at 9 a.m., kicks off the day. Ticket options range from complimentary to $115, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Strength in the City Foundation, which aims to make wellness resources accessible to all. Farmers Market featuring the Bark Market presented by Kaiser Permanente
Sunday, June 8 and 22; 1 – 4 p.m.Visitors will shop from a wide variety of local vendors offering prepared foods, farm-fresh produce, artisanal bread and baked goods, wellness products and more. Attendees are also invited to check out the petting zoo and bring their pup pals along to browse through treats, accessories and more at the Bark Market.

Friday, June 20; 6:30 – 10:10 p.m.
The Battery Atlanta invites pet lovers to the ultimate dog-friendly event—Watch PAWty presented by Boehringer Ingelheim at the Georgia Power Pavilion. Bring your leashed canine companions to enjoy a Braves game on the big screen, shop local pet boutiques like WAGALOT and meet adoptable dogs through LifeLine Animal Project. The first 500 registered attendees will receive a complimentary bandana for their furry friends. Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating for a more comfortable experience. Bourbon and Brisket Festival at The Battery Atlanta

This free, family-friendly event offers a day of delicious barbecue, bourbon tastings, live music and activities for all ages. The Wellstar Family Series

The Battery Atlanta is pleased to announce the return of the Wellstar Family Series, featuring free programming on the Plaza Green for families with children of all ages to enjoy.  From Tennis on the Turf to a Teddy Bear Clinic, this summer’s fun kicks off June 3.

Tuesday Tennis on The Turf

Tuesday, June, 17 and 24; 9 – noon
The Battery Atlanta kicks off its summer Wellstar Family Series with Tuesday Tennis on the Turf on the Plaza Green, USTA Atlanta offers free, 30-minute introductory tennis sessions for kids ages 4-12. Children will be grouped by age and provided with mini tennis nets, foam red balls and kid-sized racquets. Parents are encouraged to participate alongside their children. Teddy Bear Clinic

Wednesday, June 9; 10 – 11 a.m.
Wellstar Health System invites kids to bring their Teddy Bear or other plush friend to the Teddy Bear Clinic on the Plaza Green. The plush patients will receive a healthcare check-up, X-ray, bandages and instructions on how to stay healthy. The Teddy Bear clinic promotes healthy habits while allowing children the opportunity to become familiar with what it’s like to visit a healthcare professional in a fun and developmentally appropriate setting. Other fun interactive stations will be offered as well to include fitness, coloring and a special guest appearance by Dr. WellBee. Registration details can be found here.

Wellstar Family Series: SITKA Gear x Georgia Department of Natural Resources

Wednesday, June 11; 9 – 10:30 a.m.
This free event invites children ages 7-15 to participate in the “Summer Safety Checklist,” featuring interactive demonstrations and competitions focused on hunting and boating safety. Hosted by Wellstar Health System, SITKA Gear and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the session aims to educate young outdoor enthusiasts on essential safety practices. Wellstar Family Series: Blooper’s Color Hour

Children ages 4-12 are invited to roll up their sleeves and create a delicious snack: Rowdy Ranch and Zucchini, while practicing safe knife skills and exploring new techniques to become adventurous eaters. Wellstar Family Series: SITKA x Delta Waterfowl Demonstration

Tuesday, June 19; 9 – 11 a.m.
Children ages 3-12 will have the opportunity to learn about waterfowl identification and conservation through interactive activities, including building a duck blind and participating in a scavenger hunt to find decoys. Registration is mandatory and available via this link.

Wellstar Family Series: Kidokenetics Adventure Course

Wednesday, June 25; 10 a.m. – noon
Following a group warmup, kiddos are split by age groups for (3) 15-minute sessions learning unique sports like pickleball, scoops and many more. The basic concepts of a variety of sports will be introduced in a safe, non-competitive environment ensuring children of every level or ability are learning values such as teamwork, sportsmanship and self-confidence. No registration is required; simply arrive ready to play!

Wellstar Family Series: Challenge Island

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style at Punch Bowl Social, sip and savor a delicious Mother’s Day brunch at National Anthem Atlanta or enjoy a festive Derby Day at BURN. For cocktail enthusiasts, ASW Distillery offers a hands-on experience crafting custom gin, while Battle & Brew invites guests to a whimsical Princes & Princess Cosplay Party.
