August has arrived at The Interlock with plenty of things to do to wrap up the summer. From celebrating the Olympics, trying a new exercise class, supporting local female-owned businesses and kicking off College Football, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this month at The Interlock.

Olympics at The Interlock

Starting at Saint Germain, participants can pick up their passport, which features all of the exciting specials around the mixed-use development. Back to School Drive

Throughout August

It’s August, which means school is back in session. The Interlock is collecting school supplies all month long to donate to local West Midtown Atlanta school, Boyd Elementary. Supplies can be dropped off outside of Encore, located on the 4th-floor, Suite 400.

SIP AROUND THE WORLD AT THE INTERLOCK’S OLYMPIC GAMES CELEBRATIONS

The West Midtown community is invited to celebrate the Olympics with specials, themed cocktails, prizes and more

 Embark on a global adventure this summer to celebrate the 2024 Olympic Games at The Interlock. From July 26 through Aug. 11, the West Midtown neighborhood is invited to get their passports stamped and travel from country to country while sipping themed cocktails, tasting new cuisines, cheering on their favorite athletes and more. 

Guests celebrating the Olympics can pick up their passports at The Interlock’s home country, Saint Germain. The French café and bakery will also host an Eiffel Tower-themed paint-and-sip class led by Miss Pink. During the Olympic Games, guests can pose for the perfect photo opportunity at the balloon arch and visit various retailers and restaurants representing different countries for exciting food and drink specials. Sip around the world and collect passport stamps with Guac y Margys, Velvet Taco, Holiday Bar, Humble Pie and more. Those who return their passports to Saint Germain with at least three stamps by Aug. 11 will be entered to win a grand prize.

The Interlock is turning three and what better way to celebrate than with a community block party! From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, the West Midtown neighborhood is invited to enjoy a live DJ, food and drink specials from everyone’s favorite spots, a variety of vendors, refreshing treats, giveaways and more.

Guests at The Interlock’s Birthday Block Party can expect live entertainment from DJ Steve, painting classes from Miss Pink on The Highline and so much more. Memorable photo opportunities will be found across The Interlock, including an extravagant balloon arch. Beeline Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic and lined with exciting vendors such as the Atlanta Ice Cream Truck, Kona Ice and The Pretty Additions Henna. From William Shakespeare to Taylor Swift, the community is invited to celebrate poetry from all generations at the mixed-use destination

Just in time for William Shakespeare’s birthday, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department album release and National Poetry Month, The Interlock is hosting “To Be or Not to Be at The Interlock,” an evening full of poetry and performance. The event kicks off on Saturday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. with a Taylor Swift pre-party featuring music from her new album releasing on April 19. Guests who guess if lines are Swift lyrics or Shakespearean poetry correctly will receive prizes, including The Interlock’s new loyalty card – The Trendsetter – with exclusive deals and discounts. 

At 7:30 p.m., Atlanta Shakespeare Company will present Midsummer 60, a take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream with all of the silliness, romance, comedy and fairy drama of the full production, condensed into a 60-minute show. To Be or Not to Be at The Interlock is a free event at Highline Park, the greenspace located on Beeline Boulevard.

THE INTERLOCK IN WEST MIDTOWN CELEBRATES THIRD ANNIVERSARY

The vertical mixed-use destination to host a community picnic in Highline Park, reflects on growth 

The Interlock, the nine-acre mixed-use development in West Midtown, will celebrate three years as a gathering place for the community this March. Driven by West Midtown’s tech and population boom, The Interlock has evolved into a thriving destination with experiential attractions, unique retail and chef-infused dining. On Saturday March 23, the community is invited to celebrate the milestone with a Picnic in the Park at Highline Park. 

“The rapid rise of West Midtown in recent years inspired the need for more dining, shopping and entertainment options to accommodate the growing population; thus, The Interlock was born,” said Shawn J. Tibbetts, President and Chief Operating Officer at Armada Hoffler, which owns The Interlock. “Three years later, we reflect on the success of the project by inviting the community to an afternoon of celebration.”

The Interlock’s third anniversary picnic will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Highline Park, the greenspace located on Beeline Boulevard. Guests can expect photo opportunities, delicious picnic-style food, frozen drinks and live music. Picnic in the Park is free to attend; food and beverage costs will vary. The Interlock offers free lunch parking during the week. 

West Midtown’s population has more than doubled since 2000, per U.S. Census Bureau data. The neighborhood is home to a remarkably young cohort of largely Millennials and Gen Zers, with more than 78% of residents born after 1981, according to a Cushman & Wakefield analysis. To match the growing demand and young population, The Interlock has welcomed a variety of experiential offerings, such as Puttshack, The Escape Game and Sandbox VR, along with diverse restaurant and retailers.

The Interlock is a private-public partnership with Georgia Institute of Technology. Armada Hoffler acquired the project in May 2023 from SJC Ventures, but provided significant development and construction expertise as well as mezzanine financing at the project’s inception. SJC Ventures remains the owner of Interlock Tower. The Bellyard’s Beginners Modern Calligraphy Class

Saturday, March 2 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in The Bellyard’s modern calligraphy workshop. On Saturday, March 2, the team will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor and more! Vida-Flo’s Grand Opening

Leap Day comes once every four years and to celebrate, The Interlock is throwing a party! The West Midtown premier mixed-use destination invites the community to its Highline Park to enjoy exciting activities and win exclusive prizes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 29.

Guests can capture memories with photo opportunities featuring an incredible balloon installation by Balloons Over Atlanta and enjoy the beats of DJ Steve as he spins lively tunes to keep the celebration going. Participants in Leap Day challenges such as Double Dutch length jump ropes, hopscotch, sack racing and leapfrog can win exclusive prizes from participating The Interlock tenants.
