5TH ANNUAL ATLANTA IMPROV FESTIVAL

Festival features top comedy talent from across the country, including legendary improv group Beer Shark Mice

Atlanta, GA – Today, Atlanta’s The Village Theatre announced the lineup for the 5th Annual Atlanta Improv Festival, presented by Kaiser Permanente. The comedy festival takes place April 25-27, and will include over 20 shows from top improv groups from across the country and around Atlanta.  The full schedule and ticket information can be found at www.AtlantaImprovFestival.com. The festival’s featured headliners include:
Beer Shark Mice – this legendary long form improv team has been around for over 20 years and includes some of the top improvisers from Chicago and Los Angeles
Michael Coleman (How High, American Wedding, Arrested Development, Drunk History on Comedy Central)
Peter Hulne (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Battle of the Sexes, Elf)
Pat Finn (The Middle, It’s Complicated, I Am Chris Farley)
Paul Vaillancourt (Adventures in Hollyhood, The Blame Game, The T.O. Show)
David Pasquesi (Veep, Groundhog Day, Angels & Demons)
Christina Gausas (Difficult People, 30 Rock, Late Night with Conan O’Brien)

The festival will also feature a series of workshops for both experienced and novice performers, all taught by top improv instructors from Los Angeles, Chicago, Charleston and Atlanta. Workshop topics include Becoming an Improv Super Hero, Getting out of Your Head with Improvised Movement, An Alternative Approach to Scene Work, and Group Games. Additionally, the weekend event will showcase the final rounds of the Atlanta Improv Festival Battle, which includes 36 local improv teams battling to win $1,000 and a run of shows at The Village Theatre. Sandy Springs Artsapalooza 2019

About: Spend quality time with friends and family on Easter weekend during the eighth annual Sandy  Springs Artsapalooza presented by on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21,  2019. The award-winning, two-day festival that features more  than 150 artisans  transforms the  beautiful tree-lined streets of Sandy Springs into an expansive outdoor art gallery.  On Easter Sunday, the Atlanta Foundation For Public Spaces is joining forces with Heritage Sandy Springs to host the largest Easter Egg Hunt in Sandy Springs with over 5,000 hidden Easter eggs kicking off at 2 p.m. Festival goers are also invited to bring their cameras and take pictures with the Easter Bunny from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to view  artist demonstrations, participate in  hands-on art activities and enjoy live acoustic performances, a children’s area, food trucks, beverages and more. The festival is free to attend, open to all ages, and dogs  are welcome.

Park Tavern’s Easter Day 2019

About:  A sold out traditional every year, on Sunday April 21, 2019, Park Tavern will host its next rendition of Easter brunch on its expansive patio overlooking picturesque Piedmont Park and the Midtown skyline. Ideal for both adults and children, guests are invited to enjoy an exuberant brunch boasting interactive stations including a Biscuit Bar serving flaky buttermilk biscuits with fried chicken, chef-attended omelet and carving stations, and a French toast and Belgian waffle station with the works.  Brunch goers will also be treated to a mouthwatering buffet featuring Eggs Benedict with candied bacon, blackened salmon over warm quinoa salad, Applewood smoked bacon, sausage, garlic green beans, asparagus salad with toasted walnuts and goat cheese, pastries, a dessert bar, and more. An annual favorite, a special appearance by the Easter Bunny will also take place at 12 p.m., which will kick off Park Tavern’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Guests are invited to bring their cameras and take pictures with the Easter Bunny for free. New to this year, imbibers can enjoy endless champagne and mimosa offerings from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. during Park Tavern’s VIP Champagne & Mimosa Easter Brunch experience. FARMYARD CHOWDOWN FESTIVAL 2019

Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails

Festival or feastival? You decide while you’re savoring the fabulous food at Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails’ annual Farmyard Chowdown Festival on Sunday, April 28. Chef Derek Dollar is kicking the day up a solid notch or two with oysters, mussels, pickle fried chicken, BBQ and a low country seafood boil with crawfish, crab legs, shrimp and more. The team has added a generous dollop of family-friendly activities, such as cornhole, life-size Jenga and a photo booth to capture tasteful memories. There’s also live music and a caricature artist eager to send you home with a souvenir sure to keep you smiling.

As if the team hadn’t already raised the bar on service and sumptuousness, Raising the Bar will be on hand to offer local beer, seasonal cocktails and wine from Hitch Atlanta, its vintage Airstream mobile service bar.

Tickets for Farmyard Chowdown Festival are $40 per person; $20 for children 12 and under. Price does not include a small service fee, tax or drinks. Tickets are available for purchase online.

Atlanta Spring Wine Festival 2019

Date: Saturday, April 13th

Time: 1 pm

About: The annual Atlanta Spring Wine Fest will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 1 – 5pm in Historic Fourth Ward Park. We will have over 50 wines as well as a selection of local beer and cider to choose from. There will be live music, plenty of fun and games, and food will be available for purchase.  The wine list is available on the website. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door of the event.
