TRATTORIA LUCIA SETS THE TABLE FOR ITS FIRST WINE PAIRING DINNER

A Tour of Italy, One Pour at a Time, Course by Course
Monday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Trattoria Lucia will host its first wine dinner on Monday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m. The 60-seat Glenwood Park restaurant from restaurateur Damien McGee, best known for his acclaimed cocktail lounge Vesper, will present a five-course tasting menu with regional Italian pairings.
The evening begins with passed fried artichoke hearts and fig with prosciutto alongside Medici Ermete “Concerto” Reggiano Lambrusco DOC. Courses follow with jalapeño cilantro strawberry hamachi paired with Benanti Etna Bianco DOC; ricotta ravioli in sage brown butter with Castello di Volpaia Chianti Classico DOCG; chilled branzino with orange gin and Calabrian aïoli matched with Masi Fresco di Masi Rosso Verona IGT; and braised short rib with parmesan polenta alongside Travaglini Gattinara DOCG (Nebbiolo, Piedmont). The experience ends on a sweet note with limon crema bruciata and Masi “Angelorum” Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG.
