The Southern Sky’s 0K Sit and Stay

About: The Southern Sky 0K Sit & Stay is the first of its kind. Southern Sky is hosting a zero kilometer run on the 4th of July weekend (Saturday, July 2nd) to celebrate America and good beer! Participants in this race each bring their own sit paraphernalia (ex – lawn chair, tube, tricycle, etc) and sit, drink beer, and party at the Southern Sky Brewery. There will be absolutely no running in this event. Wear your favorite running gear! Costumes and themes are not only welcomed but encouraged. Each registration ($30) comes with a t-shirt (basic tee or women’s tank options available), a specialty pint glass, a racing bib, a sticker and a standard brewery tour (6 tickets for beer tastings). Registration is limited to 200 participants. You may be able to register at the door only if there are spots left. The “race” starts promptly at 2:00 pm, and each runner has 60 seconds to (not) run 0 km. There will be live music by Blind Fate, The Tempted Palate food truck and specialty beers for this event.

6th Annual Red, White & Brews Pub Crawl

About: Let the fireworks begin as you gear up to celebrate Independence Day with Star Spangled Shenanigans at the 6th Annual Red, White, and Brews Pub Crawl. Eat, drink & party and rocket along to 10 bars in Buckhead’s entertainment district. Enjoy complimentary themed shots, great drink & food specials, bands and DJ’s.  The festivities start at Lost Dog Tavern and spill over into Churchill’s Pub, Buckhead Saloon, Big Sky, Hangovers, Rock’n Taco, Red Door, 5 Paces Inn and Dive Bar, as you mix and mingle with new and old friends. Atlanta, Georgia (June 27, 2016) – On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, Tavernpointe is teaming up with The Unknown Brewing Company out of Charlotte, North Carolina as part of its monthly beer dinner and social series.  Beginning at 7 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy a five-course culinary journey created by Chef Sid Blackwell that will include fresh, seasonal plates paired with beer cocktails created by celebrated Bar Director Madison Burch and hand-selected pairings including Unknown favorites:  Over the Edge: American IPA; Pre-Game Session Ale; Silverback Stout; Hospitali-Tea Southern Amber Ale; and Ginger Wheat. Tickets for Tavernpointe’s June beer dinner are available for $99 for two by visiting http://handpickedatlanta.com.
