Restaurant Founded by Former NFL Quarterback Opened

Its Second Atlanta Location At 782 Ponce de Leon Ave In July

(Atlanta, GA)gusto!, the fast-casual concept that opened its second Atlanta location just down the street from Ponce City Market and the BeltLine in July, will host a “Paint Party on Ponce” on Saturday, September 10th on their newly debuted patio. The restaurant is inviting the Atlanta community into “prime” one of the walls at gusto! Ponce for a future mural by “tagging” it like a graffiti pro with spray paint and attendees will also be able to choose the restaurant’s very own “tattoo sleeve” by voting on their favorite mural by local artists.

gusto! is currently accepting sketches for the forthcoming mural on gusto! Ponce, and interested artists are invited to send their submissions by Sept. 8th to Ema Carr at yourewelcomeATL@gmail.com. The top three mural submissions will be displayed on posters during the paint party on the patio. Guests will be able to vote for the winning mural that they want to see added to the existent vibrant public art on Ponce de Leon Ave.

In addition to spray painting the building and the mural contest, the event’s festivities will feature music by DJ Dookie Platters, $3 “A Night on Ponce” beers from Three Taverns Brewery, and a ribbon cutting by J. Winter, known locally as the “Mayor of Ponce.” Guests can spin a wheel to win various prizes from 11am-8pm, and gusto! will be giving away items including two tickets to Music Midtown, classes from neighboring kickboxing gym, VESTA Movement, gusto! t-shirts, koozies, and more. With the restaurant within walking distance from the BeltLine, the paint party will be a great pregame spot for guests heading to the annual Lantern Parade later in the evening.

The paint party will take place on gusto!’s new patio, facing Ponce de Leon Ave., and the restaurant offers ample free parking in the back. gusto! opened its second location following the success of gusto! on Peachtree, opened in fall 2014 in Atlanta’s Brookwood Hills neighborhood by native Georgian and former NFL quarterback Nate Hybl.

ABOUT gusto!

gusto! serves fresh, flavor, fast. The global menu draws inspiration from the restaurant’s name—meaning “enjoyment or vigor in doing something.” Founder Nate Hybl is a food and restaurant enthusiast who first recognized the need for flavorful, convenient, and affordable food while pursuing a healthy lifestyle as a professional athlete. Nate set about a mission to create a place where quality intersects with speed, and where fresh flavors could be delivered in a quick, healthy, and innovative yet approachable way. Last year, gusto! was named “Best New Restaurant” in Best Self Atlanta and one of “Atlanta’s Top 10 Healthy Fast-Casual Restaurants” on About.com.
