Local burger joints to cook-off at Buckhead’s iconic shopping destination

Fire up the grills! Lenox Square and Atlanta magazine will once again host Atlanta’s premier burger-cook off, Best Burger Battle, on Saturday, October 20! From 1-5 p.m., this annual event will host over two dozen of the best local burger joints for hungry guests to indulge in, as well as live music, wine, craft beer and Bulleit Bourbon. Restaurants aiming for the No. 1 title include reigning champion THERE Brookhaven, ATL Taco, Public Kitchen & Bar, Zinburger, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Dixie Q, Shake Shack and more. Tickets are $50 and are all-inclusive.

Atlanta, Georgia – On Saturday, October 13th, City Winery is partnering with Down Home Brewing for an afternoon of fun on the urban winery’s expansive outdoor patio to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the brewery. While the Atlanta leaves are falling, craft beers lovers can enjoy frosty brews from Atlanta’s first African-American-owned brewing company, Down Home Brewing. Brewmaster and Founder Chris Reeves will be on site pouring glasses of his handcrafted Georgia Hooch IPA (6.8% ABV) and T-Pom Pomegranate Wheat Ale (6.3% ABV). Executive Chef Nick Anderson will also be firing up the Big Green Egg serving his spin on Southern classics like Barbecue Brisket Sandwiches, Beer Can Chicken, Potato Salad, House-made coleslaw and potato chips. Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest in Piedmont Park 2018

About: On Friday, October 5, 2018, partygoers can dust off their dirndls and lederhosen for Oktoberfest presented by Park Tavern, A Social Mess and Sierra Nevada at the Legacy Fountain in Piedmont Park. Benefitting the Piedmont Park Conservancy, revelers can clink their beer steins while enjoying a friendly competition of corn hole, a beer mug stamina contest, a beer pong contest and more. Brew lovers are also invited to enjoy a range of ice-cold beers courtesy of Sierra Nevada, Woodbridge wines, and Cutwater Fugu Vodka, Bacardi, el Jimador Tequila and Jack Daniel’s cocktails.  The Arby’s Food Truck will also be at the event selling special test kitchen offerings throughout the evening. Featuring live music and DJ performances throughout the day, Sucker Punch will get the crowd hyped with favorite hard rocking hits from the 90s and early 2000s including Green Day, Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more. Filling the headliner spot, JohnBoy and SurroundSound will continue to electrify partygoers until the beer stops flowing. DJ NAKD will also be spinning top hits in between the high energy music performances. General admission tickets are available for $20. 2018 Duluth Beer and Wine Festival

About: The City of Duluth is hosting a celebration of Beer and Wine on the Duluth Town Green. Join us on Saturday, October 6th from 12:00pm-5:00pm to sample 75+ craft beers and 25+ wines. The day will feature live local music, beer and wine samples, a variety of local food trucks, an adult game zone, plus community vendors and artists. Tickets include: admission to the event, complimentary beer and wine samples for the duration of the festival, souvenir tasting glass. Tickets are $43 for general admission, while they’ll be $55 at the door if available.
