HAMPTON AND HUDSON CELEBRATES ONE YEAR OF SUCCESS WITH AN ALL-DAY OUTDOOR BASH 

Hampton + Hudson, a go-to haunt located in Inman Park, is hosting an all-day, outdoor bash on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in honor of its one-year anniversary. Pulling out all the stops for what will prove to be an unforgettable afternoon, Hampton + Hudson will have live music, outdoor games, craft beer and cocktail specials, a photo booth and more from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Revelers can relax on the expanded, dog-friendly patio while sipping $5 Tito’s cocktails and $2 SweetWater 420 and enjoying a live music performance by Tray Dahl & The Jug Time Band. Party-goers are also invited to enjoy complimentary passed appetizers from 1 to 2 p.m. and can spend the afternoon challenging each other to games of ping pong, life-sized Jenga, cornhole, and foosball. 2017 CANDLER PARK MUSIC AND FOOD FESTIVAL LINEUP

The much-anticipated annual Candler Park Music & Food Festival returns to Candler Park in Atlanta on Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3. Produced by Rival Entertainment and sponsored by Athens-based Terrapin Brewing Co., 2017’s two-day event offers an incredible lineup of live music, food and local artisans in an all-ages, family-friendly festival environment. The live-music-filled weekend lineup features Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Railroad Earth, Lake Street Dive, Matisyahu, The Motet, The Marcus King Band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Ripe, as well as Atlanta artists Chelsea Shag and Webster.

JUSTIN ANTHONY AND KEVIN GILLESPIE COLLABORATE FOR KUDU SAFARI BRAAI ON MAY 21

South African restaurateur Justin Anthony of True Story Brands (10 Degrees South, Yebo Beach Haus, Cape Dutch and Biltong Bar) and chef, restaurateur, author and TV personality Kevin Gillespie (Gunshow, Revival, Terminus City and soon-to-open Kevin Gillespie’s Gamechanger) are joining their iconic forces for an exclusive KUDU Safari Braai on the Yebo Beach Haus patio on Sunday, May 21, from 3 to 6 p.m. Both KUDU brand “Braai Masters,” the two are collaborating for a celebration of South African culture, featuring the newest rendition of a South African-style braai. During the event, enjoy passed signature South African plates hot off the four custom KUDUs – open-faced grills on the patio – along with libations and a meet-and-greet with Anthony and Gillespie. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased online, with alcoholic beverages available for purchase separately.

Shaky Knees Music Festival 2017

Shaky Knees Music Festival will return this weekend to Centennial Olympic Park, May 12-14, bringing esteemed headliners The xx, LCD Soundsystem and Phoenix to downtown Atlanta, GA in celebration of 5 years as a world-class festival. The stacked lineup also includes Cage The Elephant, Pixies, The Shins, Nick Murphy, X Ambassadors, Third Eye Blind, and Portugal. The Man; over 60 bands will perform on 3 stages. The line-up has been announced. Here’s what you’ll find for each day at Shaky Knees. Friday will bring fans performances from LCD Soundsystem, Cage The Elephant, Pixies, Portugal. The Man and more, while Saturday’s lineup delivers a diverse bill including The xx, Nick Murphy, X Ambassadors and Moon Taxi. Grant Park Birthday Gala and Silent Auction 2017

The Grant Park Conservancy is throwing Atlanta’s oldest park a birthday party. What better way to celebrate than with a Birthday Bash & Silent Auction to benefit Atlanta’s oldest park. This year The People’s Playground will turn 134 years old and we plan to celebrate with a good old fashioned pig pickin’ and silent auction. We’re teaming up with the folks behind Grant Park’s BBQ festival for this Birthday BBQ Bash. There will be plenty of food, beer, entertainment, and fun! The event will take place at Eventide Brewing (1015 Grant St SE, Atlanta, GA 30315) on May 13th from 6-10 p.m. All of the proceeds go to the Grant Park Conservancy and directly contribute to keeping our beautiful park an enjoyable place for everyone. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 the day of!
