LADYBIRD HOSTS LAUNCH OF LAWN DART

Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall is hosting a launch party on Thursday, December 29th, starting at 7 pm, for Old Fourth Distillery’s new liqueur, LAWN DART, made with cold-pressed ginger and vapor-infused lemon. The party is open to the public, and guests will enjoy a special cocktail menu featuring O4D Lawn Dart, discounted bar snacks, and live music. The founders of O4D will also be in attendance.

CHEF EVAN CORDES’ CAST IRON RESTAURANT NOW OPEN

Chef Evan Cordes (formerly of Atlanta restaurants Cakes & Ale, Serpas True Food, and H. Harper Station) opens his first restaurant, Cast Iron, in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward. Most recently, Cordes served as a personal chef in Atlanta and Savannah. At Cast Iron, Cordes runs the kitchen as Executive Chef. Brad Tolleson (formerly of Pura Vida and Restaurant Eugene) serves as Bar Manager. The welcoming restaurant is located at 701-5 Highland Avenue NE and is open for dinner nightly 5pm to late, closed Mondays.

RECAPING THE FRYE HOLIDAY CAROLING EVENT

On Saturday, December 17, 2016 over 700 shoppers celebrated the spirit of the holiday season at FRYE’s Atlanta store at Ponce City Market during its second annual rockin’ holiday caroling event with The Whiskey Gentry. From 1 to 4 p.m., locals and visitors alike experienced a high-energy, live acoustic show outside the store while enjoying hot drinks from American Spirit Whiskey, Wild Heaven craft beers, and cookies from Atlanta favorite Farm to Ladle. Shoppers also enjoyed complimentary on-site customization with a purchase from acclaimed chain stitch embroidery collective Ft. Lonesome. Perfect for holiday gifts, guests also raved about Frye’s Holiday Collection, which includes an array of exclusive hats, scarves, gloves, belts and more for men and women.
