Celebrating the most sought after bubbly drinks at the first Seltzer Fest was so much fun, Park Tavern is ending the summer with one more Saturday of Sippling Spiked Seltzers at the Seltzer Fest Round Two on August 29, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Imbibers are invited to sip their way through samples of countless icy seltzers while overlooking Piedmont Park and swaying to the music of Davis & The Love. Festival goers can pair their fizzy refreshments with Park Tavern’s full Patio Menu including a wide range of dips, wings, sandwiches, tacos, baskets and burgers.

Early Bird pricing for General Admission entrance is $15.00 for the first 50 ticket buyers and will increase to $30. General Admission includes all-you-can-taste samples. Early Bird pricing for VIP Admission for the first 50 ticket buyers is $30 and will increase to $50. Spectators are encouraged to watch the action and cheer on league participants as they play games leading up to the season’s final tournament on Oct. 20. Revel in Retro Horror at One of the Top Haunted Houses in the Country

Good news fright fans – the team behind the world-famous NETHERWORLD Haunted House is thrilled to introduce this year’s main theme, HALLOWEEN NIGHTMARES. Haunt guests will soon be able to enjoy an over-the-top adventure, loaded with amazing new experiences they won’t soon forget. Based on classic harvest and horror themes, HALLOWEEN NIGHTMARES’ story begins over one hundred years ago when the survivors of a brutal family feud sought vengeance against another mountain clan. Utilizing evil powers stolen from monsters beneath the earth, they were transformed into savage bat-like creatures and slaughtered their enemies on Halloween night!

“We’re working nonstop on the creation of elaborate sets, giant monsters, and mind-numbing effects just as we have every year since our inaugural season in 1997,” said Billy Messina, NETHERWORLD Haunted House co-creator. “Our 2020 main attraction will be a terrifying yet nostalgic romp down Halloween Lane, and seriously, during this time when nothing seems normal thanks to COVID-19, who can’t use a little spine-tingling fun these days?”

This Halloween, the bat-like creatures will resurface once again, disguised as distorted costumed revelers bent on bringing destruction to the cursed town of Whyshburg and only the Children of Autumn, a group of mysterious Trick or Treaters with strange powers stand in their way. Guests can expect eerie shadow creatures, legions of grinning jack-o’-lanterns, the Lair of the Ancient Alchemist, the Chamber of the Elder Thing and the Temple of the Bat God. Following the difficult decision to postpone the seventh edition of Imagine Music Festival for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers are excited to share the first phase of the lineup for the festival’s return September 17 – 19, 2021. Earlier this year, the festival also revealed the big news that it would be moving locations to the scenic woodlands of the Bouckaert Farm in the City of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. A move that carried Imagine into a new chapter and creates endless potential for a more immersive experience shaped by nature. Given the current climate of the world, organizers are keeping positive and using the extended timeline to expand the production and create an even more spectacular show with some epic sets that will have fans buzzing all year long.

Fans may not be able to watch baseball from inside Truist Park yet, but will still be able to be a part of the Braves season just steps away at Live! at The Battery. Multiple expansive areas both inside and out will allow guests to safely spread out and experience Braves baseball in a relaxed, ballpark-style atmosphere.

AJFF IN CONVERSATION: VIRTUAL DISCUSSION OF FLAWLESS

In this month’s iteration of AJFF In Conversation: The Webinar, AJFF is thrilled to showcase an interactive conversation around the film Flawless. Nominated for 12 Israeli Academy Awards and an audience favorite of the 2020 festival, the film is the coming-of-age dramedy about a trio of teenage girls who seek to remake themselves before their high school prom. Hiding that she’s transgender, mysterious new student Eden (played by transgender actress Stav Strashko) enters a cliquish Jerusalem school, where she befriends two other girls who harbor their own unrealized dreams. Envious of their picture-perfect classmates, the teens band together on an impulsive adventure to Ukraine, going to queasy extremes to bankroll cosmetic surgery.

NETHERWORLD HAUNTED HOUSE IS TAKING OVER STONE MOUNTAIN AT 1313 NETHERWORLD WAY

Same Location, New Street Name!

This season at NETHERWORLD Haunted House means new monsters, new haunt themes, and a creepy new address. Incredible effects and sets, fan-favorite monsters and a new crop of creatures will be lurking for you at the same amazing location in Stone Mountain, but with a brand-new street name…Netherworld Way. While the street name may be changing, the location remains the same, as does all the fun and excitement haunt fans have come to expect from NETHERWORLD.

“Since planting roots here in Stone Mountain three years ago, those roots have only grown stronger, but having this new address really cements this place as home,” said Billy Messina, NETHERWORLD Haunted House co-creator. “It’s been a crazy year and the news of the new street name is truly a positive light and a hopeful sign of things to come. I’m beyond thrilled that our guests will be plugging 1313 Netherworld Way into their phones when we open the doors for our 24th year of fear.”

Over the next few months, guests can expect Google Maps and other online listings to be updated accordingly. However, for the time being, GPS services will recognize the old address (2076 W Park Pl. Blvd, Stone Mountain, GA 30087). Additionally, government services such as emergency and postal already recognize the new street name.

Chastain Shop to Match Guest Donations During July 11 Fundraiser

Nate Hybl, creator of gusto!, is thrilled to partner with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for an impactful fundraising event at its newest shop near Chastain Park on Saturday, July 11.

Supporters who visit gusto! Chastain on Saturday, July 11 will have the opportunity to add a donation at checkout, and gusto! has pledged to match every donation dollar raised with all funds benefitting LLS. These funds will impact the lives of the 1.3 million patients living with or in remission from a blood cancer, who are patiently waiting for better treatments and ultimately for a cure.
