Thanksgiving may be all about gratitude, togetherness, and the sides—but as the saying goes, you can’t choose your family, but you can choose your friends. It’s in that spirit that Tio Lucho’s brings together three James Beard–nominated experts for an elevated, festive feast that doubles as the ultimate Friendsgiving gathering—taking place long before Cousin Eddie can drop in, on Friday, November 21. One night. Three experts. And a menu that leaves no detail to chance.

These James Beard–nominated talents—Chef Arnaldo Castillo of Tio Lucho’s, Jose Medina Camacho, co-founder and beverage director of ADIÕS Bar in Birmingham, and Chef Claudia Martinez, founder of Bar ANA, Atlanta’s forthcoming late-night dessert and cocktail bar—come together for a mash-up as rare as it is delicious. Beginning at 4 p.m., guests will be seated for dinner service, exploring the creations from each talent at their own pace—from Tio Lucho’s signature Peruvian-inspired dishes to Camacho’s six standout cocktails to Martinez’s sneak peek of new Bar ANA bites and snacks—capped by a single, show-stopping dessert as the sweet finale.

As plates clear, the lights dim and the evening shifts gears, beckoning longtime friends and new faces to hang back and revel in the season. At 8 p.m., the DJ kicks in, spinning a late-night soundtrack that sets the tone for an after-hours bash. Then, at 10 p.m., Chef Eric Fernandez—formerly of Watchman’s and one of the opening chefs for Spring 2nd Branch—takes over with his pop-up, Monte, serving farm-to-table Mexican bites with a contemporary edge. The limited late-night menu adds an extra layer to the night’s agave-forward cocktails and Friendsgiving spirit.

Equal parts foodie friend fest, cocktail-fueled hang, and late-night revelry, the evening promises something extra to be thankful for this year. The newly opened mixed-use destination introduces magical seasonal experiences to Dunwoody and surrounding communities

High Street in Atlanta’s Perimeter is excited to share its full line-up of holiday events, including Dunwoody’s first-ever outdoor ice skating rink, a holiday pop-up bar at Maya Speak Tiki in Agave Bandido, a complimentary Santa experience in High Street’s jewelbox space and various festivities throughout the holiday season. Holiday at High Street will kick off on Sunday, Nov. 23, with the opening of High Street Skate on The Green. 

“This year, we’re making High Street Perimeter’s home for the holidays,” said Amari Holmes, Marketing Manager at High Street. “We’re transforming our newly opened town center into a winter wonderland for the community to gather and celebrate the season. Whether skating on our brand new ice rink, sipping on a holiday-themed cocktail, or snapping photos with Santa in our newly activated jewelbox space, we hope our guests will make unforgettable memories with us this holiday season at High Street.”

High Street’s line-up of holiday events includes the following:

  • From Nov. 23 through Jan. 19, get ready to glide into the holidays at High Street Skate. The brand-new ice rink will take over The Green at the center of the mixed-use community. Tickets will be available online on High Street’s website and in person and include skate rentals. Hours vary by day, and the rink operates weather permitting. Real-time updates will be made through High Street’s social channels. Timed ticketing and safety protocols will be implemented for convenience.  
  • This holiday season, Agave Bandido’s Maya Speak Tiki transforms into The Reindeer Room, a Christmas pop-up bar filled with festive cocktails, twinkling lights and tropical holiday magic. Opening for the first time ever, The Reindeer Room will run from Nov. 19 through Jan. 3. 
  • Santa is coming to High Street! Starting Nov. 28, the community is invited to Snapshots with Santa, a complimentary photo session with Santa in High Street’s jewelbox space behind The Green. Sessions will be held Thursday through Sunday. Appointments are required for photos and will go live on High Street’s website on Nov. 11.   • On Thursday, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m., the community is invited to High Street’s Merry & Make, an evening of ornament decorating, festive cocktails, magical selfie moments and more. The event will take place in High Street’s jewelbox space behind The Green. Tickets are $40 per person with proceeds benefiting a local charity. The event is 21+.   • On Saturday, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20 from noon to 2 p.m., step into the magic of the season and join Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tickets are $35 per family (up to two adults and three children) and include a 30-minute story time session, photos, crafts, hot cocoa and festive treats.   • Raise a glass and celebrate the end of an incredible year in true High Street style with High Street’s Sip & Sparkle event. Tickets are $40 per person and include two drink tickets, complimentary bites and one swag item per person. Tickets will go on sale on Nov. 11. For those celebrating the spookiest time of year all weekend long, NETHERWORLD Haunted House is keeping the screams alive for two more weekends – Nov. 1–2 and Nov. 7–8 – giving fans one last chance to experience the blockbuster 2025 haunts: MONSTERS ATTACK! and OBLIVION: RETURN OF THE MANGLERfeaturing GRENDEL’S FEAST.

The scares don’t stop once guests exit the haunts – the Halloween Midway will also be open on the final nights, featuring monster meet-and-greets, creepy photo ops, spooky games, and fan-favorite snacks like mini donuts, nachos, bratwurst, vegan corn dogs, and “Blood Bags” filled with drinkable concoctions. For those craving more year-round thrills, visitors can also check out Escape the NETHERWORLD, featuring five immersive escape games, or explore the House of Creeps Monster Museum for a dose of horror history and movie memorabilia. 

And for the first time ever, NETHERWORLD will also offer a special Lights-On Tour day experience during the final weekend on Nov. 7 and 8, inviting guests to explore the attraction in a whole new way. The behind-the-scenes tour offers an intimate, 75-minute guided walk through both haunts, allowing fans to see the sets, creatures, and effects up close – without the screams, fog, and flashing lights. Each tour includes a knowledgeable guide, photo opportunities inside the haunts, and admission to the House of Creeps Monster Museum.

“We wanted to do something special to wrap up this incredible season,” said Ben Armstrong, NETHERWORLD Co-Creator. “The Lights-On Tours let guests step into the haunts in a much more personal way – you can take your time, see the details, ask questions, and really appreciate the artistry behind everything. It’s a perfect encore for anyone who’s already visited this year or just wants one last taste of Halloween.” 

Lights On Tour tickets are $125 per person and extremely limited, with groups of up to eight people per session. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Guests should note that Lights-On Tours are separate from evening haunt admission and do not include access to the fully operational haunted house during nighttime hours.

The Heart of ATL comes alive with festive lights, lively performances and community gatherings

Atlantic Station welcomes the holiday season with a lineup of seasonal events and attractions kicking off the holidays in Midtown. The celebration begins with Skate the Station, transforming District Ave into Atlanta’s largest outdoor ice-skating rink surrounded by festive décor and skyline views. Light the Station returns next, where Atlantic Station’s 50-foot tree is illuminated during an evening of music, dancing, costumed characters and a Candy Land–themed parade. Following the tree lighting, guests can experience Celebration at the Station, an immersive light and video show featuring festive tunes and nightly snow flurries around Atlantic Green. Rounding out the holiday lineup, Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA brings a dreamlike vision of Mexico to life through acrobatics, music and striking visuals under the Big Top.

This fall, families, friends, and food lovers are invited to join a lively new celebration of halal flavors, culture, and connection at the first-ever Atlanta Halal Fall Festival. The two-day event will feature a wide range of food vendors serving authentic halal cuisine, an artisan market with various types of goods, and plenty of family fun, including a dedicated kids’ zone.

The Atlanta Halal Fall Festival is hosted by the Atlanta Muslim Festival Collective, an organization dedicated to hosting events that bring Muslims and non-Muslims together to celebrate the richness of Muslim culture and identity. Everyone is welcome and invited to learn more about, participate in, and enjoy the cultural elements showcased at AMFC events, which also include the Atlanta Ramadan Food Festival, which took place in March of this year, and Atlanta’s first official halal food festival, the Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival that was at Atlantic Station.

“We’re incredibly excited to introduce the Atlanta Halal Fall Festival to the city, especially after the overwhelming positive response we received from our previous events this year,” said Hasnain Lakhani, Co-Founder of AMFC, Atlanta restaurateur, and entrepreneur. “It’s truly a passion for our team to continue bringing authentic cultural experiences to the city, and with tons of delicious food options, retail vendors, and family activities, we’ve made sure the Atlanta Halal Fall Festival will be an unforgettable event for all who attend.”

This year, admission to the 2025 Fall Festival is completely free to the public in the spirit of giving, providing a fun space for community gathering and the opportunity for attendees to purchase clothing, jewelry, fragrances, and other gifts from the festival’s artisan market vendors, especially with holidays like Thanksgiving and shopping holidays like Black Friday taking place only a few days after the festival.

“As we round out the year, we really wanted to give back with not only a wonderful event for the community to connect and gather,” said Lakhani. “We really wanted to spotlight our artist market and vendors as they move into the holiday season and traditional festivals wrap up for the season.”

Over 50 food vendors will offer dishes from across the Middle East and beyond at the Atlanta Fall Halal Festival, allowing guests to explore a rich mix of global cuisines. Returning vendor favorites from the Atlanta Summer Halal Festival include Yemini coffee shop 967 Coffee Co., Pakistani cuisine-centered Khaana By Saima, Indonesian restaurant Dragon Delite, Uzbekistani eatery Laghman Express, and Mediterranean restaurant Shawarma Factory. New local picks include Jay’s Deli, Ponko Chicken, and Yaba’s Bagels. From sizzling kabobs and savory rice dishes to indulgent desserts, fresh baked goods, and refreshing drinks, all cuisine served at the Atlanta Halal Fall Festival will be prepared in accordance with halal values, meaning made with care, integrity, and respect for halal dietary values. With its bold flavors and wide variety, halal cuisine offers something for every palate, from comforting, familiar favorites to exciting new dishes waiting to be discovered.

Experience “All the Joyful Things” at Atlanta’s Upper Westside community

The Works is bringing the holiday cheer again this year, with “All The Joyful Things,” a celebration full of new festive experiences, including Big John’s Christmas Trees, pictures with Santa, live reindeer, a disco Santa party and more. Owned and developed by Selig Enterprises, the Upper Westside destination will transform into a holiday wonderland starting Nov. 1 with non-stop opportunities to savor the season.

“The Works is all about bringing the community together, and ‘All The Joyful Things’ is the perfect way to celebrate this holiday season,” said Taana Kow-Mayes, Director of Marketing and Placemaking at Selig. “From first-ever Santa visits to our new partnership with Big John’s Christmas Trees — families and neighbors can enjoy festive activities, shop, dine, and make memories together.”

All The Joyful Things festivities at The Works include:

  • Snaps with Santa (Nov. 8, 15 & Dec. 13): The Real Black Santa is making a special stop at The Works! Families are invited to stop by Suite 200A, across from The Camp, for festive photo opportunities with Santa to capture the holiday spirit. Sessions will be held on Nov. 8 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m., and Dec. 13 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Photos will be first-come, first-served. While photos are complimentary, donations are encouraged, supporting Agape Youth and Family Center. 
  • Santa Sightings (Nov. 30, Dec. 3, 4, 11 & 12): The Real Black Santa will also make special appearances at various tenants throughout The Works on select dates. The community is invited to spot Santa to share their holiday wishes and get on the nice list! Find where Santa will be via this link. 
  • Big John’s Christmas Trees (Nov. 18 to Dec. 23): For the first time ever, The Works is hosting Big John’s Christmas Trees starting on Nov. 18, with a grand opening celebrating on Nov. 22. Shoppers can enjoy browsing a festive selection of fresh-cut Christmas trees and handcrafted wreaths in the warmth and comfort of an indoor/outdoor setting – rain or shine.  Located off Chattahoochee Ave. next to Ballard Designs, this unique location offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere for shoppers to find the perfect tree. Big John’s Christmas Trees will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Tinseltone Carolers (Nov. 22): To coincide with the opening of Big John’s Christmas Trees, enjoy everyone’s favorite holiday songs with the Tinseltone Carolers on Nov. 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. Their lively performances create a joyful backdrop for holiday shopping and events.
  • Christmas Back Home featuring Scott Thompson at The Camp (Nov. 29): Enjoy a medley of classic holiday hits with a unique twist from Christmas Back Home, led by vocalist Scott Thompson. Guests can expect an evening full of music and holiday spirit at The Camp on Nov. 29 from 2 to 5 p.m.
  • Holiday Pet Pics (Nov. 29): Four-legged friends are invited to join The Works for annual Holiday Pet Pics with Woof Gang on Nov. 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. Get into the holiday spirit with festive props, giveaways and treats, located on Camp Street.

The Works’ 30+ tenants will also be involved in the ongoing holiday activations, offering curated moments and special shopping and dining opportunities for all ages. Y3S kicks things off with a Friendsgiving celebration on Nov. 26 from 5 p.m. to midnight, followed by a Black Friday event featuring special menu items, a gift card promotion and extended hours. In December, Y3S will continue the fun with a Christmas Eve celebration on Dec. 24 from 1 to 7 p.m., Christmas Karaoke on Dec. 26 from noon to midnight and a New Year’s Eve: Studio 33 party on Dec. 31 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Chattahoochee Food Works’ annual Jingle Bar returns on Nov. 28, serving festive cocktails all month long. Reservations Now Open for Dinner with Santa & Mrs. Claus at Atlanta’s Most Festive Ristorante

This holiday season, Amore e Amore is taking holiday magic to new heights. Beginning Wednesday, November 5, through Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Mama Gale and Professor Giovanni will once again transform their beloved Inman Park ristorante into The North (Highland) Pole, a whimsical winter wonderland overflowing with twinkling lights, glittering trees, and festive flourishes in celebration of Amore’s 25th anniversary during the most wonderful time of the year. 

Along with over-the-top décor, themed cocktails, and a special holiday prix fixe menu, the restaurant will welcome back Dinner with Santa & Mrs. Claus—one of Atlanta’s most anticipated holiday dining experiences.
