YEBO BEACH HAUS TRANSFORMS INTO YARROW HAUS FOR THE SUMMER

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 6/11/26

Official FIFA World Cup Photographer David Yarrow Brings Immersive Art and Dining Experience to Atlanta

As FIFA World Cup events kick off in Atlanta, Yebo Beach Haus is marking the moment and turning up the energy. This summer, the beloved Buckhead destination has transformed into Yarrow Haus, an immersive art and dining experience featuring the work of David Yarrow, the official photographer of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and one of the most collected contemporary photographers in the world.

Guests will dine among Yarrow’s bold, large-scale works – dramatic black-and-white imagery spanning wildlife, culture and cinematic narrative – each available for purchase. The exhibition transforms Yebo Beach Haus into a curated gallery where the art commands the room.

Complementing the visual experience, guests can explore Yarrow x Menagerie, a wine collection inspired by the untamed spirit of Yarrow’s lens, paired alongside Yebo Beach Haus’ signature New American Coastal Cuisine.

“Yarrow’s work stops you in your tracks, said Justin Anthony, Founder of True Story Brands. “As Atlanta welcomes the World Cup, we are proud to showcase the work of its official photographer in a setting that brings people together through food, wine and conversation.”

Yarrow’s photographs have been acquired by prominent collectors, celebrities and institutions across the globe, making Yarrow Haus a rare opportunity for Atlanta guests – and World Cup visitors – to experience his work up close over a meal.

Yarrow Haus is open throughout the summer at Yebo Beach Haus.

GEORGIA’S OWN HOSTING FREE SOCCER CLINIC FOR 300+ YOUTH

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 6/11/26

With the first World Cup game in Atlanta on the horizon, Georgia’s Own Credit Union is partnering with Inter Atlanta FC to help the next generation of soccer stars pursue their dreams, hosting a FREE youth clinic for 300+ participants on Saturday, June 13 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Historic Fourth Ward Park.

During the event, Georgia’s Own will also donate 100 soccer balls to Inter Atlanta FC, supercharging its Gratis Play program for 200+ DeKalb County youth and extending the support for youth soccer well beyond the World Cup.

Georgia’s Own Donates 175+ Soccer Balls to Expand Youth Soccer Statewide

Credit union making impact in Atlanta, Albany, Augusta and Kingsland

Georgia’s Own Credit Union, the third-largest credit union in Georgia, is celebrating the arrival of the world’s premier sporting event by donating over 175 soccer balls to youth organizations across Georgia. With the goal of increasing access to the game, Georgia’s Own is delivering balls to organizations in each of the four markets it serves: Inter Atlanta FC, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta, Camden County Soccer Club and Albany Area YMCA.

In partnership with the Fourth Ward Neighborhood Association (O4WNA) and Inter Atlanta FC, Georgia’s Own will also support the free O4W Youth Soccer Festival from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13 at Historic Fourth Ward Park. The public event is expected to draw more than 300 youth participants for coaching sessions, drills, and mini-games to sharpen their skills.

Families can register their children to participate at this link.

“With the eyes of the world on our state, we wanted to connect that energy back to our foundation’s core mission and create a lasting impact in our communities,” said Dave Preter, president and CEO of Georgia’s Own Credit Union. “There are going to be so many children inspired by watching the world’s best soccer players compete right here in our backyard, so our goal – pardon the pun – is to create more opportunities for them to play the game and dream big!”

Inter Atlanta FC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching every player’s soccer experience while enhancing the soccer culture throughout Atlanta. The 100 balls being donated by Georgia’s Own will support its Gratis Play program, which provides free soccer programming for children between ages 4 and 12 who may not have had prior access to the sport. This initiative reflects Georgia’s Own broader commitment to removing financial barriers and investing in the long-term well-being of the communities it serves.

“Our Gratis Play program is central to our mission of introducing soccer to kids at a young age and removing any financial barriers standing in their way,” said Andy Skorupski, CEO of Inter Atlanta FC. “The soccer balls donated by Georgia’s Own are a true game-changer, as each location will now have a dedicated set of balls for the first time and allow us to maximize community engagement. We are incredibly thankful for the support and know the impact will be immeasurable.”

Posted by Liz and John Attaway, 6/9/26

Immersive Experience to Feature Lost Footage from 1970 Event, Live Music and DJs,

Vintage Shopping, Food Trucks, Roller Skating, and More, July 25th, 2026

Limited Early Bird Tickets for ‘That 70s Experience’ Available at Original $16

Often mentioned in the same breath as one of the more recognizable festivals of the time, such as Woodstock, the Isle of Wight, or Summer Jam, is the Alex Cooley-produced Atlanta International Pop Festival.  A giant of its time, with crowd estimates ranging between 150,000 and 600,000 and featuring artists like rock icon Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk Railroad, B.B. King, and up-and-coming Macon-based The Allman Brothers Band, time has largely forgotten one of the first great rock festivals of the seventies- until now.

Recently discovered and never-before-seen lost footage, revived through a special archival restoration process, will bring the summer of 1970 roaring back to life. Premiering July 25th at the historic Pullman Yards, the footage will be showcased in a part immersive experience, part music history resurrection, as fans walk through rooms filled with footage from the actual festival.

Dubbed ’That 70s Experience,’ the one-day-only event will transport fans through a portal into the charged time period that danced the line between counterculture and carefree, reckless abandon.  In addition to the curated rooms showcasing the footage from the Atlanta International Pop Festival, activations will be throughout the experience. Fans can rock out to live music and DJ sets, shop retro wares in the vintage market, ink up with an on-site tattoo artist, hit the four-wheeled motion on the roller rink, grab some nosh from the food trucks, have a drink or two, and explore the 70s at their own pace.

Limited Early Bird tickets for That 70s Experience are on sale now at the original, 1970 Atlanta International Pop Festival price of $16 (before fees) for Pullman Yards subscribers. Fans can purchase general admission tickets through the link in Pullman Yards’ Instagram @PrattPullmanDistrict. That 70s Experience is an all-ages event.

Visit www.PullmanYards.com for the most up-to-date information on this and all experiences on the Pullman Yards complex. Pullman Yards is located at 225 Rogers Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia.

Following a highly successful debut in 2025, the Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival returns this summer with a brand-new location and expanded two-day format. Taking place Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12 at the Historic Old Fourth Ward Skatepark Eastside Trail BeltLine, the second annual festival will once again bring together halal cuisine, culture, entertainment, and community for an inclusive weekend celebration in the heart of Atlanta.

Hosted by the Atlanta Muslim Festival Collective (AMFC), the organization behind Atlanta’s growing lineup of halal food and cultural festivals including the Atlanta Ramadan Food Festival and Atlanta Halal Fall Festival, the Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival has quickly become one of the city’s most anticipated multicultural food events. Following strong attendance and community support during its inaugural year, the festival’s expansion reflects AMFC’s continued mission to create large-scale cultural experiences that celebrate diversity, connection, and small businesses throughout metro Atlanta.

Located along one of Atlanta’s premier trails with easy access, ample nearby parking, and walkable connectivity to surrounding neighborhoods and businesses, the Historic Old Fourth Ward Skatepark Eastside Trail BeltLine offers an energetic backdrop for the festival experience. Guests can expect a lively outdoor atmosphere featuring an extensive lineup of halal food vendors from across the Southeast, artisan merchants, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, cultural experiences, and more throughout the weekend.

“We were truly overwhelmed by the response to our first Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival and the incredible support from both Muslim and non-Muslim communities across metro Atlanta,” said Hasnain Lakhani, Founder of the Atlanta Muslim Festival Collective, Atlanta restaurateur, and entrepreneur. “Expanding to two days and moving to the BeltLine allows us to continue growing the experience in an even more accessible and vibrant location while creating additional opportunities for small businesses, food vendors, and community partners to participate. Our goal has always been to create welcoming events where everyone can gather, discover incredible food, and celebrate the diversity that makes Atlanta so special.”

A longtime metro Atlanta entrepreneur and business owner, Lakhani has helped launch and operate multiple restaurants, hospitality, and community-centered ventures throughout the region. Through AMFC, he has focused on creating large-scale events that not only spotlight halal cuisine and Muslim culture but also provide meaningful opportunities for local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and first-time vendors to connect with new audiences and grow their brands.

Festival attendees will once again have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of halal cuisine ranging from global street foods and authentic cultural dishes to desserts, specialty beverages, and modern halal culinary concepts. Like kosher or plant-based cuisine, halal food is something anyone can enjoy, and the festival remains committed to creating an environment that is educational, welcoming, and inclusive for guests of all backgrounds.

In addition to food offerings, the Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival will feature a live DJ, family-friendly games and activities, park access, a dedicated kids’ area, complimentary water stations, photo opportunities, and a vibrant artisan market showcasing local businesses, handmade goods, clothing, art, jewelry, fragrances, and more.

Tickets are now available here. Guests will receive a special festival passport allowing attendees to collect global cuisine stamps inspired by the different countries and cultures represented throughout the festival. Tickets also include customized paper hand fans and RFID wristbands featuring scannable QR codes linked to a complimentary digital photo gallery, serving as both a practical keepsake and memorable souvenir from the event. Final ticket prices will include taxes and fees.

The Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival is proudly supported by community partners, including HUM TV, Cravova, Zakat Foundation of America, and Islamic Relief USA, organizations committed to humanitarian relief, charitable engagement, and strengthening local communities.

Additional event programming, vendor announcements, sponsors, and entertainment details will be announced in the coming weeks.
