THE AVENUE PEACHTREE CITY LAUNCHES SECOND ANNUAL BLOOM CAMPAIGN: A CELEBRATION OF SUSTAINABILITY AND CONNECTION

This spring initiative invites the Peachtree City community to enjoy a lineup of events and offerings to welcome the season 


The Avenue Peachtree City today announced the return of BLOOM, a celebration dedicated to sustainable living and seasonal experiences. Taking place from April 1 through May 17, BLOOM will transform the lifestyle center into a lively destination for community engagement, featuring live music, charitable initiatives, family-friendly activities and more. 

“We’re excited to reintroduce BLOOM to the Peachtree City community with a thoughtfully curated lineup of events that foster meaningful community connections,” said Kelly Lawrence, marketing manager at The Avenue Peachtree City. “From charitable efforts like our Stepping into Spring shoe drive to interactive gatherings like our Spring Festival, this year’s programming highlights how guests can embrace the energy and renewal of the season.”

BLOOM 2026 will feature a wide selection of themed activities for guests to enjoy, including:

First Day of BLOOM Festivities: Fri., April 3 from 4:00 – 9:30 p.m. – Central Park

Join The Avenue Peachtree City on April 3 as the center officially kicks off BLOOM with a variety of community-focused, family-friendly events and activities, including:

  • Arts and Crafts Market: 4:00 – 9:30 p.m.: Watch Central Park transform into an open-air gallery of local creativity. The center’s Arts and Crafts Market will showcase handcrafted goods and original artwork from talented creators, including members of the Newnan Coweta Art Association, offering guests a chance to browse a unique selection of one-of-a-kind pieces.
  • Spring Festival and Bunny Photos: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Guests can enjoy outdoor fun with festive face painting, interactive activities and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, creating memorable springtime moments for families and friends.
  • Egg ‘Hunt’: Starting at 6:00 p.m.: Children ages two to 10 are invited to participate in a community egg hunt, racing to collect treats and fill their baskets with seasonal goodies. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as this popular event begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.
  • First Friday: 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: Guests can enjoy an evening of live music during the center’s First Friday series in partnership with The Venus Kings. Bringing music lovers and the community together through entertainment and shopping with local vendors and retailers, The Venus Kings will open the night with a performance at 7:00 p.m., followed by a set from The Natti Lovejoys

For those who aren’t able to attend this month’s performance, head to The Avenue Peachtree City on May 1 for the next edition of First Friday, which will feature performances from The Venus Kings and Highway 54 Blues Band.

Stepping into Spring Shoe Drive: Sat., April 4 at 4:00 p.m. – Kendra Scott

Hosted by Kendra Scott, this shoe drive will provide shoppers the opportunity to give back to the community by donating new or gently used shoes and sneakers to Bloom Fosters, who will distribute them to children in need. 

ON x Fleet Feet Scavenger Hunt: Thurs., April 9 at 6:30 p.m. – Fleet Feet

Lace up those shoes and head to the center for an interactive scavenger hunt throughout Peachtree City, hosted by ON and Fleet Feet

Starting at 6:30 p.m., participants will have 45 minutes to complete a series of challenges, earning raffle entries through selfies, tasks and social media posts. Once the timer runs out, attendees will reconvene at 7:25 p.m. for prizes, giveaways and more, delivering a fun, high-energy experience for all participants.

LifeSouth Blood Drive: Wed. April 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Suite 1050

Guests are encouraged to support the LifeSouth Blood Drive by donating blood to help this community-focused initiative. All donors will receive a LifeSouth umbrella, and platelet and double red cell donors will also receive a $40 e-gift card.

Fur-ever Spring: Sat., April 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Central Park

Pet lovers are invited to enjoy a lively afternoon celebrating their four-legged friends. The event will feature professional pet photography by Shannon Hughes Pet Photography, training demonstrations by Serenity K9 and a selection of local pet vendors, offering a fun and engaging experience for pets and their owners.

THE AVENUE PEACHTREE CITY CELEBRATES SPRING’S ARRIVAL WITH FIRST-EVER BLOOM CAMPAIGN: A MONTH FILLED WITH ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS, COMMUNITY-FRIENDLY FUN

 Throughout BLOOM’s month of fun, the Peachtree City community can engage in eco-friendly activities and positively impact the environment by supporting local organizations

The Avenue Peachtree City is proud to present BLOOM, a month-long series of events and activities aimed to inspire sustainable practices and celebrate the start of spring. Set to run from March 23 to April 22, BLOOM will transform The Avenue Peachtree City into a prime location for eco-friendly events and activities.

“BLOOM offers attendees a rich blend of family-friendly fun with a meaningful message,” says Johnathan Andrews, general manager at The Avenue Peachtree City. “As the need to take care of our planet grows more and more important, we hope that BLOOM not only exposes the surrounding Peachtree City community to environmentally responsible practices but also to local organizations they can support in making a lasting impact.”

BLOOM is designed to inspire visitors to embrace sustainable living practices while building a stronger sense of community and promoting fresh beginnings. BLOOM will feature a diverse range of exciting activities for people of all ages, including:

World Water Day – On Saturday, March 22 from 1 to 3 p.m., The Avenue Peachtree City will host a World Water Day celebration featuring a children’s activity table water experiments. These activities will be provided with the help of the Flint Riverkeeper, an organization that works to maintain and protect the quality and flow of the Flint River and its tributaries. The Avenue Peachtree City will also launch a fundraiser on its Facebook page, allowing attendees to support the organization’s efforts through donations. Apart from these activities, the Avenue will giveaway 200 water bottles, while supplies last. 

Spring Festival – On Friday, April 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., The Avenue Peachtree City will host its Spring Festival at Central Park, featuring face painting, Bunny photos and an egg scavenger hunt with over 10,000 eggs provided by The Church of the King. Additional children’s activities will also be available at the Spring Festival courtesy of the Southern Conservation Trust, offering areas for families to take part in a butterfly craft along with stuffy adoptions, where kids can “adopt” a plush friend to take home. 

Arts & Crafts Market –The Avenue Peachtree City will host an Arts & Crafts Market on Tuesday, April 22 from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature artists and crafters from the Newnan-Coweta Art Association, a non-profit organization that fosters art education and the appreciation of art, encouraging artists to produce original works of art and more.

Earth Day Celebration – On Tuesday, April 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., The Avenue Peachtree City will cap off BLOOM at Central Park with activities that celebrate our planet. As part of the celebration, visitors can learn about animals from AWARE Wild Life Center, a wildlife center dedicated to rehabilitating injured and orphaned native Georgia wild animals and educating the public on peacefully coexisting with wildlife. The event will also feature several children’s activities provided by the Southern Conservation Trust, including a ‘Planting for the Planet’ activity where guests can plant and take home wildflowers to help support pollinators. 

During its Spring Festival and Earth Day celebrations, visitors of The Avenue Peachtree City will also be able to learn more about Southern Conservation Trust and the Fayette Environmental Education Center, chat with their teams and explore exciting activities at their booths.

CRUISE AROUND AND WIN: FREE GOLF CART SHOW RETURNS TO THE AVENUE PEACHTREE CITY

Attendees can enjoy putt-putt golf, giveaways, and a chance to win a $500 dollar shopping spree

The Avenue Peachtree City is calling all golf cart owners to show off their rides at the center’s Golf Cart Show. Golf carts will compete to be voted “Best in Show” in two categories—business and individual—by center guests. The individual category winner will win a $500 shopping spree at the center. The event is set to be held on Saturday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

“We are thrilled to bring back the Golf Cart Show, a staple event in the golf cart-friendly Peachtree City community,” says Kelly Lawrence, marketing manager at The Avenue Peachtree City. “As a center always looking for ways to bring the community together, this event allows attendees to cruise to win at The Avenue, grab giveaway goodies, and enjoy good weather with friends and family—making it a fun-filled day for everyone.”

Those interested in participating in the competition can register their golf cart here for free. All golf carts must be registered and insured by participants. Decoration themes must be family-friendly in nature. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. and will end promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Guests can submit their votes for their favorite golf carts at the Avenue tent. In addition to voting in the competition, guests will have an opportunity to check out the latest and greatest golf carts from local golf cart companies, as well as enjoy a round of putt-putt golf and participate in exciting giveaways.

THE AVENUE PEACHTREE CITY REVS UP FOR SUMMER FUN WITH TOUCH-A-TRUCK, FATHER’S DAY CRUISE-IN AND MORE

The center’s jam-packed summer event lineup also includes

 a live music performance and outdoor movie screenings

The Avenue Peachtree City, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is gearing up for the summer season with a fantastic lineup of family-friendly events. 

“The Avenue Peachtree City is ready for an amazing summer! We are the perfect destination to enjoy beautiful days with friends and family, and our events are free and open to the public to enjoy all summer long,” says Jessica Peterson, marketing manager of The Avenue Peachtree City.

The Avenue Peachtree City will kick off the summer season with their Touch-a-Truck event on Thursday, May 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Central Park. Guests of all ages can meet and take photos with emergency response teams and their vehicles. Emergency responders will also give an inside look into how they operate and respond to calls. Participating vendors and sponsors include the Fayette County Board of Education, Mercedes Benz of Atlanta South, Peachtree City Fire Department, Southern Scapes Tree Experts and Reed Knight — COUNTRY Financial.

On June 16, The Avenue will celebrate Father’s Day with a special Cruise-In from 9-12 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring dad and cruise around, check out the vehicles on display, and stick around for lunch at one of The Avenue’s many restaurants. All vehicle years, makes and models are welcome to participate in the cruise. Guests will also have the opportunity to win a $100 Avenue gift card for dad or a loved one.

Freedom 4th – Tunes in the Park – July 4 from 6-9 p.m.

Celebrate the Fourth of July with live music from The Venue Kings and enjoy delicious local fare  from a variety of food trucks. Food truck lineup to be announced on The Avenue Peachtree City website.

Summer Movies in the Park – July 19 and August 2 from 6:45-8:45 p.m. 

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and meet us at Central Park for an outdoor movie screening. The fun begins at 6:45 p.m. with movies beginning at sunset. Movie lineup to be announced on The Avenue Peachtree City website.

THE AVENUE PEACHTREE CITY TO HOST “TOUCH-A-TRUCK” EVENT

Donations raised at event will benefit family of local hero

Thursday, May 4 5-7pm

WHO:                                     The Avenue Peachtree City is hosting a ‘Touch-a-Truck’ event for the Peachtree City community.

WHAT:                                Come explore larger-than-life trucks, heavy construction and public safety equipment at The Avenue! Family and friends are invited to explore local trucks, meet vehicle owners and operators while learning more about them. The event is free and open to the public.

                                                Vehicles and equipment in attendance include:

●     School bus

●     Police vehicles

●     SWAT vehicles

●     Fire truck

●     Ambulance

●     Grapple truck

●     Tow trucks

●     Skid steer

●     Mini excavator

●     Heavy construction equipment

●     Mulcher

●     80’s-themed food truck

All donations raised at the event will go directly to the family of Toby Bowden, the driver of Parker’s Towing tow truck who attended the event last year. Toby, a retired Marine, father and soon to be husband lost his life while doing his job March 15th, 2023.
