PAWS FEST RETURNS TO THE AVENUE WEST COBB FEATURING DOCKDOGS® NATIONAL SPORTSMEN’S SERIES COMPETITION

Exhilarating event to feature pet vendors, giveaways, and a live DJ for furry friends and families

Saturday, 5/18 and Sunday, 5/19

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is preparing to host its second annual dog-friendly event—Paws Fest. The two-day event will kick off on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. and conclude Sunday, May 19 at 4:30 p.m. 

“Hosting events like Paws Fest allows us to create moments our guests and their furry friends will never forget,” said Alondra Moya, marketing manager of The Avenue West Cobb. “We are constantly looking for ways to be an entertainment destination within our community, and this is a perfect example of how we are bringing together friends, family and beloved pets for a day of pure joy.” 

An exciting entertainment experience for dog lovers and pet parents, Paws Fest will feature several high-flying canine competitions, as part of DockDogs® National Sportsmen’s Series. Competitions taking place throughout the two-day event include the Big Air Wave competition, Extreme Vertical competition and Speed Retrieve competition. Visitors attending Paws Fest can watch the contests on both days at the following times:

Schedule for Saturday, May 18:

  • Onsite Registration/Practice – 10 a.m.
  • Big Air Wave #1 – 11 a.m.
  • Big Air Wave #2 – 12:30 pm
  • Big Air Wave #3 – 2 p.m.

  • Big Air Finals (Pro, Semi Pro, Contender & Amateur) – 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the DockDogs® competitions, multiple local pet-friendly vendors — such as Bark Street Petopia and Bark N Bunk— will host interactive vendor booths showcasing hard-to-find items like all-natural grain-free dog treats, pet odor-eliminating candles and more.

CELEBRATE EARTH DAY WITH FREE RECYCLING SERVICES AT THE AVENUE WEST COBB

Guests are encouraged to bring recyclables, documents for 

shredding, and old electronics for proper disposal

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is celebrating Earth Day with free recycling services for the whole community on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

“There’s no better day to start spring cleaning than Earth Day! We look forward to welcoming guests to our center and working together to keep our community clean,” said Alondra Moya, marketing manager at The Avenue West Cobb. “Thanks to our longtime tenant, Local Realty, we’ve been able to offer these services to the community year after year at no cost, and thus, encourage our community to leave a positive lasting impact on our planet.”

Community members can do their part in keeping the community clean with complimentary spring cleaning services. Recycling opportunities include secured computer and electronic recycling, document shredding, and a dumpster for small trash items.

CELEBRATE SPRING WITH FREE EASTER ACTIVITIES AT THE AVENUE WEST COBB’S ANNUAL SPRING FESTIVAL

The family-friendly event will feature activities for kids of all ages including an 

egg drop, scavenger hunt, bounce house, petting zoo and more

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is kicking off spring with its annual Spring Festival. The event is set to be held on Friday, March 29 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the center’s Green Space. 

“Spring is here! We’re looking forward to welcoming Marietta community members to the center as the days get longer and flowers begin to bloom,” said Alondra Moya, marketing manager for The Avenue West Cobb. “Our annual Spring Festival is a staple in the local community and this year we’ve ensured there are plenty of fun activities for kids of all ages.”

Open and free to the public, the Spring Festival will allow families to embrace the festive spirit with an array of activities. During the event, the Easter bunny will visit The Avenue and be available to take selfies with guests. Other activities throughout the event include:

  • A delightful egg drop for children under 5
  • An engaging scavenger hunt designed for older kids
  • Captivating face painters
  • A thrilling bounce house

THE AVENUE WEST COBB CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS WITH SPIRITED LINEUP OF EVENTS

Guests invited to get into holiday spirit with events including photos with Santa, live music performances and more

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is gearing up for the holidays with a series of celebratory events throughout the season.

“The holiday season is finally here and we are thrilled to be hosting countless seasonal events and activities for the Marietta community to enjoy,” said Aimee Braswell, regional marketing manager for JLL. “From our charming Christmas carolers to selfies with beloved holiday characters, there is something for all of our guests to enjoy while shopping for their loved ones .”

On November 29, Santa will make his grand entrance at The Avenue West Cobb — arriving in a sports car as bubbles fill the air. That day and on every Wednesday until Christmas, guests will have the opportunity to capture photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who have been celebrating the holidays at the center for over 20 years. 

Photos are self-taken and offered at no cost. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos from  5 – 7 p.m. near Seasonal Designs in Suite 360 on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, November 29
  • Wednesday, December 6
  • Wednesday, December 13
  • Wednesday, December 20

In addition to photos with Santa, guests can take selfies with their favorite holiday characters as they stroll the Avenue from 1 – 3 p.m. on December 3, December 9 and December 17.

On Wednesday, December 13 from 5 – 7 p.m., The Avenue West Cobb will host their 13th annual Christmas Concert featuring Brent McDonald Music. The center will also welcome local, strolling Christmas carolers on the following dates:

  • Saturday, December 9 from 1-3 p.m.

Celebrate the fall season with Halloween activities including trick-or-treating,

spooky zoo animals and more

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is celebrating Halloween with their annual Fall Festival. The Fall Festival will be held on Tuesday, October 31 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“The Avenue West Cobb’s annual Fall Festival has become a Marietta community favorite over the years and we look forward to welcoming guests to the center to show off their costumes in celebration of Halloween,” said Taylor Campbell, marketing manager at The Avenue West Cobb. “This event will kick off our exciting lineup of holiday events through the rest of the year. We hope to see many community members come out to the Avenue to celebrate the holidays with us.”

The Marietta community is invited to walk around the Avenue for a family-friendly, fun and safe Halloween celebration. Fall Festival guests will have the opportunity to participate in store-to-store trick-or-treating and pick up delicious candy treats from their favorite tenants at The Avenue. 

In addition to trick-or-treating, other activities available for guests to enjoy include:

  • Pumpkin picking
  • Spooky zoo animals
  • Kids corn/hay maze
  • Caricaturists/Face painting
  • Strolling movie characters

AVENUE WEST COBB HOSTS TOUCH-A-TRUCK EVENT

Guests are invited to explore larger-than-life trucks, including heavy-construction 

and public safety equipment, and meet the people who operate them

The Avenue West Cobb, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is gearing up to host their Touch-a-Truck event. The event will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 6-8 p.m. 

The perfect event for families with kids of all ages, The Avenue’s Touch-a-Truck event will bring the community’s coolest trucks, vehicles and equipment to one location — giving community members the opportunity to check out the larger-than-life trucks for themselves. Guests will also be able to learn more about the trucks and the people who operate them at the event.

Trucks, vehicles and equipment in attendance include:

  • SWAT truck
  • Police Squad Cars
  • School Bus
  • Concrete Mixer Truck
  • Bucket Truck
  • Phoenix Crane
  • Vintage Army Truck

In addition to checking out the trucks, guests will also be able to participate in various activities and entertainment, including balloon artists, face painting, a bounce house and a live DJ, and pick up yummy snacks and treats from local food trucks, including C’est Tout Bon 2 EatWild Caught Seafood Truck and Love At Wurst Sight.

RING IN SPRING AT THE AVENUE WEST COBB AND PEACHTREE CITY’S SPRING FESTIVAL

The Avenue West Cobb & Peachtree City, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is celebrating the start of the spring season with their annual Spring Festival. The festival will be held on Thursday, April 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Marietta community members are invited to stroll the Avenue and enjoy a fun Spring celebration. The festival’s main event, a special Easter Egg hunt will kick off at 7 p.m. at The Green (located between GameStop and Seasonal Designs). Guests looking to collect some sweet treats are encouraged to bring their baskets to join in on the fun.

Spring Festival guests will also have the opportunity to participate in various seasonal activities including:

  • Selfies with the Easter Bunny and Baby Chick
  • Live music spun by a DJ
  • Balloonists
  • Face painting
  • Mini petting zoo
  • Bounce house
