 If good ideas are a dime a dozen, co-founders Nick Purdy and Eric Johnson honed in on (and executed) the right one when they started Wild Heaven Beer 12 years ago. Through its decade-plus existence, Wild Heaven has created some of the most widely recognized beers highly regarded for taste, creativity, and branding. Beginning with Ode to Mercy Brown Ale and Invocation Belgian-style Golden Ale through to its bestselling Emergency Drinking Beer, ATL Easy Ale, and Sunburst IPA, behind the guidance of Brewmaster Eric Johnson, Wild Heaven has been in constant pursuit of keeping fans engaged.

In recognition of its 12th Anniversary, Wild Heaven will be celebrating at its Atlanta-area taprooms, September 9th – 11th, releasing a series of special Saisons, rare beers from the Wild Heaven cellar, and funky barrel-aged blends. Additionally, each taproom- Avondale Estates and West End, will feature live music, giveaways, and food specials. To kick the weekend’s festivities off, Wild Heaven presents: An evening with The REMakes – A Tribute to Early R.E.M., at The Garden Club at Wild Heaven West End, September 09, at 7:00 pm. INAUGURAL BEER OLYMPICS AT RED’S BEER GARDEN

Friday, September 9, 2022 at 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Calling all beer lovers! Red’s Beer Garden is hosting their inaugural beer olympics, Crush The Cooler, with Monday Night Brewing on Friday, September 9th from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday Night will be taking over one of Red’s six self-serve coolers and filling it up with their Blind Pirate IPA, Taco Tuesday Lager, Dr. Robot Sour, Death Raptor IPA, Slap Fight Ale, and Space Lettuce DIPA for attendees to crush. As an added bonus, guests will have the chance to win a beer and pizza party for six with two full pies and three brews per person simply by purchasing a Monday Night beer from the cooler or on draft. Red’s expansive, dog-friendly beer garden will provide the perfect setting for Olympians to win more prizes beginning at 6:30 p.m. and test their skills during head-to-head competition including flip cup, beer pong and corn hole. Finally, the best dressed participant decked out in Olympic gear who not only masters the catwalk, but can do “the robot” like a champ will take home a prize and bragging rights. Along with their full menu, Red’s will be serving a Gold Medal Tacos special featuring seasoned ground beef or ground Beyond Meat crumbles with shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a hot sauce packet. Crush The Cooler at Red’s Beer Garden is free to attend and guests must be 21 or older to participate in any of the games and to win prizes. Dogs are welcome. Southern Wilds will be hosting their second-ever festival on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at one of
Lawrenceville, Georgia’s favorite gathering spots, Slow Pour Brewing Co. Attendees can expect two stages
of live music, craft beer, food trucks, a market of local artists, and a whole lot of fun.

Anderson East (@andersoneast), most notable for his single, “Satisfy Me,” and Kidd G (@the.kiddg), who
went viral on TikTok with his single, “Dirt Road,” will headline the show on Saturday evening, and they will
be joined throughout the day by A Thousand Horses (@athousandhorses), Tiera Kennedy (@tieramusic),
Cam Christian (@camchristian.mp3), Grace Asbury (@graceasburymusic), Brendan Abernathy
(@brendanabernathy), and more.

Starting as low as $35, three ticket options will be available to purchase: General Admission, VIP, and

CELEBRATE THE RETURN OF SUMMER SHADE AT EVENTIDE BREWING

Come raise a glass at Eventide Brewing to celebrate the return of their beloved Summer Shade Pale Ale on August 19 from 4-10 p.m.! In addition to Eventide’s brews, guests will also be able to enjoy live entertainment from local musician Alex Cavanaugh and smashburgers for purchase from Sugar Loaf. Admission is free and 10% of all Summer Shade package sales will go toward the Grant Park Conservancy, a nonprofit that focuses on preserving and enhancing the Grant Park community.

Bring friends, family, and pups to celebrate finding four-legged friends a forever home at Red’s Beer Garden on Saturday, August 20th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Located in Benteen Park between Grant Park and East Atlanta, the charity event will contribute 10% of all proceeds to PAWS Atlanta, a no-kill shelter that provides love, care and basic training to enrich the lives of orphaned dogs and cats until permanent, safe homes can be provided. Guests can explore more than 300 beverages including craft beer, wine, ciders, hard seltzers and brews on tap that are handpicked by owner and beer expert Kristen Sumpter, aka Red. NATIONAL DOG DAY PARTY AT EVENTIDE BREWING

Celebrate doggos, puppers & woofers at Eventide Brewing’s National Dog Day party on Friday, August 26

Grant Park’s favorite brewery is rolling out the red carpet for its four-legged friends with vendors, plenty of canine treats & free beer for anyone who donates to PAWS Atlanta

Get ready for a doggone great time celebrating pups big and small at Eventide Brewing on Friday, August 26 4-10 PM. 

Grant Park’s favorite brewery is toasting man’s and woman’s best friend this National Dog Day. The festivities, which kickoff at 4 p.m., will be emceed by Benny the Berner and include:  

  • PAWS Atlanta, which will be onsite with adoptable pups and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, Eventide is hosting a donation drive and everyone who brings an item will receive a free pint. Items needed include: 
    • Hill’s Science Diet adult dog food
    • Newspapers
    • Regular unscented bleach
    • Trash bags (heavy 55 – 60 gallon and 13-gallon tall kitchen) 
    • Milk-Bones
    • Kong toys
  • Atlanta Dog Rescue Cafe, which will provide fun and interactive pet education for all ages. 
  • Big Daddy Biscuits, which will have plenty of all-natural, healthy treats for sale. 
  • Blue Grasshopper Creations, which will be selling handmade dog bow ties, bandanas and more.
  • Greatest of All Pops (GOAP), which will be on hand with cool pupsicles to help your four-legged friends beat the dog days of summer.
  • Creative Caricatures, which will have an artist on hand to capture unique illustrations of you and your best friend. 

Also, Eventide Brewing will be serving a “Pooch Pilsner” and “Pooch Porter” (made with chicken and beef broth, respectively), depending on your dog’s preference. 

Finally, there will be a dog-owner look alike contest where the winner will receive free beer for the rest of 2022. Registration will take place from 6 to 7 p.m., with the contest beginning at 8 p.m. 

Whether you have a smol, a chunky boy or an absolute unit, all puppers (as long as they we well-behaved) are welcome!

LIVE! AT THE BATTERY TEAMS UP WITH TERRAPIN BEER CO. TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL BREW FEST

Will Feature Tastings of Over 100 Beers, Local Vendors, Live Music, Games & More

 

Held from 3-6pm on the Lawn Between Live! at the Battery & Terrapin’s Atlanta Brewery & Taproom 

 

 Live! at The Battery – the entertainment destination located in the heart of The Battery Atlanta – is teaming up with Athens-based brewery Terrapin Beer Co. to host the second-annual Brew Fest on Saturday, August 13 from 3-7pm at The Battery Atlanta. Bringing together beer enthusiasts and brewers, many local and craft-focused, the event invites attendees to taste over 100 beers, listen to live music on The Plaza stage, shop items from local vendors, play games and more.

Featured breweries – stationed outside at Live! at The Battery and Terrapin’s Atlanta Brewery and Taproom, plus on the lawn between the two – will include Terrapin Beer Co., Second Self Beer Co., Scofflaw Brewing Co., Gate City Brewing, Steady Hand Beer Co, Dry County Brewing Co, Monday Night Brewing, New Realm Brewery, Orpheus Brewing and many more. They will pour fan favorites alongside rare and experimental brews.

General admission ($30 early bird / $40 regular) and VIP ($60 early bird / $70 regular) tickets are now available here. Each ticket includes entry into the event, a souvenir tasting glass and unlimited beer tastings. VIP ticket holders will also enjoy exclusive access to a VIP area with an elevated buffet plus a swag bag. 

In 2017, Terrapin became the first craft brewery in Georgia to open a second location, with the opening of the Atlanta Brewery and Taproom at The Battery across from Live! At The Battery. In addition to producing many of its year-round and seasonal brands, Terrapin’s Atlanta brewery and taproom serves as its Research and Development pipeline, testing new beers to potentially go to market.

A one-of-a-kind place to catch sports, dine in style, sip cold beer and crafted cocktails, play games and do a bit of bull riding and line dancing, Live! The Battery plays host to some of Atlanta’s most fun food and drink events.
